Describe your DJ style:
Unobtrusive, energetic, and dedicated to representing my clients' personalities and vision.

What is your usual attire?
Tuxedo

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
During our numerous planning sessions, the actual music for ceremonies/receptions will be outlined. I will do my absolute best in playing every one of the bride and groom's requests. The special songs are always a priority, and will be played.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
My service price is a flat rate based on time committed to your event. Most weddings are provided at least 4 hours of performance, which is 16-30 hours of work for me.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
I meet with all potential clients upon request prior to booking. After booking the event, I meet with clients as many times as necessary for the bride to feel comfortable with the reception plans.

Do you bring your own equipment?
I use equipment from professional sources such as Numark, JBL, and Apple. Remember that professional gear does not guarantee an entertainer's talent or service level, but is simply a tool for building an exceptional event.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I will arrive 1 1/2-2 hours prior to the event. I do ask for a skirted table of 6 ft.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
Nope

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I am an MC for every reception. I act according to the personalities of the bride and groom. I represent their vision, and will not be "the show."

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I choose not to eat at functions. I am there to work for my clients.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I have multiple connections around the area including contacts through the American Disc Jockey Association. My promise is to never leave my clients without a DJ. I provide a money-back guarantee written within the contract.

What is your overtime rate?
Don't have one. I charge a flat rate based upon the event.

Have you commited yourself to follow the ADJA Code of Professional Conduct?
Eric Herod Entertainment is built around upholding the highest code of professional standards. I take this business of being a Professional Disc Jockey Serivice seriously.

Are you insured? Can you supply me with proof of liability?
Many responsible business owners carry liability insurance to protect their businesses and the consumer, and Erock Entertainment is one of them. I do carry a Certificate of Liability, and can provide proof to venues prior to the event.

Does the Disc Jockey know the proper etiquette for your type of party?
A professional Disc Jockey will assist you with the planning of your special day. Most professional entertainers will coordinate, emcee and provide the music that you desire. I only book events that I feel comfortable to perform. I prepare for each event thoroughly from experience, training, and personal event consultations with our clients.

Do you belong to a professional organization or trade group?

Eric Herod Entertainment is a member of the American Disc Jockey Association and the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. I am dedicated in networking with other professionals, learning and growing through local chapter meetings, national DJ conventions and seminars geared toward the entertainment professional and small business owners.
