You can pull the theme through everything - look for invitations that feature those colors, you can find bridesmaid dresses with those colors. Specialty linens. Red roses, of course. I did an event last month where the centerpieces would be perfect for you - black magic roses in a square vase, with a black ribbon around the vase with a silver/diamond brooch in the middle of the ribbon. I can send you pictures, if you like.

Also, red velvet cake is that complete combination of black, red, and white. And it's delicious.

Ive seen weddings with those colors and centerpieces with tall feathers and crystals. I think it would be very glamorus!

Think Old Hollywood elegance!
Try tall black glass trumpet vases of white Calla lilly with a collar of red Black Magic roses.
sprinkle the base of the table with red rose petals and add crystal votives.
Continue the theme in invitations use crisp white paper with black velvet and red satin touches.

Linens can be solid white satin with Black satin napkins , add a single red rose at each place setting tied with black & white ribbon.
touches of silver , tiny stars or hearts would be fun.

Zen Garden look. Use pretty white Butterfly orchid plants accented with one red rose cut short and placed on base of plant and place in a Black japanese laquer Bento box with candles.
Ultra Chic and crisp with a soothing feel.

Think about the time of day and level of formality. For a formal evening wedding you could use lots of black. But for a day wedding, you may want to pick red as your overall accent color with touches of black on a primarily white backdrop. For example, you may not want black table clothes for a day wedding but centerpieces with red roses and black accents on the tables. Using color with the napkins, chargers, menus or drinking glasses could be just enough color on an otherwise white tablescape. A white dress with a simple red sash. For a formal evening event, having your bridal party entirely in black would be fine; but for day perhaps red bridesmaids dresses with black or white sashes.

For an interesting black & white cake idea check this link, most people either love it or just don't - imagine the cake with red roses, that could work for your color scheme.

Hope the info is helpful. Happy planning!

You could do alot with that color combination, time of day can determine how you use the colors. For an evening wedding I see an elegant black and white with red accents. Centerpieces all red roses. Chairs bows in black w/red roses . I created a bridal canvas for you , as an inspiration board. feel free to create your own

I love the color theme! I plan to do mine the same. I love the idea of black brides maid dresses with red heels. I also love the idea of a red and white bouquet with black ribbon. If your man is wearing a suit, I recommend a black suit with a red vest and black tie since the shirt will be white. Here is a picture:

I think a dress with red in it is a nice statement as well. Davids Bridal carries a very nice dress with red accents. Here is a nice example of what I mean:!White_and_red_wedding_dress.jpg

Your photographs will be incredible with colors like that because they are very bold. Black and white portraits: gorgeous; black and white portraits w/ hints of color: even better.

Without knowing your ceremony site and reception particulars it's hard to comment further but centerpieces of red and black votives floating in a bowl with red rose petalals:stunning

LOVE LOVE THE COLORS! And congrats! For centerpieces you can do the ostrich feather centerpieces with the tall vase. The feather colors you can have all three colors in each centerpiece. Very unique! You will get the wow factor from your guest and its stunning to walk in to the room when you see them!

These are also my colors and I am getting married may 23, 2009. I am using black, red and white roses, for my centerpieces I bought red and black bowls from pottery barn and put styrofoam in the bottom, put in a ribbon wrapped dowel rod and made topiaries out of tulle. after the topiaries were done I added small red and black flower picks to them and tied a black ribbon at the bottom. They turned out really pretty and they are different, not the normal flower topiaries everyone else has. I have the tux and wedding dress favor boxes as well as other tux and dress decorations. My dress is white with a red ribbon and a black sash, my bridesmaids dresses are black and white and they are wearing red heals. My veil has black trim around it and my headband tiara has red crystal flowers on it. These colors are very elegant and Im sure whatever ideas you come up with will be beautiful! Congrats on your engagement and good luck.

I have a beautiful Burgundy and White wedding gown that would help you with your "is red ok" dilemma, check it out if you get the chance. Red is a very popular color for brides specifically in Asia, it is actually a tradition that they wear red.

Great colors! A personalized aisle runner is a great way to add a unique touch to your wedding. To add a very elegant touch, you could do a black runner with white lettering or go the more traditional route with a white runner with black lettering and maybe add a few red touches. If you would like to see complimentary samples or would like a brochure, please feel free to contact me.

Red is a wonderful wedidng color! How about creating a photo thank you card for your guests that features a red Thank You parasol? You can buy one in my etsy shop:

It's the perfect way to add some red pizazz to your thank you cards without it being too much.

White unscented votives to your tables for candlelight is a great addition. These candles are made of natural waxes are great for the environment.
