When you choose The Lily Pad for your wedding flowers, you have the benefit of the expertise and creativity of it’s owner, Kirsten.  From consultation to ceremony, Kirsten listens closely to everything you say, makes suggestions when necessary and creates a floral plan that perfectly translates your personality and style into classic floral designs with a flair.   We will meet with the bride as many times as needed to get it just right, and offer sample viewings so brides have visual, tactile and thematic confidence in the flowers she has chosen.  The continued  communication between Kirsten and the bride ensures that The Lily Pad delivers perfectly tailored floral designs, and no surprises.  Your wedding is as important to us as it is to you, and you can be confident that our attention to detail will result in a "uniquely yours" event that represents the bride and groom’s  wedding dreams.  Whether traditional, structured designs, contemporary with a flair, or exotic, tropical bursts of color, we will make every bride a princess with fairy tale flowers.

Florist Details

What (if any) special decorative items do you offer? Wrought iron arch, candelabras, all large glass vases (up to 30") strands of glass crystals, urns, aisle runners. We also provide additional rental items from preferred third party rental store for your convenience.

What (if any) non-floral additions to floral arrangements do you offer? any sparkle or accents desired. feather, crystals, brooches, rhinestones, pearls

Do you offer full-services, such as wedding day set-up, for an additional fee? We deliver and set up for a fee, and retrieve rental items for free.

If you have not worked at the ceremony and/or reception sites previously, would you be willing to visit the sites before the event? We do on-site consultations and sample viewings of floral designs to ensure that we precisely see the bride's vision.

Do you offer bouquet/flower preservation services? No

Do you offer any other specializations that have not been covered? We decorate bridal suites and homes for after-wedding romantic ambiance upon request

The Little Things

*  To extend your budget, use all ceremony flowers at the reception.  Altar arrangements can flank a sweetheart table, pew bows and flowers can line the cake table, and bride’s maids bouquets can adorn guest book, food tables and  bar.  Ushers are great "stagehands" while the bridal party takes pictures.

*  Make sure you confirm number of centerpieces needed.  Many times when all the RSVPs are in, a table or two may be added.  While you remember to add the tables and linens, don’t forget to relay those changes to the florist or you may have empty tables.

*  Give your florist the names of the bridal party  and family so bouquets and boutonnieres are easily distributed by wedding coordinator or venue manager.

*  For outdoor weddings, ALWAYS have a plan B and communicate that to vendors.

*  Know where you would like your flowers to go after the event.  When renting vases, flowers leave without containers.  If requested, we will provide disposable but tasteful containers to transport after-wedding flowers.

*  If you intend to preserve your bouquet, place bouquet in water right after ceremony.  If choosing a florist other then The Lily Pad, request an additional, smaller bouquet specifically for tossing at the reception so your bridal stays pristine.
