Wedding details
Twice Shy Until Once Poked In 2011 Matt moved to Arizona for a job with American Express. When he got there he didn't know a soul. Lonely as he could be, and only accompanied by his dog Arthur, Matt decided to join EHarmony. Unsure as to what the results would be, and fearful of gaining yet another stalker, Matt took the plunge. One lonely day Matt's inbox lit up like 4th of July (well honestly it looked like 4th of July because it had been empty for over a week) with a "poke" from EHarmony. When Matt clicked on the profile he was stricken by fear, but in a good way. On the other end of the poke was a stunning young woman from San Diego named Alisha. Matt immediately wrote back in the type of prose only he has been known for when he said "sup." Although at the time Alisha had an inbox full of suitors, something about Matt's profile really stuck out among the masses. She's pretty sure it was the fact that he was working out a TON at the time and was ripped to shreds. Within days Matt and Alisha had set up their first face to face meeting at a local event called Santarchy. Alisha showed up as a reindeer. It was love at first sight they just didnt know it yet. The two spent countless hours talking on the phone over the holidays and were inseperable thereafter. When Matt was offered a job near Chicago in Spring 2012 he was torn. "Would Alisha really pick up and move to Chicago with me?" After all, Alisha is quite fearful of the cold and Midwestern people have always kind of creeped her out. Nevertheless, out of love for Matt Alisha packed up her belongings and moved to Chicago on a leap of faith. After a small adjustment period Alisha came to accept the Midwest. Clearly this was all because of Matt. On December 17, 2012 Matt came home from work as usual to let out the dog. Upon his return he dropped to one knee and asked Alisha to marry him. After taking some time to think about whether this was really the right thing to do Alisha begrudgingly accepted Matt's proposal. The only thing that came to mind was "Matt can be entertaining, and I really don't have any concrete plans for the rest of my life, might as well say yes." This is our story.

2494 days agoI am trying to dress up my reception space but I am torn between which linen to use. I like the way the table over lay looks, but I think just a runner could work too. My colors are purple and burnt orange. I am trying to go with warm, romantic feel...
