  Wow, we lucked out! My husband found Steven Mackie on Craigslist. We were looking for an affordable photographer to capture our wedding day. Not only was his portfolio amazing, but he was kind, affordable, and very helpful on photo ideas. Our wedding day couldn't have gone off more better. Steven had taken the time to visit with us a couple of weeks before the big day, as well as go check out the venue on his own personal time to ensure he had his plan ready.
  The day of the wedding, Steven had shown up earlier than expected, which was a big relief, since every vendor seems to be late on the actual wedding day. Our family was very pleased with his eye for detail, as well as professionalism. Not only did we get preview pictures the next morning after our wedding, but we got AMAZING pictures.
  It has only been a couple of weeks since the wedding and we were already able to share the finished product with our friends and family. If you are looking for a photographer with a keen eye for detail, he's your man. I've already referred a friend to Steven for her wedding in May. I'm sure she will be just as excited and pleased with her photos as well.

  We are so happy to have chosen Steven as our wedding photographer! From the initial consultation, we knew he would be both a fun and professional person to have following us around on our big day :) He has been so helpful and understanding throughout the entire process, and we are so thankful he was able to work within our limited budget. He is WELL WORTH any price. He responded to all my emails and was so sweet to work with.
  
  At the last minute, Steven offered to have an assistant help at the wedding (at no extra cost to us), and she (Michele) was absolutely wonderful. She took a lot of our detail shots and was so considerate the whole day. Even when the wind had us move our family shots inside, they were both so professional and worked hard to make every shot look perfect. They showed up early and even offered to stay late. They made us feel comfortable around the camera. We couldn't have asked for a better team.
  
  I really cant say enough about how happy we are to have chosen Steven to create beautiful images of our memorable day. We are honestly OVERJOYED with how beautiful our pictures are and we will cherish them forever!

  Steven was a pleasure to work with. He is passionate about his work, and about honoring the bride's vision for the wedding photographs.
  
  On the day of our outdoor wedding, it rained over two inches. Steven showed up early, stayed late, and came prepared with special equipment for the weather. I was impressed by his ingenuity and willingness to go the extra mile.
  
  He is easygoing, a great listener, and fun to work with... just an all-around cool dude! We have a beautiful collection of candid and formal photographs that Steven was able to capture without being obtrusive.
  
  Steven Mackie is an excellent value. I would recommend him to anyone getting married or needing a photographer for any reason.

  We hired Steven Mackie for our wedding in Austin, TX on 12/29/11. He was great. He was very professional, and the pictures look fantastic. He is an amazing bargain - though we booked him at the beginning of his photography career so surely he will be charging more (and rightly so!) for his excellent service in the future.
  
  There was a minor hiccup about the timing of the wedding and his other job - since the wedding was during the week a conflict occurred that gave us a scare but it all worked out in the end. However, it may be something to go over with him if you are planning on booking him during the week.
  
  Overall, I would highly recommend Steven for all your photography needs. He provides great communication both before and after the day, and is extremely fast in delivering the photos. We feel very fortunate to have had Steven as our photographer and would recommend him 100% to anyone. Really, save yourself a lot of trouble and time and just book this guy. Srsly.

  Steven is an absolute professional and his photos are perfection! The photos from our wedding were gorgeous and exactly the feel we wanted somewhat classic with an artistic twist. The pictures of our rings and cake topper are a work of art. We appreciated his ability to direct us to get the right shot as well as capturing the little moments. The multi picture photos also make great gifts. I have already recommended Steven many times and we cannot wait to utilize him in the future.

  There were so many things that went wrong on our wedding day. The one thing that didn't was our photographer, Steven Mackie! We were running late and at a point where I think I was about to freak out he calmed me by his kind words. While this was not part of his job, I truly appreciated it. We loved the work he did. He captured all the special moments from our day which is exactly what we were looking for. We've received so many compliments on the beautiful photos. He takes time to figure out what your looking for in your photos before the wedding day. He was very prepared, calm and as hot as it was smiled through the whole process. Steven was truly amazing to work with.

  Steven Mackie was a consumate professional. I couldn't have asked for more in a photographer. He went above and beyond being considerate, timely, accommodating and understanding. He's artistic in his vision, yet very open to your ideas. He definitely has a eye for beauty and knows a beautiful shot when he sees one. And, he's a really great guy to boot. You will NOT be disappointed in his services. I adore the photos he took of my wedding and will cherish them forever.

  We got married 4/2/11. We were in need of a photograher so decide to look on craigslist thats when i found Steven. He was the only one that i found that had a reasonable price.
  He had a really great price for the time i had him there for our wedding. He was there for about 6-7 hours. He even go there a couple hours earlie to take pictures and check out great locations to take group shot even my husband and my pictures.
  He was very flexable meeting w/a crazy bride to be. He was so flexible about showing up on time and being there maybe a little after the time he was suppose to be there. I was really greatful for his time and handling it well.
  I will refer Steven to everyone that i know that is looking for a photograher. He was great and reasonable. He captured great pictures of our beautiful day. I would not change finind him for nothing in the world. Thank you so much Steven for all your hard work and dealing with me. We really appreciate everything.

  Although our wedding day seems like a blur the moment felt perfect and amazing. In fact, when we woke up the next day my husband and I wondered if it had all been a dream. Luckily, we are able to refer to our wonderful wedding photos to remind us that, indeed, everything turned out beautifully. Our friends and family have been using words like stunning and breathtaking to describe our photos and most have commented that our photos truly captured our happiness and love.
  
  From our very first meeting, we both knew that the result of Mackie’s work would turn out artistic and the process would be professional. In the months and weeks leading up to our big day, Steven kept tabs on us and spent a great deal of time scouting locations and settings that would capture both of our personalities. We were both intent on having wedding photos that came alive and told our particular story and Steven was able to produce the uniqueness that we hoped he would. What is more, his prices were reasonable and he made it very easy for us to work with him.
