The staff was great to work with. They are quick to help you find what you are looking for. The alterations department could use some help. I sat there waiting for my dress a few days before the wedding & no one came out to see me. Then when they did they helped people who had just gotten there & left me waiting. The manager was very helpful & went in to get my dress.

Portland, ME - Best value for a dress, hands down. The dress was gorgeous and all night everyone told me that it looked like it was literally made for me. Don't go in expecting Kleinfeld's. It's "do-it-yourself." Bring a list of gowns you want to try. Bring a friend to help you change. Bring a camera. Then buy your gown for so much less than you would spend elsewhere and be thrilled about the great deal you just got. The quality of my dress was very very high. Alteration department was a dream, very very talented.

The same is true for bridesmaid's dresses. Go with the styles you want to try and friends. Enough said.

I went to David's bridal and actually found a dress that was on sale for 200 and I loved it!!!! It was elegant and simple and fit me perfectly!!! Yeah you don't get exceptional service...it's a bargain store for dresses..but if you're looking for something cheap but nice, it's the way to go!!! No one knew that I paid barely anything for it and I got complimented left and right.

David's was very helpful ordering the dresses and assisting with the fittings (bridesmaids). But when we went to pick them up they had a size 20+ for my size 2 bridesmaid! They were going to make her drive back (and hour away) the next day to have the seamstress fix it for her. It was only after arguing with them that they found the right size at another location and had it overnighted to the bridesmaids house.
I was dissapointed that they did not respond better to the situation that was clearly their mistake. Other than that they were fine.

The dress was perfect...and on sale! The sakles staff were not as responsive or friendly as I would have liked. I was also not comfortable with their onsite tailoring professional. I had the alterations done by a friend.
