My first wedding was mother's day weekend. I had a hard time finding a florist who would commit to a wedding that weekend (I did eventually and the flowers were lovely). I also paid more for my flowers.

It also made it interesting once the kids came. Mother's Day certainly took precedence over the anniversary.

My wedding was fine, but I wouldn't willingly choose it again.

It depends most on your and FH's mom's-- do one or both of them expect a big deal every Mother's Day? If so, that could be annoying when you want to travel for your anniversary and someone's mom is sulking cause you didn't spend 'her day' with her. Also, keep in mind, some day *you* may have children, and then it'll be *your* day, with your anniversary on top. May not be a problem for you and your family, but I'd think about it.

I'm getting married Mother's Day weekend. My mom is far away so it will actually make it so I can see her. Since my wedding is the 11th people still have time for mom on Mother's Day on the 12th.
