    Depends on your family/friends.

In my circle, it wouldn't be bad.

It depends on your guests lifestyles as well as venues. Holiday weddings can mean increased prices.

I think it depends on where you live, if you live close to a college then you might want to check their graduation schedule, that is when most hold theirs. Also depends on your family and friends, if you know a lot will be able to attend then go for it.

Like others have said, depends on your circle. For me, it could be an issue depending on who it was getting married. Smiley smile Ask you VIPs first, maybe ask other friends in general conversation and go from there.

But I do think something like flowers could be an issue on that weekend, so you may want to get that handled ASAP.

I'm getting married Mother's Day weekend. I haven't run into any issues yet. I figured there would be an up charge for flowers but that wasn't the case.

I'm getting married on mother's day. And the place I was going to get bulk flowers won't do a wedding package that week because of the high demand. Flowers will skyrocket. That's about it.

Flowers may be more expensive. If you have any students or teachers in your wedding or as guests that may be a difficult time because of graduations and finals. I know after the semester it takes me a week or two still on campus wrapping stuff up for the semester Smiley tongue

Our date for example is 4 days after FH graduates. I graduate 2 weeks before, which is why we chose that date!

I think if it is out of town for many guests it's a bad idea, cause your friends will wanna see their mom's and moms will wanna see their kids. If its in town its fine

We're getting married Mother's Day weekend.. we had a lot of small florists turn us down because they just can't devote the time to a wedding with all of the Mother's Day business they have. I have heard that flowers have increased prices due to the holiday, but I felt that my florist was really reasonable! We're also getting married out of town, which may be an issue for some people.. but it's our wedding! Smiley smile I don't think it will keep too many (if any) people away!

We picked the weekend between Mother's Day and Memorial Day, we didn't want our wedding to interfere with the holidays, I know when I went to the florist they was glad we didn't do it on Mother's day and I guess the flowers would of been more pricey.. but if your family and friends know about your plans and you are okay with it then I would say go for it, just stay on top of everything including who's coming...good luck!

I think it depends on where you live, check with florists too.

I know where a lot of my friends and family live it's a bad idea since all the local universities and colleges have their graduations that weekend so many venues are already booked, as well as more traffic, and less hotel space available.

We're getting married on Mother's Day weekend and thought the flowers from the wedding would be a nice incentive to give to the mothers of our church...But we are working with our florist in advance so we do not hit any snafus.

A lot of graduations are that weekend- depending on your guest list that could be an issue, flowers will be more expensive or you may have to get different flowers than what is popular, other than that, if people missing out on the holiday is a concern, just have something saying happy mothers day in the program or a toast to all the mothers.

Hallmark holiday. No big deal. I would come. Haha.

Jamie is right though, graduations and also communions are that weekend, so I would check with your most important guests before you set the date.
