The cake Robin made for our wedding at the Roanoke Island Aquarium was spectacular. It was absolutely perfect, our guests were so amazed at all of the detail work that she put into it; the white chocolate starfish/shells, the hard-candy sea glass, and the beach fencing. We had originally ordered a 3 tier cake but when we gave Robin our final head count a week before the wedding she informed me that she didn’t think it would be enough for 140 people and suggested that we get the 4 tier cake. We were hesitant at first because we didn’t want to take a ton of cake back home, but in the end decided to go with the larger cake and man was it a good idea! We had hardly any cake left over. Other than the piece that we initially cut my husband and I didn’t get to eat any of the cake. We heard from our guests that the cake was delicious especially the red velvet! As at most weddings we were sent home with the top of the cake. However, we heard many different stories (mostly horror) about freezing the cake for our 1 year anniversary. So we decided to eat the top layer at our 1 week anniversary and it was delicious even then! Thank you Robin for the delicious and beautiful cake!

The Wedding Cake, "Chairs" Beach Theme, was absolute perfection! The cake was not only beautifully decorated, but the taste and freshness was exquisite! Family and friends raved continuously about it being the best cake they had ever eaten! It was absolutely worth every cent spent and we can't thank you enough for being the final perfect touch to the day and reception!!

Cakes by Robin was by far the most delicious cake that we sampled on the OBX.. Homemade and delicious!!! The presentation and Robins sweet spirit made our day one to remember ... All our guests LOVED the cake!!! Thanks again!!!

We loved our Cake by Robin! She did a great job and our cake was a huge hit. My husband likes simple cake, and we opted for a traditional yellow butter cake with icing. I showed her a few photos of what I liked, but ultimately let her run with it. I'm a firm believer in letting the professionals do what they do best, so I was open to her interpretation of what I liked online. We ordered a cake based on our initial number guest list of 350, and just decided to stick with it even though our final count was just over 200, because we were happy to have leftover cake. Our entire cake was gone at the end of our reception! Almost all of our guests went back for seconds (and in some cases, thirds), no one could stop eating this cake!

We took home our top layer to freeze, but my husband loved the cake so much he ate it the next day. It never even made it to our freezer! On our 1st anniversary Robin made us a small anniversary cake, and again, my husband dug into it before lunchtime! Needless to say, we really liked our cake!

Robin is the best!! She is famous around the OBX for how awesome her cake tastes and looks!

Robin- Thank you so much for our beautiful AND delicious cake! We loved it and so did our guests! I don't know how many weddings we've been to where the cake is hardly eaten and there is a lot left over... NOT IN THIS CASE! We saved the top tier for our one year anniversary and we would definitely order from you again!!!!

Robin did an excellent job with our cake. It was just as I had asked and when you're planning a wedding from afar you never quite know what will happen. She did a great job!

Robin was WONDERFUL and more importantly, so was her cake!! I didn't have the chance to meet her, but several short phone conversations, and I had the most gorgeous, most delicious cake! She seems to specialize in beach-themed cakes (duh, she's on the coast!) and mine was positively beautiful! I only needed a cake for 20 people, so it was small, but it still looked just as lovely as her large cakes. She delivered it to our beach house (the venue) herself, and again... it was SO GOOD! Everyone kept raving about the icing, and I just couldn't get over how cute it was :) I highly recommend Robin, she has both a website and a Facebook page so you can get an idea of her work, but you can't taste them through the internet, so trust me when I say it tastes every bit as fantastic as it looks!
