Was it love at first click for you and your FS? Who messaged who first? Was it a smooth pick-up line or a sweet profile picture that led you to want to meet in person? I want to hear your story! I met my FH on bumble. He looked fun in his photos and his profile listed all activities I loved to or always wanted to try. He swiped on me because I had photos of myself outside on a hike and he likes being outside. I started the conversation by asking how ling he had been rock climbing (most of his photos were of him climbing). I also told him I had never climbed but always wanted to. He responded within minutes asking if I wanted to go climbing after work on Monday (this was Saturday). I agreed and we set the date and then didn't message at all until our date. We both had a great time and on Tuesday we messaged and made plans for both Wednesday and Saturday. After our date Saturday we saw each other everyday and now two years later we've moved across the country together, are about to buy a condo, and we're getting married!

We met online, but not through a dating site. A mutual friend invited each of us to take one of those silly online quizzes. In theory, it would tell you how compatible you were with your friends who took the test, and also with their friends. It said that NotFroofy and I were 100% compatible, so each of us asked our mutual friend to introduce us. We instant messages on the old ICQ, then started talking by phone. She was in the UK and I am in Maryland, so it wasn't practical for us to go out for coffee. However, it turned out that she had quit her job and was in the process of selling her house, so that she could use the proceeds to train for a new career. I suggested that she take the training course near me. I had what was previously the nanny's quarters in my basement, so if the relationship didn't work out, she could live down there until the course was over, then go back to the UK. Clearly, the relationship did work out, and here we are, almost 18 years later.

We met on Match.com. He messaged me first. I could tell instantly he was different than most guys. After two days of messaging he asked me on a “date” this was so refreshing as many guys in their 20’s use the term “wanna hangout sometime” and that drives me crazy. There wasn’t crazy sparks on the first date but he was kind and I knew I wanted to see him again. We ended up going out on an impromptu date the next day and he kissed me and I felt allll the butterflies. We’ve been inseparable ever since. We get married in exactly one month!

We met on Tindr. I think I liked him first, but he messaged me first. We chatted for a few days then decided to meet in person. Our first date was at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and we talked for hours after the park closed. I knew by the end of the night he was something special. But I never dreamed we’d end up engaged.

We met on okcupid. I was just about to give up and delete the account when he messaged me. We chatted through the phone via text for about a week, then we met in person on our first date. The connection we had was like no other. It’s funny because he wanted to chat through voice calls and I didn’t, so he thought I had been cat fishing him! Haha He was pleasantly surprised to find out it was really meSmiley smile

No, he was introduced by a friend. I found dating on line you run into a lot of creeps.

We met on match. He messaged me. We messaged for a while started texting. I spent a long of time traveling for work then. It was 8 weeks before we met in person. We had fun it wasn’t love at first click it was a friendship that over then next 4 months turned into love and then almost 2 years later he proposed that was just under a year ago. In 22 days we get married. I have always questioned the people who say I married my best friend. I’ve have a lot of best friends none could I imagine being married too. Now I get it. Never thought of my past two husbands as best friends before or after the wedding

My honey and I met on okcupid! He messaged me a good sized message and it showed he had clearly read my profile! I almost didn't message him back but I thought, eh why not? We had some great conversations for about a week then we met up for dinner one night. Sat for almost 4 hours just talking and not a moment was awkward, which was a first for me! It felt more like old friends catching up rather than an awkward stranger meetup.

I looked through his profile and saw a lot of things I liked about him and what made me say yes to the date is that he actually called and set a date with me and he was very polite on the phone. I know on the first date that he was the one for me because we connected on so many ways and he was much a gentleman and was very thing i was looking for in a mate

We met on POF. I messaged him first and the next morning he logged on to delete his profile but decided to respond to me. We messaged each other all day he called me that night and we met for dinner after work the next night. I practically moved in within the first week. I completely moved in within 4 months. We got married after 16 months and next month will be our one year anniversary.

We’re a tinder couple! i had just moved back to my hometown after being out of state for 5 years, and he had just moved in with some of his buddies 10 minutes down the street from my parents. i wasn’t originally going to make a tinder since i had just left a bad relationship, but my best friend (now MOH) convinced me to just get out and meet people and take it slow. i had 5 dates with 5 different guys set up that week, and he was my first date. i immediately cancelled all the other ones because of how smitten i was by him, and the rest is history!

I should totally add that at first, i almost didn’t swipe right on him! not because he wasn’t cute (because holy crap is he gorgeous), but his bio came off rather douchey! i figured he was probably be a jerk and wouldn’t be worth my time, but i wasn’t taking tinder too seriously so i swiped. turns out he’s one of the wittiest, funniest, most compassionate guys ever, and thankfully nothing like his hip tried to make him seem! 😝

A friend of mine had met a girl via Match.com. He said I should give it a try, I said no, but he was willing to pay for my first month so I figured why not, okay, I'll give it a try.

Made a profile, viewed some profiles, went on a few dates. Which by the way dating is a pain in the arse. I'd never really done it before. One day I was going through photos of matches online and I came across this guy and something told me "him." So I messaged him.

My FH tells me I had him at "Let's Chat." ha! So that's how I got him to answer my first message. Than later I almost lost him when were talking about my picky eating habits via the web and he asked me something along the lines of "What would you not eat?" and I came back with a simple response "ants."

I guess I almost lost him with that, and I was freaking out because he hadn't responded so I messaged again to smooth it over. He hadn't responded because he was out late drinking cause it was his Birthday weekend.

We later when on our first date, which he knew I had two other dates earlier in the week. At the end of the week I was going to decide who I was going to choose. A guy who owned a welding company, a navy man, or a recruiter (my FH). I chose him, and that was after our first date where we both didn't even score each other as A's, which was just a funny joke between us because of my other two dates, but we were so close to getting sick on our date. We went to a Labor Day Festival, went on rides, and ate some food, the rides made us so sick we spent the rest of the day listening to Polka Music with old people and talking about stuffed animals. It was ridiculous but I loved it. I've been with him ever since.

We first met on OKCupid. He says he had messaged me before and that I hadn't responded. Turns out I had been messaged by him and my now ex around the same time, but I stupidly pursued the other guy. When that relationship ended quite horribly about (that's a novel in itself), I went back on OKC and tried my luck again. I was super pessimistic about my chances at finding a "good one," but I figured it couldn't hurt to try. He messaged me again and a few days later I was having a really horrible day. I said, "I just need some happy in my day." His response is something I'll remember forever. He said, "I could be your happy." It was one of those times when you hear exactly what you need to hear at just the right time. We met up that night in May of 2015, and we are getting married this November. I met my happy and I never want to let him go.
