I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. But now I understand people do not expect all of their guests to show up, which is also tacky. We currently have 2 tacky invitations for 2 weddings this summer. I’m wondering if we...

I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. But now I understand people do not expect all of their guests to show up, which is also tacky.

We currently have 2 tacky invitations for 2 weddings this summer. I’m wondering if we are among those tacky guests who should decline but to the couple’s tacky surprise, we accept? Before you say anything negative, I understand it’s tacky we haven’t RSVPed before we received the invitations.

Is it tacky if I call the couples and ask them if that really want us to show up? Or should we decline and just send them a tacky gift?

Please help, but don’t comment if you’re going to say something tacky. Thanks!

    Watch the CAPS. If you use CAPS a bit TOO much, you risk being TACKY. And if you do it in ONE long paragraph, it's even TACKIER. Now I will keep TYPING and capitalizing RANDOM words to maximize the tackiness FACTOR. Because this here is 'Merica and I can DO WHAT I WANT. Words words words WORDS words. Words words. This is not yet LONG enough. Tee hee, I'm immature and said LONG enough. Tee hee tee hee.

    What you didn't mean for this to be serious!!!! All my hard work was for nothing that is just so so so beyond tacky, I am gonna go cry and eat chocolate and drink wine now and then I will get too fat to fit into my dress and I will look so tacky at my wedding.

    Is it tacky to say you said tacky 7 times? :-) I'd just decline tho if you won't feel welcomed by going. Question, should you feel obligated to send a gift if you don't feel like you are wanted there anyway?

    OMG OMG OMG I am so excited. I would like to thank all of the little people that made this possible. All of the tacky anonymous posters, all of the trolls those that were amusing and those that were not. I would like to thank all of you for showing me how to be as tacky as possible.

    Now I need to plan my super tackirrific party.
