I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. But now I understand people do not expect all of their guests to show up, which is also tacky.

We currently have 2 tacky invitations for 2 weddings this summer. I’m wondering if we are among those tacky guests who should decline but to the couple’s tacky surprise, we accept? Before you say anything negative, I understand it’s tacky we haven’t RSVPed before we received the invitations.

Is it tacky if I call the couples and ask them if that really want us to show up? Or should we decline and just send them a tacky gift?

Please help, but don’t comment if you’re going to say something tacky. Thanks!

For your gift you should do interpretive belly dance to a master mix of Im to sexy, I touch myself and Im sexy and I know it.

Will there be a Tupperware container at this tacky wedding for a card box?

And a blue rain tarp to keep the weather elements out?

Did they ask you to bring your own food because only the wedding party and parents will be eating?

Did you read about that one? Someone sent out an invite and the guests will need to dance or stand around twiddling their thumbs while the parents and the wedding party eats. They didn't have enough money to feed everyone!

Just want to make sure these wedding you plan to go to fill the shoes of the TACKIEST wedding we all witness last year(?)

    YAY HAYLEY IS HEEEREEEE!

Hayley, I decided to win some WW award. So why not the tackiest wedding anyone has ever attended?

I like the interpretive belly dancing WHILE watching other people eat. How's that?

I read it someplace.... I'm trying to find it.

Yes, they invited too many people and only the parents will have a sit down dinner.

Everyone else needs to watch... I'm trying to find it.

    Here is the details....

"My cousin (the same one who rsvped yes to our wedding and then didn't show up cause I told her she couldn't bring 4 friends...) is getting married this summer. They plan on inviting everyone to the ceremony and a dance reception. Here's the kicker, during the dance reception IN THE SAME ROOM there will be a table for her and his familes (grandparents, parents and siblings and bridal party) where they will be served dinner as they "watch everyone have fun dancing". Ok ready...set...go!"

"Her mom said they can't afford to feed every one, but she said they are still looking at about 130 guests. "

I remember the tupperware and blue tarp -- that same one also had people standing around? I must not have read that one that closely...

    See, that's not tacky.

    That's just priceless.

ETA: Yes Juliette, I'll make sure to add that. Blue tarp was also just fabulous.

This *almost* makes me wish I knew someone this tacky. I've never seen anything come CLOSE to what I've seen on these boards. I would love to witness it myself.

Kinda reminds me of a t-shirt FH used to have:

It's all funny til someone gets hurt, then it's HILARIOUS
