We know that we aren’t in a hurry to get married, and I love dates that have numbers that end up being some kind of math equation. So it started off as a joke about the date 10/10/2020. We had a play argument and I was like **** baby, you’re locked in. Then I looked and it turns out that’s a Saturday.... And that’s how we chose our date.
Now because it is so far away, we can have tiny discussions here and there about what we want without the stress of time constraint. Which is great because we want only like 30 guests and I’m finding out how hard it is to find a great venue that works with such a small guest list. Any suggestions for unconventional venues that work with nerdy themes are welcome!! Smiley smile

February is our anniversary month... and among other sentimental reasons, one of the Brides is a retired Banker who loves numbers.

My husband and I got married on a time crunch with the Army between trainings. We didnt want to get married on a holiday but thought it was close enough to New Year's to be able to say "New year, new beginnings". Totally cheesy but I'm a hopeless romantic. We got married by a JOP that was at work as an optometrist so quite literally all eyes were on us! 12/30/2010. We are planning our actually big wedding (vow renewal if you will) for our 10 year anniversary! 12/30/2020!!!

We both agreed on the year so it would give us time to save up and plan everything without being on a timeline. I picked the month because i want something that was unique and one night on his lunch break we where talking about dates he wanted a Saturday wedding. i told him all the Saturday dates. He like what about the 1st so i said it's a date

Our Anniversary is Nov 17th. Wanted this date, however, I had to book 3 years out, during to No Venues available on Nov 17 for 3 years. Believe it or not! And as it was. .... I had to ask another already booked event to reschedule theirs for Nov 16 2019 so we could have a Sat closest to our Anniversary Date. Interesting Hanh!? Central Florida apparently is a "HOT" Wedding Destination 🤫

My fiancé is TERRIBLE at remembering anniversary or any type of memorable event dates! He can only remember our anniversary because its Christmas and then he proposed to me on his brothers birthday. He always tries to plan events on dates he already remembers. When I started looking for our wedding date I tried to find a date that would be easy to remember but also not overlapping another rememberable event. We both knew that we wanted a fall wedding so that cut down a big chunk of the year. I either wanted September or October because I love both of those months! I was struggling to find a date that I knew would stick! I then looked at the numbers and 10/15/20 just stuck out at me! I am a huge math guru and the month, day, and year increase by 5's! I asked Aaron if he would be able to remember this and he loved the idea!

My brother, wife and 2 kids live in Hong Kong and come back to the States in July and the first part of August each year. It's expensive to fly 4 people half way around the world so when I got engaged I very quickly looked at 3 local venues I loved to see what dates they had available when the Hong Kong crew would be in the States. I then checked with what worked for our parents and booked a date. It was sort of chaotic as I ended up being engaged just 8 months but I didn't want to wait until the following summer. It all worked out extraordinarily well and it's totally possible to plan a very nice wedding for 185 guests in like 7 months :-)

I have a love of Halloween and all things creepy and cool, so I have wanted to get married on Halloween since I was a little girl. My FH's family is all from out of state so it needed to be a weekend, and 10/31/2020 is the next Halloween on a weekend. Almost lost the date because the venue was considering having a Halloween party, but we secured it!

We both wanted a summer wedding and I needed to be out of school so that is how we ended up with July 2020. July 17th, 2020 is because I am a huge Disney fan and that is the day that Disneyland opened. I would do the date that WDW opened but that is October 1st and we didn't want a fall wedding. But doing Disneyland seemed nice as well, because it was the park that started it all.

Y fiancé wanted a 1 year engagement but I didn’t want much more than a year so we met in the middle and our wedding will be March 30th 2020 a about a year in half after we got engaged. We also love in the pnw so we wanted to her or as close to summer as possible better luck on the weather.

We’re high school sweethearts. We got together in August 6th 2013( I was 16 and he was 17). We always talked about having our wedding around our anniversary. When he popped the question this year in July, we talked about wanting a big wedding so we gave ourselves 2 years to plan it and around our anniversary date! Also just saying the year 2020 sounds beautiful to us ! We are excited for this wedding planning journey ♥️
