Did you meet your fiancé(e) online?

Oddly enough we met online, but our paths had crossed before. He messaged me first. We talked, became Facebook friends. I was looking through his pictures, when I’d realized I’d seen him before. I work at a baseball stadium and realized I’d seen him at a game. Come to find out he was on a date. Lol I always find it interesting it took going online for us to connect. 🙂

We met on match.com in January 2015. I liked some of his pictures but he messaged me first. He has a few pictures of him holding his baby niece and I thought they were cute, and he had great blue eyes. When he first messaged me all he said is we should start chatting and I said usually you start with a greeting like hello. He wasn't put off by it and it worked out in the end! Our first date was a week or two later.

I grew up with my husband. He was & is my childhood sweetheart!
We grew up went different directions in life & then found each other on Facebook started talking again & visiting each other. Then June 23, 2018 we got married! Happiest day of my life!

We met on eHarmony. It was a few days after Christmas last year. I was feeling blue about a different online prospect flaking out. I had met/came across a lot of disappointment with online dating. I happened to see an commercial for eHarmony’s free communication weekend. I thought, let me give that site on last try (I had tried it eariler in thr year with no luck).

So I logged in and to my surprise I had a message waiting for me. He had sent it earlier in the month. I replied thinking he wouldnt reply since I took so long to respond. Well he did, we met for coffe on New Years eve, and the rest is history! ❤️👰🏻🤵🏼💍

We met on OKCupid. I right swiped him (he was sooooo cute!). He messaged me and the rest is history!

We met on okcupid.com. It was late one night and he messaged me.. saying "good evening ma'am"... I teased him that he called me ma'am because I was a year older than him. He figured we would only talk for the night... but then it turned into every night for 2 weeks. Then a few late night phone calls and 3 weeks after that first message we met for dinner. It has not always been easy and we split up for a few years... but 7.5 years after that first hello we are married and have been for a year now.

It was okcupid in October 2012. He messaged first. I always responded to messages but he stood out because we had similar interests and it was clear he took the time to read my profile. We chatted for hours and that same day I asked to meet in person (the date was three days later). I had never moved that fast on meeting someone but we instantly conmected.

Met on Tinder lol, he "super" liked me, I was looking at his profile after and after seeing his picture holding a dog and wearing a St Louis Blues jersey, I figured "Hey why not" and messaged him! I still remember when he responded I was sitting at a stop light so actually looked down at my phone when it went off, and then had the most agonizing 25 minute drive home from there lol we talked for about 3 weeks before we actually met and of course there was the little matter that I freaked out and bailed on our first date (which he was completely understanding about and just said "Ok...can we still talk?" and ended up offering to bring me starbucks to work when I was having a bad day the next week, I figured that if he was willing to go out of his way to bring a girl he had never met coffee, I better actually go on a date with him!!!

And the rest is history! (minus my slight freak out a few months in when I realized I love him, was scared to be vulnerable again to someone a took a weeklong "break" where I was miserable and missed him like crazy)

I met my fiancé first on eharmony. He messaged me but I didn’t reply because I had literally just started dating a guy in real life and was deleting my account. Eight months later I was single again and got on match instead. Saw my fiancé’s profile and that he was still single and looking, and I thought that guy is so cute so I messaged him. We chatted online for a month before he asked for the first date. We went to Panera bread April 12, 2015 and we had so much fun. I knew I wanted to marry him from that day. He thinks that’s crazy but I’ve never felt that from any other first dates.

Fh and I met on plenty of fish and it wasn’t love at first click because I had had a lot of problems with the guys I met so I was guarded until he made the effort to come meet me himself (I worked just down the road from where he worked) and brought me flowers and ordered his lunch. He came in in his work uniform and shortly after that we stayed the night together, and the rest is history... been together since I’ve always felt like I knew him in a past life.

We met on okcupid November 2014. He messaged me first. Then we started talking. Then some late night phone calls. We stayed up all night talking. Then had our first date after the new year. 11 months later we were engaged.

