Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I will provide you with traditional colored photos, as well as some black and white and sepia.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I can work with any lighting situation. I have my own lights and flash if the situation requires them.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I work with a professional digital SLR camera.
How many photographers do you work with?
I am the main photographer, and for an extra fee we can also get a second shooter.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I will be at the event for as long as we contract for. There is a small fee if you would like to have me stay for additional time.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I never book more than one wedding in a day. My focus is your wedding alone on your day.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I use a Nikon D700 and have the D200 as backup. I have an external flash, reflectors, and a lighting kit. The equipment used depends on the location and time.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
If the wedding carries on beyond our contracted time. I can stay for an extra $75/hr. for up to 3 hours.
Do you charge for travel?
I work within 100 miles of Los Angeles and Seattle for no additional travel fees. Please request a personal quote if outside that range.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
The proofs will start to come up within a couple weeks of the wedding and should be finished within 8 weeks of the wedding.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
All proofs will be provided in a password protected gallery on my website.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proofs will be up for 6 months. In that time you can choose the photos you want in your print package, and you (and friends and family who have the password) can choose to also order individual prints.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Rights to the photos are shared. I will use the photos in my own advertising; however, you have printing rights to all photos received on disk.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I do reserve the right to publish the photos as I see fit.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
You will receive the digital photos on a disk if that is part of the package you choose.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Images will be available for viewing in your private, password protected, gallery.
