Our wedding on 7/11 was held in this beautiful haven of ivy. The venue is situated in the heart of River North, with many hotels and stores around. It’s in proximity to the Grand red line and many forms of transportation. Our guests came from all over and they loved the accessibility. While it’s in the middle of noisy Chicago, when you’re in the venue, you can’t hear the external city sounds.

The venue has three separate areas for your guests to mingle and a wonderful bridal suite if you need a respite once in a while, like me and my husband did.

We had a wonderful ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dance party that ran super smooth all thanks and credit due to Pam, the chef’s creative and delicious creations, and the lovely and friendly staff! I appreciated their support and approach so much. I really felt like they were there alongside us the whole time and were timely with communication and planning. Even so gracious as to accommodate some urgent last minute changes. We couldn’t have had it so well without the venue’s dedicated input.

We are eternally grateful for the memories we were able to make here and for the opportunity to commemorate our life-long commitment in such a lovely green oasis in the city of Chicago. It’s worth every penny and take it from me, you won’t regret it. The Ivy Room will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Wow - where do I start? From the gorgeous courtyard & delicious food (& cocktails!) to the impeccable service and seamless coordination (Natalie is amazing), I cannot recommend the Ivy Room enough!

We held our wedding reception at the Ivy Room in July 2023 and it was one of the best decisions we made! Natalie was so wonderful to work with and made the entire process stress-free! We felt so well taken care of and not a single detail went overlooked. 10/10 recommend!

When my husband and I toured wedding venues in Chicago, we immediately fell in love with this one. It is smack dab in the middle of downtown Chicago, which was great since we had so many out of town guests excited to tour the city. My wedding was in May and the outdoor courtyard was absolutely GORGEOUS. The wall of ivy had bloomed and made the ceremony space feel very intimate and romantic. We were able to do the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors and the reception indoors. Both spaces looked classy, but still warm. This venue comes with its own caterer that you must use. No worries though, their food is AMAZING. I will say the pricing for this venue is higher than many others in Chicago, but it comes inclusive of many items that you'd usually have to hire separate vendors for or create yourself (tables, chairs, linens, personalized menus, uplighting, etc.). Pamela was the Ivy Room coordinator we worked with and she was very responsive and accommodating to questions and requests that we have. Overall, we loved the way our wedding turned out and would highly recommend this venue.

We booked Ivy Room for our July wedding because it is stunningly beautiful and we knew the food would be great through Lettuce Entertain You (it was). What really ended up making it stand out, though, was the level of professionalism from top to bottom and the attention to detail for each moment of our reception. Abby was a joy to work with and was accommodating of every decision and last minute change that we wanted. The wait staff were awesome and attentive. We even got multiple compliments on the bartenders, which we didn’t know was a thing people complimented. And a special shout-out to the maitre d’ Giuseppe who was magically always there with whatever we needed as if he could read our minds. We would recommend Ivy Room to any couple looking for a perfect spot for downtown Chicago wedding.

The Ivy Room is an amazing wedding venue! We had Leslie and Kiran as our day of coordinators and they were a dream to work with. Ivy Room makes the process so easy and responds promptly. We booked the venue right before COVID shut down and have dealt with the COVID regulations. Ivy Room was so transparent and willing to work with us due to COVID rules ever changing. They work with all your vendors to coordinate day of, they help with day of timelines, and think of all the small details and questions so there is not a thing to worry about day of! We were blown away by our wedding. We had our ceremony and cocktail outside which were unforgettable and the reception inside the ballroom. It was perfection. The staff is so professional and willing to help. The food (and food tasting) are divine and beyond delicious. We received so many compliments about the venue and how it was a flawless day. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the Ivy Room and our experience. Highly recommend this venue!

We are so grateful that we chose to have our wedding at the Ivy Room! The team truly went above and beyond to make the day special and stress-free for us. From the food to decor to the coordination amongst vendors, Natalie (our day of coordinator), Kiran, and the whole team made our day a perfect one. We initially chose the Ivy Room with a vision for an outdoor ceremony looking at the big ivy wall, and when it became clear that rain would make that impossible, we were initially very disappointed. But Natalie and the team transformed the indoor space, threw open the wall of doors to the courtyard, and made the venue a magical space for the evening. The way the space came together was better than we had ever imagined. And we still snuck outside for photos and a sparkler exit too.

