Award Winning Beauty Cast Bridal make up techniques on DVD

Sweet Moments Cakery

About
Forever & After Photography provides a mix of photojournalistic, artistic, and
traditional photography. By blending these styles, I can capture your particular
personalities and individuality. I approach each wedding differently. That's
because each wedding couple- and therefore their weddings- are different. It's
your day and it should be photographed the way you want it to be. A wedding is
such a well planned and momentous event and most brides would have spent
months dreaming of how wonderfully she would like the day to turn out.

I absolutely love weddings. I love the hectic pace, the rushing pulse that runs
underneath all of the activity, and the cherished moments that make each and
every wedding distinctive and special. My patient, professional manner is a
perfect complement to the fast-paced tempo that typically accompanies
weddings. I want to spend your day capturing each and every detail so that you
can look back and remember your special event as a wonderful, joyous
celebration through my pictures. I photograph all of the traditional events- as
well as those unexpected moments that make your wedding unique. Your
wedding day is supposed to be fun, and you need a photographer who
recognizes that. My job is not just to take pictures, but to do whatever I can to
lower your stress levels. Remember that you will be spending much of your
special day with your photographer, and you, your parents, your extended
family and your friends will be investing time with that photographer during
your wedding. Don't waste time on your wedding day with a photographer who
won't produce results you love. But you don’t want your photographer to take
over the day either. I allow both you and your guests to have a good time while
gently interacting for portraits and candids. I want you to enjoy your special
day and be the prince and princess that you deserve to be!

All packages include up to 8 hours of photography, all of your fully-edited
images in high resolution saved on CD, and password-protection on my Web
site for online viewing and ordering for family and friends. Your wedding CD is
the equivalent of owning the “digital negatives” of your photos, and allows you
to make prints and enlargements either at home or at a professional photo lab.
The CD also gives you the ability to send your photos to friends and family via
E-mail.

A moment lasts eternally through photography, captured in only an instant.
Photographs -and possibly videos- will be your only permanent records of the
day. I am the photographer that can capture your moments- Forever & After-
for you.

Forever & After Photography is amazing! Alecia is an artist, pure and simple. She has an eye for detail, and makes you feel so comfortable. She photographed my recent wedding and I couldn't be happier! There were many times through out the day that I didn't even notice she was there, she was that unobtrusive. She takes a TON of pictures! You will have so many pictures it'll feel almost impossible to choose just a few for albums. Alecia is incredibly professional and most of all, she's fun! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants timeless photographs to cherish for many years to come!

Tips and Advice
PERSONAL ASSISTANT
~Pick a Personal Assistant. This person’s allegiance is to you, not your photographer. Their sole duty this day is to make life easier for you. Choose someone that is assertive and who knows your friends and family. Let your Personal Assistant stress about getting everyone together. Your Personal Assistant can also stand by to help with hair and dress adjustments in between pictures! You can also designate your Personal Assistant to bring along an emergency kit- with a comb, hairpins, lip-gloss, etc.!

SHOES
~Truly, if your dress is floor-length, your shoes are not going to show up in your pictures! Why not opt for some really comfy shoes instead of your heels during pictures? You will be standing for several hours during Group Portraits, and then you still have to walk up the aisle without limping! Also, be sure to break your shoes in before your wedding! To keep them clean, you can wear them around the house.

HAIR HOW-TO’S
~Practice your planned hairstyle ahead of time. Remember that while you are exchanging vows your guests may be watching the back of your head, so look at your hairstyle -and maybe even take pictures- from several different angles.

MAKEUP MAGIC
~Consider hiring a professional to do your makeup. He or she will know all about camera angles and lighting, and is trained to know how to accentuate your best features. If you choose to do your own makeup, remember that more is not better. Don’t try anything new or extravagant; you want to look natural for your wedding pictures. No matter which way you choose to go, always do a test run before the big day!

PROVIDE A SCHEDULE
~Providing your photographer with a schedule of your big day’s events will allow him or her to be ready to get that great shot of the garter or bouquet toss, or the best angle of the cake cutting.

