Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
While we prefer to keep things simple & timeless, we do offer special effects or manipulation upon request. Black & White, Sepia, desaturated or selective color images are also provided.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We have experience in a wide variety of lighting conditions, both indoor & outdoor.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We shoot exclusively Digital SLR for it's high quality, speed, sharpness & flexibility to provide a wide range of products.
How many photographers do you work with?
Nikkipod is made up of 2 photographers: myself, Nicole Sevcik, & my husband, Luke Sevcik. Additional photographers are associated with us & can be used upon the request or necessity of an additional photographer.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes. If we sign your contract, we will be at your event. You will not receive a different photographer unless requested or notified ahead of time, and then only with your approval.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We may book more than one wedding per weekend, but never more than one in a day.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, we always carry more than enough equipment to each event. It's better to be safe than sorry!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Packages range from a half to full day, or you can hire us by the hour for events under 5 hours.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Overtime can be custom fit into your total hourly package to provide you with the best rate. Contact us for more information on rates.
Do you charge for travel?
A small fee is charged. Packages include a mileage credit up to 30 miles round trip from zip code 60123. If special method for travel or parking fees are required, it will be included in the "travel fee" portion on your invoice, generally before the event if possible.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Currently proofs are available online within 3 - 5 weeks after the event, depending on the length of the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The proofs will be posted online or can be purchase with copyright in jpeg format on a DVD. A 4x6 proof album can be purchased to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, however you may purchase the proofs on DVD which includes the right to use & print the photos (copyright release).
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, with permission by model release.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. Print ordering is also available in the online gallery.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer both traditional 4x6 proof albums & custom coffee table style printed books.
When will the client get the final album?
The completion time for final books & albums will depend on what is chosen, how many pages or images it contains, whether it is custom designed & when the book or album order is placed with us.
