Our cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious!! Key Lime Bliss is the way to go! Can't wait to eat our anniversary cake!!!

We ordered key lime bliss cupcakes and a cake topper from Great Cakes. The cupcakes and cake were absolutely delicious and everyone loved them. However, we took issue with knowledge and professionalism of Great Cakes. We are unsure if this was Marsha herself or attributable to her assistants. It took several emails and finally a phone call to straighten out our balance due as the wedding date approached as the assistant was new and unclear about what we actually wanted and had paid. Finally, during the week of the wedding we attempted to get a time estimate of when our cupcakes would be delivered because we planned on decorating the cake table. This was a nightmare. I was in contact with Marsha's assistant Bill through email and he seemed to completely miss the boat. Our ceremony and reception were in the same location and Bill told me our cupcakes would be delivered at 5:15pm, which is when our ceremony was supposed to start. Bill never really seemed to grasp that if they delivered at 5:15pm they would be delivering in the middle of our ceremony since both were in the same location. His final email to me said "don't worry we are professionals. we would not deliver during your ceremony." My fiance finally called and we were assured that our cupcakes would be delivered 1-3hrs prior to the event starting and no later than 4:30pm. Well, our cupcakes were delivered at 5:05pm. Not to mention the tardiness of this, stressed out our event planner and my fiance who was taking care of the final details. We also had in our contract that we would provide fresh flowers to decorate the cake topper with. We did exactly what we were told - we left the flowers in vase with the cupcake table. However, when we came in for our reception, the flowers were in the same place we left them. Whoever delivered the flowers, did not bother to decorate our topper with the flowers we provided. All is all, the cake was delicious, but the assistants who work for great cakes seem to be idiots. I'm not sure who thinks it's a good idea to deliver the wedding cake 10mins prior to the event starting when all guests have arrived.

Martha of Great Cakes is a creative genius! Just going to her website and seeing all her different designs is so much fun! They taste even better than they look! I absolutely recommend her delicious key lime bliss flavor, and this is coming from someone who does not like key lime (pie at least). I wish I had gotten more than the piece my husband and I fed each other but now I have something to look forward to on our year anniversary. (side note: I left our top tier at my mother's so my husband isn't tempted to sneak a bite when I'm not looking, LOL!)

Marsha put together a beautiful cake for our wedding day. We were skeptical about the Key Lime Bliss flavor at first, but once we tasted it, we knew we had to have it! We kept it a surprise for our guests, and everyone told us it was delicious. She also made a birthday cake for my dad, whose birthday was the same day as our wedding. She is professional, and is highly recommended.

Our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted, absolutely beautiful! When we met with them in August of 2010 (our wedding was end of June 2011), we talked about what we were looking for and they remembered and included the small added touches we asked for. Aside from being beautiful, it was oh so delicious too! We did 2 flavors (the key lime bliss and coconut) and I had to have 1 of each.

Great Cakes! provided me with my Groom's Cake for our Rehearsal Dinner. They did an amazing job creating a Philadelphia Eagles football helmet! The color was perfect, the 3-D shape was perfect and the TASTE WAS EVEN BETTER!

Marsha and Ashley were so responsive over email and provided specific instructions for every detail along the way. They were an absolute pleasure to work with! I would work with them again and again.

My wedding cake was the key lime bliss cake, it was so good and everyone loved it.
As addition we added lots of cup cakes with different flavors and fillings. We had like 50 cup cakes and 5 different fillings which got switched in between the cake flavors. Everyone loved the look and the taste of the cake. Great Cakes even matched the color theme of the wedding as well as the flowers. Everything looked so great and I would do it again.

We also used Marsha as our officiant. She is so flexible and we were able to pick our own ceremony. She just did a great job and we felt comfortable with Marsha.

Our wedding cake was PHENOMENAL! We went with a key lime cake with rasberry filling-- had multiple comments on how unique and enjoyable the cake was.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum! If you love cake...well...look no further! Key lime bliss is beyond amazing! There was not one wedding guest that did not love our cake. Yes, it was pretty to look at, but dang, it tasted good! We opted to go with one layer that was "safe", for those picky eaters that might not like key lime. We had 2 layers of key lime and one layer of almond cake with raspberry filling. They were both to die for! We also had a chocolate chip grooms cake - delicious! And for dessert the night prior at rehearsal dinner, we had marble cake with chocolate ganache filling - I'm salivating as I type this! As far as flavors - I could not be happier.

Now, presentation is a tiny bit of a different story - and I really mean tiny. The cake we chose for rehearsal dinner got stuck to the box on the top. We had writing on there and it ended up smudging it and you couldn't really read it very well. Oh well, we fixed it the best we could (I shouldn't say we...my MIL fixed it). We didn't see a reason for delivery for rehearsal dinner - maybe we should have thought otherwise. The wedding cake had a bubble on the side of one of the layers. You couldn't really see it unless you were looking for something to be wrong. Well, I was the bride and I have a ridiculous amount of attention to detail so I saw it. No one mentioned it and I knew it was going to taste de-lic-ious so I decided it wasn't a big deal. Also, I had the little pearl looking dots of icing on the cake. When we did our consult, I had requested that they not be so big as they were on the sample but they were the same size as the sample. Once again, it tasted amazing, so - oh well. Minor details. It still looked pretty and I was happy - nothing was going to ruin my day! The grooms cake - absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! It was an eagle/globe/anchor (marine corps insignia) and she rocked it! I will gladly use Marsha again!

The Key Lime Bliss cake is amazing! We loved the look of our cake and were very happy with it overall. However, we were a little disappointed when we noticed that there were not enough edible shells per person (which we paid extra for) and that the edible sand element of our cake design was not there.

Great Cakes is a top dollar bakery. They will make you a cake that will stand the test of time; I should know for my cake melted and the cake lady came back to fix it within minutes of my ceremony on the beach! No bride wants to have the experience of the cake falling apart but I found out at cocktail hour and had not a clue by looking at the cake. It was a masterpiece of icing around the rim of each tier of cake. The sand was to die for and the sea shells were wonderful for not many people knew that they were even eatable since they looked so real (MORE FOR ME!). The people at Great Cakes are always there to answer your questions and if they received your email or phone call or even letter with a check inside of it they were there on the phone within 24 hours getting back to you to communicate. The raspberry filling with the lemon cake "sand" is the best part and I cannot wait to get another cake from her send to me in PA! A standing ovation goes out to this cute little bakery where you become a family/friend when tasting your trial cake in the kitchen.

We were very excited to work with Marsha not only for our cake, but also to use her as our officiant. We selected the Key Lime Bliss cake which was absolutely delicious at tasting. When she arrived to our rental the day of the wedding the cake was beautiful… from the front. On the back of the cake there was a huge bubble. Several members of the bridal party pointed it out to her and asked if she was going to fix it and she said no. When we arrived back at the house the bubble had popped and there was a large part hole in the frosting showing the cake. It was still delicious as all but the topper was eaten, but all photographs taken from a certain angle show the issue.

As for Marsha as the officiant, we were very excited because she gave us several different options for our ceremony. We were able to pick and choose the exact feel of our ceremony. On the day of Marsha came to go over the ceremony, there was a section missing that we had really wanted in the ceremony. After our ceremony was over she invited us to take a walk down the beach as husband and wife. She was then supposed to direct the bridal party to meet us down the beach and direct everyone else to choose a seashell and make a wish. After this she was to ask them to head back to the house for cocktails and appetizers. She did neither of these. Our bridal party had to guess to follow us (because she changed this day of) and then we had to send them back to tell everyone what to do. I would not recommend using her as the officiant.