BEFORE OR AFTER?
One of the big dilemmas with Wedding Photography: Group pictures before or after the ceremony? Here are a few things to consider:
~It is a very special moment when the groom sees the bride for the very first time in all of her wedding finery. When you appear at the end of the aisle, all cameras will be pointed you way. Wouldn’t it be great to plan the moment out and get a candid shot of the expression on his face when he first sees you?
~In the beginning of your day, you will be at your freshest, most put-together. This is the best time to do Group Portraits, before your flowers start wilting- and you start wilting too! Your smile will still be fresh and your makeup won’t be smeared from the inevitable tears that always accompany a wedding.
~There is a lot going on between the ceremony and the reception. Squeezing pictures in the middle may force your photographer to hurry, which often results in missed shots and bored guests! Ideally, Group Portraits should take between two and three hours. It really is impossible to fit several hours between the ceremony and the reception, especially if these events take place at different locations. People wander off, little ones get tired and want to go play, and all you want to do is spend some time with your new spouse and your guests. Spend this time the best way possible- and don’t try to cram pictures in as well!

BE READY!
~Remember to remind your entire wedding party and family to be ready for pictures on time. Make sure they know when and where to be. You know your friends and family; some people need to be told to show up 15 or 30 min early to guarantee they show up on time. Inevitably, someone is going to be running late. This is another good reason to give everyone plenty of time to do Group Portraits. Take advantage of any rehearsals to remind everyone what time they are expected to arrive.

PRACTICE SMILING
~Practice smiling. This may seem silly, but you will be doing a lot of smiling on your wedding day, for both me and for your guests, and your cheek and jaw muscles will get tired. In the weeks before the wedding take a few minutes each day to give your face, jaw, and neck muscles a good stretch, and maybe even do a set or two of ten big smiles.
~Practice smiling in the mirror. Natural smiles are the best, but sometimes you’ll need to smile on demand, and getting a good smile-on-demand is a practiced skill. Big toothy smiles tend to make the eyes smaller, and may emphasize wrinkles under the eyes. A nice casual smile that just turns up the corners of the mouth is usually the most flattering smile. Of course, not every photo needs a smile…

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
~Staying hydrated will improve skin and eye appearance, so be sure to drink plenty of water.
~Get plenty of sleep the week before. It really will show in your photographs if you are exhausted.
~Schedule bachelor and bachelorette parties a week before the wedding. You won’t look your best if you are hung-over. Don’t party the night before the wedding.

PRIOR TO THE BIG DAY
~Make sure that your wedding clothes fit. It’s usually too late to have your outfits adjusted on the wedding day. Not to mention the fact that seeing yourself in your complete wedding finery will give a boost to your morale.
~Make sure the flowers will arrive in time for the photographs.
~Get as much as possible done before the wedding day. The day of the wedding will be busy. Often when things start running behind, it is the photography schedule that gets cut. The job can get done if I am under a shorter time limit, but the difference between nice wedding photos and great wedding photos is time.
~Contact your photographer via E-mail or phone if there have been any last minute changes in your schedule, or if anything has occurred that would affect the wedding photography, including last-minute additions of special guests.
~Create a wedding day make-up bag two weeks before the wedding. Do a complete test of your wedding-day look (make-up, hairdo and shoes), for as long as you expect to have it together that day, so you’ll know if it will "go the distance."

ON THE BIG DAY:
~Ask your guests to refrain from taking pictures during the Group Portrait session. Additional photographers are distracting to the subjects. If we are going to keep on schedule, and get great photos, I will need everyone’s complete attention. Let your guests know that you can provide them with a copy of the CD with all the photos I’m taking.
~When you stretch your chin upwards in an attempt to make your neck look nicer, you often end up emphasizing your chin and reducing the size of your eyes in photographs. Instead, try leaning slightly forward at the waist and stretching the neck so that the eyes and chin remain the same distance from the camera.
~Try not to stress. I know, easier said than done. Everything might not go as you had planned, but it’s usually too late to be worrying about it once the wedding has started. This day is meant to be a gathering of your family and friends to celebrate your commitment to each other and your new life together. The little problems or mishaps aren’t very important in the big picture. Have a good time. If you worry, you may start to scowl, and that doesn’t make for good photographs!
~The best tip to looking amazing in your wedding photos? Have more fun than everyone else at the wedding.
