I wanted February 2nd, 2020 initially because if you write it - 02/02/2020 it’s a palindrome, but FH thought it was too long a wait and didn’t want a Sunday wedding, so we started looking at dates in 2019.

My gran’s birthday was April 27th and it happens to be a Saturday in 2019, so the new date is perfect! I was really close to her and she was a huge fan of my FH and our relationship, and getting married on her birthday seems like a great way to honor her.

We wanted winter, but I’m a teacher so keeping it to my winter break made the most sense. The Saturday before Christmas or the Friday after New Years were our options. Most of the wedding party was very concerned about travel that close to Christmas so we went with Friday after New Years 1/04. It wasn’t quite what I wanted, I LOVE Christmas but it’s what was best for our guests. We realized later 104 was also the address of our first apartment together so it was still significant.

Our original wedding date was December 17, 2017. At the time we didn’t really think about what might be going on in the future and we both wanted a winter wedding (because Texas) so that was what we settled on. Within two years of that date a lot had happened such as me graduating from college and my graduation fell on December 17th, lucky for us though I knew a year ahead of time when I was graduating so we just pushed it back to December 2018. But of course as life goes more changes came and my fiancé got a new job so we pushed it back about a month so that he would have vacation time for our honeymoon. So our new wedding date is January 12th 2019, but it’s funny because we asked around to make sure no one had any anniversaries on this date and everyone swore up and down there weren’t any, come to find out my fiancé’s aunt and her husband got married on January 12th so we’re doing a tribute to them at the reception.

We are getting married a day before our 2nd dating anniversary. Although I wanted a Saturday initially, Sundays are cheaper at our venue. We got engaged on our 1 year anniversary (a Sunday) and will be going on our honeymoon on our actual anniversary.

Our Anniversary is Sept 12. The number 12 is really special to me because my son and I were both born in December and we started dating in 2012 on the 12th day of Sept. Originally I wanted to go with 09/12/2020. Which thanks to leap year falls on a Saturday. But we aren't sure we want to wait so long. Sonwe chose Sept 14th 2019. The Saturday closest to out actual Anniversary.

We went into with a very broad time frame (spring for summer 2019 - we have a ton of people flying from New England to Denver and I'm was not risking a snow). Our date was on the list our venue gave us! We started debating if July 4th weekend should be an off-limit date and instead fell in love with the idea Smiley laugh

Kind of had ours picked out before he even proposed 😂

Our anniversary is May 9th, but May 4th next year is a Saturday. He's a huge Star Wars fan and "May the Fourth" be with you was our first double date years ago when I started to feel like things were getting real. There's a few other layers to it as well.

We had originally talked about getting married this fall, but then decided that we wanted a little more time to plan and save up money. Fall is my favorite season, but I didn't want to wait all the way until next fall and spring is my second favorite season so then we just went with the date that worked best with our church.

27 is our luck number. My birthday and a couple first and anniversaries are on the 27th of different months. Then we got engaged on 12-10-17. So we looked through 2018s calendar at all the 27s on the weekends. Then 10-27 was a Saturday. Which had our lucky number as well as the number 10 for the day we got engaged!

When we decided on a DW in Colorado, we originally wanted mid September, but we pushed it to end of August to avoid pulling all the nieces and nephews from school. We had an elopement package that limited us to weekdays so we went with Monday 8/27 because we got engaged 10/27 and it was relatively easy for people to take limited vacation days if we did Monday.

I've always wanted a long engagement so I could save and get exactly what I wanted. So, that put us at 2020. Then, being a teacher, a summer month would be most preferred so I didn't have to take time off of work. I've always liked early July, but the first Saturday of July 2020 is the 4th, which wouldn't work for obvious reasons. The next weekend was the 11th, and I really liked the sound of 7/11/20. Luckily, being so far out, our venue had the day available!

I originally wanted a may wedding if we were going to be having our wedding locally, but when we decided on a DW, my fiancé requested november 7th for two reasons: one, my lucky number is 11 and his is 7, and two, our anniversary is already 11.06 so this would just move it one more day, keeping it where we’re already used to celebrating! we decided on 2020 because we both wanted a long engagement while we got our careers up and going

March was the last month of the “off season” rate. We pushed it to the last date possible (warmest) but the last weekend was already booked so we got March 20th which was spring equinox!

We got engaged in August and I wanted at least a year to plan and we both agreed on September because it’s not too cold yet. We were open to any Friday and our venue only had 2 days available so we picked 9/20/19. Can’t wait!

Originally 5/5/2019 because it was an easy date to remember and cinco de Mayo is on that day so it will feel like a party when we celebrate our anniversary every year. However, winter weddings are MUCH cheaper and one of the coordinators said 2/17/19 is a good date since the next day some jobs and schools are off for Presidents’ Day. When we thought about it, the date was perfect for many reasons.

    02+17=19

Our anniversary is 12/22, 3 days before Christmas
Wedding date 2/17, 3 days after Valentines

    Makes sense to us. Lol.
