What services does a wedding florist provide?

A wedding florist provides a variety of services, some of which might not be obvious at first.

Consultation: Your wedding florist will meet with you to discuss your vision for your wedding—your venue, your wedding style, your desired color palette, and the types of flowers you like and dislike. Your florist will then create a proposal which will describe the arrangements he or she will create as well as the prices.
Samples: After you’ve signed a contract and shortly before your wedding, your florist may also provide sample arrangements to ensure that you’re on the same page about how your wedding-day flowers will look.
Flowers: A big part of your wedding flower budget will go to the actual purchasing of the flowers. It actually takes several hours for a florist to put a flower order together—and the flowers your florist will receive from his or her wholesaler or grower are far better quality than the ones you can buy at your local grocery store. They’re grown especially to be featured at events and are hand-selected for their quality.
Flower processing and storage: Once your flowers arrive to your florist, he or she will take several hours (often a whole day!) to process your flowers (taking thorns off of roses, counting the flowers, etc.) and storing them in a refrigerated space to ensure they look amazing on your wedding day.
Labor and production: Now, it’s time for your florist to create those beautiful arrangements! Each arrangement takes time to design (probably more than you would think!), so it’s quite a long process.
Delivery and set up: Your florist and his/her team will then bring your arrangements to your venue. A good amount of work needs to be done on premises to make sure that your ceremony and reception looks picture-perfect, from the altar to the reception table arrangements.
Cleanup: After your wedding, your florist and his/her team will go to your venue to remove all of the arrangements and vessels, and assist with cleanup.

If you are looking for florists for your wedding in the Lakes Region, LAKES REGION FLORAL STUDIO will blow you away. From our first consultation call with Susan in spring 2022 (for our 2023 Wedding), during which she wrote up a BEAUTIFUL document including every SINGLE detail, to our actual wedding day, Susan defied any expectations we could have even had for our wedding day. We can't put into words how special Susan made this experience for us, but her talent and brilliance combined with her kindness and thoughtfulness will truly deliver the wedding of your dreams. We shared a few images with Susan as well as colors we were hoping to include and an overall vision for the day, and ultimately said we will follow any of her leads and trust her implicitly. If you do anything, trust Susan implicitly. Her florals blew us AWAY. Her florals were present at our Welcome Night, our Wedding Day, and our Farewell Brunch. They lasted spread across three days and they were vibrant and beautiful each day. We received SO many compliments on these flowers. Susan was everywhere all at once. She was there Friday before our welcome event and by the time we arrived the place was decorated beautifully. On our wedding day, we arrived and our bouquets, the boutonnieres, the flowers for the cake, and all across the venue were places meticulously. Some time between the ceremony and reception while we were taking photos, Susan TOOK DOWN ALL of the ceremony flowers and put them all up in the reception ballroom in addition to the flowers she had already set up. Susan stood with us when we were waiting to walk down the aisle and she was such a wonderful, calming, kind presence. We truly cannot recommend her and Lakes Region Floral enough. You will not regret it. We would like to have her (and her flowers) at all of our future events! :) PS - for what it's worth, my wife and I are a same-sex couple, and for Susan that never seemed to matter one bit. We felt so seen and so celebrated. Thank you forever, Susan!
