We are so thankful that we chose The Bird and The Bear to be our wedding photographers and videographers! We had an amazing experience working with them! I was not stressed once and they were so kind every time we spoke to them. They were a calming presence on our wedding day and we are so thankful they captured such amazing memories for us! -

Bryan was an absolute DREAM to work with! He is so talented, and he is so easy going and created the engagement pictures and wedding pictures of our dream. Amazing!!!! I can't say enough great things about my experience. The pictures are amazing and so is our video. My husband and I get camera shy but we felt so relaxed and at ease with them around and it almost felt like they weren't even there. They captured all the moments we had hoped for and I am so glad I got referred to them. They are responsive to our emails and questions. I had wanted The Bird & The Bear to photograph my wedding since I was in college(before I met my husband and when I lived in Chicago!) after seeing their work on Style Me Pretty. I had the privilege of moving to Austin and couldn't have been more thrilled when I realized that it's where they're based out of! Working with Caryn & Bryan was so awesome every step of the way. We did photo and video and their package was really an incredible deal for such sought after photographers. Caryn is beyond talented and her photos are just incredible. I really hope neither of us ever move because I will be using them for every big event in the future! -
User2082616 Sent on 03/30/2015I was so excited to work with Caryn and Bryan and on the day of my wedding (last week) they could not have been more perfect to have there. They made me feel so relaxed and were so professional. Even when my husband's groomsmen and my 2 year old nephew got a little rowdy, Caryn and Bryan could not have been more easy going. The photo booth (run by Andra) was perfect and all of my guests were huddled around it all night! I can't wait to see our photos and video as I know they will be absolute perfection. -
User1815710 Sent on 09/17/2014The Bird And The Bear did an absolutely exceptional job. I was extremely impressed with all the photographs and their professionalism. We had a little trouble with getting payments made due to issue with daily limits on our bank accounts but they were very flexible and understanding. I would definitely recommend and use them in the future. -
User1736738 Sent on 07/28/2014The first time I heard of The Bird & The Bear was actually on Instagram! I saw the most beautiful photo of a couple at our venue and thought, "Wow, these are amazing, but there is no way I could afford them!" When I saw their website, I INSTANTLY fell in love with their work and everything they do! Meeting them in person at our engagement shoot just sweetened the deal. They are so lovely and wonderful to be around. Caryn was nothing short of amazing throughout the entire process. She was always available to talk to and quickly responded to my emails (a rarity in wedding vendors, you may find)! She is a posing MASTER, too. Really, I felt extremely comfortable and confident in her hands. Also, they worked together to make a beautiful finished product. I know I would not have been happy without having both of them together making something perfect to capture our day. So, so happy with my experience! I recommend them a million percent!

User1611869 Sent on 05/08/2014I cannot say enough good things about Caryn and Bryan. Right off the bat I liked them because they were very nice AND because they were a husband and wife team. I had talked to lots of other photographers before meeting them and EVERY photographer I talked to admitted to not liking working with videographers because they get in each others shots, there's not good communication between them, etc. But Caryn and Bryan are a team so they work together, not against each other. They plan out how to get the best shots for the video AND the photos, and that really shows in the end results!
The Bird and the Bear did our engagement photos and video, my bridal portraits, and our wedding photos and video. We keep going back to them because they are truly awesome. They have a talent for capturing candid moments and for even making the required formal family/bridal party photos look more natural. No awkward stuffy shots! Because of these talents, they are really able to capture the feeling of the day. They do a good amount of directing when needed but they are definitely not pushy or bossy.
Bryan is able to capture things in the video that I didn't even know were going on around me, so it was so great to see all those missed moments! Plus his video editing skills are awesome. The videos are fun and naturally and really capture the feeling of the day. Caryn has a great eye for backgrounds, lighting, posing (when necessary), and staging (when necessary, like staging the dress, rings, etc) which all adds up to great photos. She captures moments so skillfully and photos aren't over- or under-edited. I really love her light and airy style!
Plus they are both super nice. And both are very calming presences on the big day, which is great because sometimes nerves can be high and you need someone calming around, not someone high strung. Seriously, hire them now. -
User1526231 Sent on 02/03/2014I could not be more impressed and in love with The Bird & The Bear Photography! Everything was perfect! Not only that, we received our images in just two weeks. That, and their attention to detail, professionalism and fun approach blew my mind. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