HUMANS GETTING MARRIED! If you are looking for a STUNNING venue, INCREDIBLE food, and the best damn wedding coordinator known to man, stop looking - you will find all of these things with The Ivy Room. The venue is gorgeous on its own, so anything you add on to it will just enhance the natural beauty this place offers - we had both our ceremony and reception here. The courtyard is beautiful, there are a ton of hotels close by, and there is a lot of flexibility when it comes to weather - it rained on our wedding day, we were intended to have the cocktail hour outside, but there is a full bar and cocktail area downstairs that works perfectly! And THE FOOD!!! The Ivy Room caters in-house, and it is incredible - all of our guests LOVED the meal!! Every single person that helped serve our guests during our wedding was extremely friendly, professional, and uplifting, from the bartenders to the kitchen to the servers. Most importantly, you need a day-of coordinator, and Leslie knocked this out of the park. My husband and I raved to everyone we knew about how incredible Leslie was, and when they met her everyone agreed. She was kind, EXTREMELY on top of her sh*t, and ensured the entire wedding ran smoothly - which it did. The entire day was quite literally perfect, and I attest so much of that to Leslie. She was so helpful with the planning beforehand, met with us multiple times, and filled in all the holes that we didn't even know existed.On top of that, she is a lovely woman and SO easy to work with, we were always laughing and felt like we had known her forever. Brides and Grooms, this venue takes the cake when it comes to the best of the best and it is worth every single penny. Thank you dearly to The Ivy Room and to Leslie for the best day of our lives. We cannot rave about you guys enough.

I had my wedding there this month and everything was AMAZING. For Chicago prices, this was extremely reasonable for our 110 person wedding. I can’t think of one thing where we asked if this was possible and that we were told “no.” No hidden charges, no surprises day of- and Leslie who was our coordinator was a DREAM. Great communication, flexible with our tastings and venue visits since we were out of town, and really made everything unforgettable. Great venue with a lot of flexibility to make sure you can have the wedding of your dreams.

We visited over 20 venues around the Chicagoland area and I immediately knew I wanted to get married at the Ivy Room. The understated elegance is what makes the venue so breathtaking. It was the perfect size for our 130 person wedding. We were lucky enough to have good weather for an outdoor wedding in the courtyard - the ivy wall is a simply stunning photo backdrop for a ceremony. Most importantly, the staff at the Ivy Room are spectacular. We worked with Leslie, who was always extremely professional, organized and knowledgable about any questions we had. I felt confident in her day-of, even when it looked like it was about to rain (it didn't!) she never lost her composure. The reception staff and team are great too - service during dinner was very quick and the wait staff were impressive. Overall, we are so glad we chose to get married here - it was perfect!

The gorgeous venue speaks for itself with its soaring high ceilings, beautiful wood floor, lush ivy courtyard, and recessed lighting. It is a perfect blank slate to create your dream wedding. You can easily find pictures of it online, but it’s even more beautiful in person. The Ivy Room is a peaceful green oasis in the middle of the hectic city with perfect indoor and outdoor space.

However, it was the Abby Carson at the Ivy Room that was the angel that our wedding planning process needed. She was so patient with us throughout multiple venue tours, table and seating arrangements, and throughout our entire planning process. There was never more than a day that went by without her prompt response to our questions. She was always attentive to our needs, responsive to our questions, had an amazing calming presence, coordinated all the vendors perfectly, and even helped me adjust my veil before I walked down the aisle.

On the day of the wedding we found the staff was as impeccable as our experience with Abby, from the servers to the security guard. The wedding ran just as we planned, with Abby keeping everything on track and allowing us to finally relax for the first time in months and enjoy our wedding. The food was absolutely delicious, with guests telling us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! So much credit goes to Abby and the Ivy Room staff for making our wedding the most incredible experience.
