WEDDING TIP#26....WEDDING TIP #26: How Can I let My Guest Aware that Children Are Not Invited to My Wedding?

First rule of thumb, DO NOT writes on your invitations "no children" or "adult reception only". State on your invitation envelopes that names of those persons that you want invited, example: " Mr. & Mrs. James Smith" or Ms. Sandy Smith"; this indicates that the only names on the envelopes are the only persons invited. Secondly, ask persons that are close to you to spread the word that children are not allowed to your wedding, and they should be the grapevine to getting this information out to your guest. Third, if someone returns their response card indicating they are bringing their children, you or your wedding planner can graciously call them to let them aware that regretfully children are not invited. Fourth, despite you have taken all these measures and someone misses the message and shows up at your wedding with their children, the etiquette thing to do is NOT to turn them away but to accept and accommodate them and continue to celebrate your day.




WEDDING TIP#25...How can I make sure my Photograher captures the right portraits shots directly after the ceremony?

Two weeks before Wedding Day, provide your photographer with a list of desired photographic shots with the names of the persons that will be included in your portrait photographs. Provide this designated list to your photographer and wedding consultant or designated coordinator for the day. This list will not only make sure that you receive all your portrait shots that are taken immediately after the wedding ceremony, but will also make this process run efficiently and effectively due to the fact that you will be on a time schedule before heading to your reception to greet your guests. Typical portrait combinations are: Bride and Groom; Entire Wedding Party; Bride and her Mother; Bride and her Father; Groom and Both Parents; Bride, Groom, and Family Members, etc.
