I cannot say enough good things about John and his photography. I see other photos/photographers and while they’re great, they’re just not John Foley great. Book him. Stop reading these reviews, do yourself a favor, and book him. (Seriously, he’s a hot commodity and has a ton of awards for good reason!) I look at our pictures all of the time and he did an incredible job. I feel like I’m reliving the day when I look at them. I am so impressed with his work. You can tell this is more than a career for him, it’s truly his passion (which is the exact type of person you want documenting your day). He gets the shot and he gets it GOOD. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!! We hired John about a month and a half prior to our intimate wedding ceremony. Thankfully he was able to accommodate us! His knowledge and attention to detail was beyond what we expected. From the different areas on our venue to including different depths, angles, and lighting - he was amazing! Touching base on sunset, he was a pro at knowing what time sunset hour and how much time we needed to shoot. He asked us what our vision was and after seeing his portfolio, we told him to let his imagination run wild. He did not disappoint. We literally want to print every single photo! He was so personable throughout the process as well, he made it easy in the midst of chaos. Thank you!!!!

John was an amazing photographer! He was always communicating with us before and during the wedding. He was always available to talk which for a nervous bride helped a lot. During the wedding, he was very professional. He made sure we got the shots we wanted but respected our parents when they asked for extra shots. He came up with shots we never thought of that turned out to be our favorites! Hire John for all your special functions! I know we will be reaching out again to him.

His pictures are well above and beyond what you will get from a typical photographer in terms of quality. His work also especially stands out when it comes to artistry and creativity. John was extremely helpful and communicative with us prior to the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, he had a super cool vibe that everyone enjoyed. John’s presence really added to our day, and he was so helpful in making our day run smoothly. We received several compliments during our wedding from guests saying “your photographer is so great!” We really appreciated how John used his imagination to capture super cool and unique photos of us in Chicago. John clearly loves what he does and can be totally trusted to work his magic. We are blown away by the sneak peek photos we have seen so far! Our friends and family are amazed by them too- their jaws literally dropped! These are the kind of photos that you are very proud to put on your wall. We are so excited to see the rest. Now that our wedding day is sadly over, it’s comforting to know that we have so many amazing images of our special day to enjoy, not only for our lifetime but also for generations to come! We are really happy with the relationship John built with us throughout our wedding planning. From the beginning he was transparent about his services and kept in touch throughout the year leading up to the day. He even sent us advice and tips on how to enjoy our day which meant a lot. The day-of he was very professional and I felt at ease because I could tell he was capturing all the important moments. But that is an under statement because he captured way more than I could have imagined. Every single shot is beautiful. There are even some artistic shots that we love. The turn around time for the pictures was also quick. Thank you for giving us memories that we will cherish forever!

John is one of the most talent photographers I know. He truly captures the moment to make it a memory you will never forget. John’s professionalism is top notch and he's super laid back and easy to work with. He laid out an itinerary for us and we were able to adjust for more or less time if we wanted, he helped make the day go perfect and stay on schedule. John was great! He captured our wedding day so perfectly and made us feel so calm and at ease throughout the process. The photos were absolutely wonderful and he was able to capture the genuine love my husband and I felt for each other. We also used John to do our wedding highlight real, and I can't recommend it enough! It was the perfect length and something we will watch for years to come. John was with us very early in our planning. He was a joy to work with and his transparency and flexibility meant that we had less to worry about. In the very beginning, we outlined a schedule which John gave us feedback on, and we modified it to allow for extra time during Details & Getting Ready, as well as Bride & Groom Portraits. We HIGHLY recommend slating enough time with John throughout your wedding day for Bride & Groom Portraits. The day goes by in a blur, but we're so happy that we took the time away from all our guests to do some shots with just the two of us.

John was friendly, punctual, and professional. We received our edited photos much quicker than anticipated (~5-6 weeks), considering we had a 2-day wedding. Our family and friends loved going through the photo gallery, and many have expressed wanting to book him for family photos and future weddings. We can't recommend him enough!
