I have peers who would take my work and give the same offer if something happened to make it impossible.

Nikon digital gear. Studio lighting if need be.

Tips and Advice
Show up on time and be ready to start shooting at the time you agreed on when booking your day. Sometimes I have arrived and the bride isn’t anywhere near ready and because of that the men havent botherd to get dressed either. Photography can start with the men if the hold up is due to the makeup artist and stylists.

I recommend wearing flash eyelashes so your eyes stand out. And not so much sparkle on the skin as it can reflect light and look like white specks on the face and shoulders or resemble the look of sweat. The fine dust look ok but glitter is overkill.

Have food and drink in the rooms where the bridal party gets ready since the prep time and photography portion takes a few hours. This way you avoid feeling faint and getting head aches.

Have a non~wedding party friend cater to your needs for personal errands. I’ve seen one bride flying about with her dress floating all over which looked pretty neat but for the guest of honor, she was way too busy with the little things other people should have been taking care of.

Have a back up pair of more comfortable shoes once your pretty heels start to stress your feet.

Don’t do any waxing just before the big day. I had one bride call to tell me why she hadn’t arrived yet....the makeup artist waxed her brow and completely took off one eyebrow. I suggested penciling it in and you could not tell in the photos. But the stress of last minute beauty tricks isn’t always the best thing to do. Like new creams that end up causing  rashes etc.

Don’t drink too much the night before. Or the day of for that matter. I shot one wedding that had an open bar during the prewedding photography. One of the groomsmen was teetering back and forth and had blood shot eyes. One glass of wine or chanpagne can calm the nerves though.

Watch out for family conflicts, avoid by proper planning and respect to all ahead of time.

You are the bride therefore you should decide and make the final decisions that please you in everything. So be assertive and don’t let others talk or guilt you in to making their fantasies come true in your wedding, because this one day absolutely belongs to you my dear.
