We have changed our date 3 times!! First was in May of 2020 because our first date was watching Star Wars together. We changed that because we have lived long distance for most of our relationship and didn't want to wait almost 2 years. Then we changed it to August 2019 on the day we got engaged 1 year exactly after. Then the Venue we wanted wanted didn't have air conditioning in the Sanctuary and we both loved the wine color, so we decided October 12th 2019. Columbus day weekend. EXHAUSTING, but excited to have it pinned down and I feel great about it. Don't mind the rain!

I chose my date (May 23, 2020) because my fiancé recently left for a year long deployment, I wanted a month where good weather in Ohio stood a chance, and a holiday weekend would guarantee that my Fiancé and his military friends would not miss the wedding because of the Army LOL. Also it helps that it is a long weekend because 75% of the people coming are out of state Smiley smile

My wedding date was easy to choose from
October 18, 2014 was the day he told me I was his girlfriend lol. He didn't even ask he just said your my girlfriend. We were talking since October 5th. Our first actual date was October 11th. I thought October 18th would be the best day because that was the day we decided to be in a relationship. And on this day that we will be married, we are making another commitment to our realationship to be by eachothers side for a long long time. We are supper happy with our date.

We decided to have the wedding on August 30, 2020! We originally wanted to have the wedding in either September or October of that year but because we're having it in my hometown of Myrtle Beach there was the risk of hurricane season and we're having it on the beach as well so choosing August 30th was a easy decision Smiley smile

I picked that date 02/14/2020 because that was our first date. We were best friends at first but on this day he told me he wanted me to be more than just a friend.

John and I decided on our "I do" date based on the day we started dating. He asked me to be his girlfriend on 10/10/16, then he proposed 10/10/18, and we decided to get married on 10/10/20. This keeps everything at two year intervals which makes the OCD part of me very happy haha. I have always wanted my anniversary date to be the same as when we started dating so this is beyond perfect! Smiley heart Smiley smile

Well we decided together 2019 was not going to be our year, simply because my brother will be getting married April 2019 and all the ppl in his wedding will also mostly be our crew. So i did some calendar surfing and I chose April 18. This day will now be a joyful day for my fiancee instead of sad one . Thats his mother Birthday who passed in a house fire when he was 15 yrs old....so if the Lord say the same April 18,2020 is Our Day💕😍

I've always had this fantasy of being a "June bride". I grew up watching the old MGM movies that glorified June brides. So when my fiance asked when, I picked the same day in June he asked me out, for us to get married. June 15th.

Sort of in between. The venue is the Poe Museum in Richmond so it's already got a spooky edge. And we're adding little touches like gold spiders and a casket (with skeleton) as the alcohol cooler.

Our Anniversary is April 10 and as a tradition every 10th of the month we go out on a date to just celebrate being together another month. My birthday is in October but I don’t like to celebrate my birthday... my fiancé on the other hand loves celebrating anything really. So as a compromise we decided to get married in October on the 10th. Simple math 10+10 = 20 Coincidentally, I’ve been an optician for 15 years and 20/20 means perfect vision (but we’ll change that to perfect couple). Justin Timberlake has an album The 2020 Experience the album art cover reads “JT The 2020 Experience” (JT standing for John and Tina). To top it all off in the year 2020, Oct. 10th lands on a Saturday which is the perfect party day because you’ll still have a day to recover. Although it’s two years away from now it gives us plenty of time to figure out where we want to have the wedding, all the vendor coast so we can configure our budget accordingly. Book ahead of time, hire a coordinator, just relax and wait for the day to come. We put a lot of thought into this and just can’t wait for it to all unfold! Wish us luck!

I think that's the perfect day, Melisa!!! Just at the onset of hurricane season, close enough to September, and all of the families that might be at the beach will probably be gearing up for school instead! Are you having your ceremony and reception on the beach or just one?

We planned on having just the ceremony on the beach with family and friends. The reception on the other hand is a bit trickier because Myrtle Beach is a huge tourist town and some places love to charge you an arm and a leg just for a small rental space. But lucky for me I have the greatest best friend ever who's taking her role as Maid of Honor like a champ! She's helped make spreadsheets, lists, etc from the moment I got engaged and is helping me compare prices on my favorite venues and helping me narrow it down so I stay within my budget but also get what I want to have the perfect wedding I love her! We met in 12th in 2009! We figured that 2019 would be the best year for us to get married ! We were both born in ‘91 so we picked 09/01 for the wedding date ! Plus it’s Labor Day weekend which means more time to enjoy family and friends !!

That’s awesome! That’s exactly how my fiancé and I are doing it, only we have to wait until August 20th of 2022 because August 20th is the date we started dating. So we will be together exactly 11 years when we finally get married.
