Is this tacky?

I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. But now I understand people do not expect all of their guests to show up, which is also tacky.

We currently have 2 tacky invitations for 2 weddings this summer. I’m wondering if we are among those tacky guests who should decline but to the couple’s tacky surprise, we accept? Before you say anything negative, I understand it’s tacky we haven’t RSVPed before we received the invitations.

Is it tacky if I call the couples and ask them if that really want us to show up? Or should we decline and just send them a tacky gift?

Please help, but don’t comment if you’re going to say something tacky. Thanks!

    Speaking of Pennies!!!!......

    my grandma has always been young at heart and a Big flirt.

    She was at the local YMCA and she had made a friend there while in the pool. She was doing water aerobics and he was swimming laps. And I think he was 30 something to her 70 (but she looked and acted like 50). She also is a HUGE football fan. Well, she made a bet with him over the super bowl or something. Thing is, she only bets a dollar. Well, she lost. She went to the Y the next day and the guy says "Where is my money? You lost the bet" Well, she taped 100 pennies to a long piece of tape, grabbed his swim trunks and tossed the pennies down them.

    Hahahahahaha!

    Maybe I'll do a dollar like in Trading Places. Along with a registry card and IOU :-)

    @Angela, I'm good, and I CAN DO IT!

    Hahaha Hayley, now I know we have the same family.

    I think you should pull your dollar for the dollar dance out of your thongs, or better yet tell the groom to go in for his money.

    I think I'll take the dress Hayley suggested, and cut that tulle part out. Do you think it'll hold up? In fact, it doesn't matter.

    @RayRay, I noticed :-)

    Why am I always late to the parties :,(

    Mrs. S I hope you saved me some cake. Would it be tacky if I took it home instead? The venue has to go trays right? Better yet I'll wrap it with the cloth and sneak it out...Noone will ever notice....

    I love this post and must do a spinoff. Lol

    Well All Smiles, y'all need to make a decision. I can't be taking centerpieces AND cake at the same time. It's one or the other. Which one is tackier?

    @Tiedaknot, nobody understands my personal style like you do :-)