We met on pof. He messaged me first. We ended up talking for 6 weeks before we met in person. We were supposed to meet a couple of times and things just came up with him and we had to cancel. The third time we were supposed to meet he kinda cancelled on me again (he'd been working in the yard all day and wasn't feeling well) and I was so disappointed. We ended up chatting (texting) all that day anyway and at like 7pm he finally said do you still want to meet up? I of course said yes! So we met like an hour later to go have drinks and snacks. It was love at first sight. We both knew that we had a connection before actually meeting in person but it was me meeting my soulmate that night. We ended up staying up talking until 3am! The next afternoon we met again and just talked more. He was leaving that Thursday to take a new job elsewhere. We ended up having a long distance relationship where he came back here every weekend to see me for 2 months, then he just couldn't take it anymore and quit his job and moved back here. The rest is history!

Me and my fiance met on plenty of fish Oct 2011. He massaged me frist and then I give him my number then one day in Oct 2011 He called me and asked if I would like to go on a date. I said yes and we furgied out what we where doing for the date that night. He came and picked me up from my house and I got on the car with him he introduced himself to me. I was nerves and then I introduced myself. I stayed up against the door the hole ride to dinner. He was doing everything he could to clam me down and make me rexal. He made me laugh by telling me that he had ran over his phone with his truck. We talked over dinner and sparkles and all the alarms went off that's how I know he was the one for me. Now 6 years later we are planning a wedding

We met on match.com in February 2015. We actually both put up our profiles on the same night and he was the first guy who winked at me (though as I like to say definitely not the last!). He stood out to me above all the others though. We talked a few days later on the phone and hit it off and then met that weekend and have been inseparable ever since.

That's so sweet that he was trying to calm you down and make you laugh!! First dates always made me so nervous that I couldn't stop giggling! I also loved that he called you to set up your first date! What made you say yes to going out with him?! Did you have a feeling he could be the one after the first date??

I met my fiancé on catholic match. I had been on a few dates with a guy when Michael first messaged me so I didn’t message him right way. The other guy was moving painstakingly slow (two months and we had been on three dates) when I finally got the courage to tell that guy I wasn’t interested, I logged back on that night and saw michael’s message “I like your profile, want to meet for coffee?” it was about a month old and I messaged him and said “hey if you’re still interested I’d love to get coffee.” Well we ended up meeting for a beer instead and it went so well we got dinner afterwards. We saw each other every weekend and sometimes for dinner in the middle. We lived over an hour apart and he never once complained about driving to see me and he never made me feel like I had to come to him. We met in the middle a lot and started off doing things neither of us had done before. (Touring Coors and visiting a catholic shrine in golden) it was just odd how similar we were and how easy it was to be around each other. We started talking about getting engaged 2 months after we met and now we’ll be getting married in November, a year and 5 days since our first date.

He finally did, we met for drinks at a brewery. I thought, "Oh, he's cute!!" His pictures online didnt do him justice! We sat outside talking for 2 hours and never ended up going inside to get a drink. On the first date he asked if we could have a second, which had never happened-- I was SO used to the 3 day rule that guys use-- and I said yes!

At the end of the date, he walked me to my car, asked me if he could kiss me and that's our story. ♡

Technically we met at work. But our first date was because of Tinder!

Our departments were next to each other and one of the guys in his group always had a drawer full of amazing chocolate so I'd walk over there and take some. FH was apparently trying to say hi when I did this but I'm super shy and block out everything so I never knew. Then he moved his desk close to my supervisor(desks change frequently). I was in her office quite often to cheer her up since her son had passed away and he would come in the office to make fun of me and I'd make fun of him(jokingly) just to try to make her laugh. One day he wrote in my notebook some random funny thing and I didn't notice for a week because we have almost identical handwritting. Then one day I was home and bored and alone so I was swiping through Tinder and came across his picture and swiped yes. Then a pop up said we were a match and I panicked and messaged him like LOL I guess we are a match how funny is that. After a good hour of talking on Tinder he said what if I wrote my number in your notebook would you call me to go on a date? A week later we had our first date!
