We knew we wanted an October weekend wedding and that we needed time to plan because he will be graduating in May 2019 and finding a job. We also love the 20s so that's where we started. Then we saw the date 10/10/2020 and had to have it. Even when I say it now it sounds perfect. It's also on Columbus Day weekend so more family will likely be able to make it. It's a long engagement but it will be so worth the wait!

We chose Valentine's Day as our wedding date because it's the day we started dating, almost 7 years ago. The day has always had special meaning to us and we want to continue that for the rest of our lives and 2020 is next time it falls on a weekend (Friday). I also thought it would be awesome to host all of our favorite people on such a romantic day. Our wedding theme is romantic garden which is perfect for an outdoor wedding in Florida in February.

I am have my wedding ceremony leap year, February 29th 2020! So, I am actually already married. It all happened so fast because my husband is about to deploy to Afghanistan and won’t be home till October of 2019. He asked me in July and we got married in August with just us and the judge in a small office at her firm. It wasn’t very romantic to say the least and it didn’t feel real at all. Since we are already married, I picked leap year. That way we can make every leap year extra special! The day we had our wedding with all of our favorite people present!!! I’m so excited and can’t wait for this special day to come!

I had no specific date in mind. As long as we had time to save and plan and fornmy family to save for the trip(they live in the west and my fiance and I in the east). March 3rd was a date dear to his heart. It is the birthday and death anniversary of his brother in law. They were very close and he wanted to honor him and his sister in some way. We are both happy with the date 03/03/2020... Its just difficult to find a venue for a Tuesday in the off season.

The picked March 7, 2020 for the wedding date because March 7 is our anniversary and 2020 will be our 13 year anniversary. So that's the significance of our wedding date.

We wanted an outside summer wedding. Had to plan around other anniversaries and birthdays as I didn't want to share my day with anyone else.

FH proposed on our anniversary in Oct 2018. He wanted to get married in 2019, but I wanted to get married in Fall 2020. We both wanted a unique day, so I looked at a calendar and decided 10/10/2020 would be perfect since it is near our anniversary, but he still wanted to wed sooner. My aunt suggested Leap Day since that will happen in 2020. FH and I looked at the calendar and saw that it is on a Saturday. Worried about Saturday prices, we visited venues and found the perfect venue within our budget that had 2/29/20 open, so we booked it. Sure, the “So you’ll only celebrate once every 4 years?” questions will keep coming up, but we love the date and felt that it is a perfect middle point for what we wanted.

We are getting married Pi Day 2020. We are both a little nerdy so when we saw that Pi Day was on a Saturday we were set... it was either Pi Day or Leap Day, but looking at the day light savings calendar we chose to get married a few weeks later. It works out great though because we have a bigger excuse to serve pie at the wedding! We are paying for all of the wedding ourselves and on a teacher budget a longer engagement works for us. It will be an amazing day and worth the wait, I can't wait to marry my best friend!

So, I’m already married. But, we never got to have the wedding we wanted! My husband is getting deployed in a week for 10 months; So we decided to get married a couple months before hand. We chose to have it on Leap Year! That way we can make every 4 years extra special!

My fiance and I started dated 10.24.2017 and he proposed 09.26.2018. I wanted it to be the 25th so it would be 24,25,26. Then April, then it would be our wedding, his birth month, then mine.

We wanted something away from our anniversary which is February 12th. It's to close valentine day. We wanted the weather to be warm but not summer heat. So we picked September 6th 2019.

How do you feel about sharing the big day with your birthday? I’m on the fence about this.

He is all for the two for one 😁. I'm actually ok with it I dont mind I've never been big on making big deals about certain days.

I was initially Maggie, then decided I didn’t want to share my birthday with the big day. It would have been nice since it’s the last Friday in August. But now I’m back to the drawing board. Contemplating the Sunday after my birthday. This is harder then finding a dress for an analytical Virgo!🤪any suggestions are welcome.
