Katherine and her husband are beyond talented!!! We are so lucky to have had them for our wedding!! I spent countless hours agonizing over photographers and then I came across Katherine's website as she was recommended by our venue. I am so in love with our photos!! Both engagement and wedding. She is so sweet and laid back and has a way of making you feel really comfortable. I love the uniqueness of her photos. We have had endless compliments on what a wonderful job they did. You cannot go wrong with these two!! Amazing amazing!!

Katherine and her husband are amazing photographers! We hired Kathrine to do both our engagement session and wedding and we could not be any happier with the results! The pictures are amazing and the turnaround to get them back was very quick. Her work using vintage cameras really sets her apart from most photographers and is sold us on hiring her. If you are looking for a photographer that is artistic and very creative, then hire Katherine!

Katherine and her husband take beautiful photographs, but they also do a wonderful job of staying calm and have a wonderful presence that adds to your day. My husband and I are so happy we chose them and our guests can't stop talking about the amazing photo booth and fantastic moments they captured!

Extremely Talented

Katherine and her husband were absolutely amazing. We just got our photos back (earlier than expected), and couldn't be happier with how they turned out. This team was extremely dedicated to providing us the right balance between memorable photos and letting us enjoy the night. They arrived early, were extremely responsive and professional, and did a fantastic job. Katherine even met with us multiple times before the event -- once to even visit the venue before the big day! We definitely recommend them to anyone who wishes to have photos that they'll LOVE.

Incredible!

Katherine was a complete joy to work with and she captured the most beautiful photos of my wedding in December. From the beginning she listened to what we wanted and made us feel comfortable all day long. The photos turned out absolutely gorgeous and I know that I will be looking at them forever, happy and glad that I chose Katherine to capture our wedding. Katherine was absolutely wonderful from our first meeting with her, all the way through us receiving our wedding photos. We booked Katherine for our engagement photos and our wedding photos.

Our engagement photos turned out great! Katherine was very flexible on when and where to do them. We decided to have some taken at our home, and some in the park by the 360 bridge. She took so many photos, we had plenty to choose from, and they were just beautiful.

On our wedding day, Katherine and her husband, Jeff, showed up early, and immediately started taking photos. And they were there all the way though the end of the night, with our sparkler send off. She finished processing the photos very quickly (less than 3 weeks) after our wedding. And they are absolutely stunning! They captured our wedding wonderfully, all the way through.

We couldn't be more happy with Katherine and Jeff's work! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional, experienced, amazing photographers for a special event.

Katherine was AMAZING and I recommend her 10,000%. The process, from start to finish, was great. Katherine is responsive, clear, and she is a dream to work with. She provides immense value and knowledge and she makes the process quick and easy. We had our photos back the day we got back from our honeymoon!!!!! She is super talented and she managed to capture the day from start to finish and told the tale through gorgeous photos. Her work is amazing!!!! And she is calm, sweet, and gets the job done without bossing anybody around. She blended into the day and got the job done -- the result? Gorgeous, journalistic-style, editorial photos mixed with perfect family shots and details of the day we didn't get to see ourselves. HIRE HER!!

Katherine was fantastic. She did our engagement, wedding, and wedding photobooth. All of the photos are beautiful! We've gotten so many compliments on them! Photography was critical to us because we knew we'd want pictures we would cherish forever, and she was was a great choice. Her packages were very reasonable especially since each photo session comes with an album.

Katherine helped us relax to take great family photos and then captured all the right moments during the ceremony and reception. We expected to have her and her husband at the wedding, but even her daughter took photos, too, so we had three photographers! Her prices were so good that we felt comfortable getting the photobooth, too, and we're so glad we did. These are actually some of our favorite photos! Katherine's husband did a great job getting our family and friends to let loose in the photo booth, and we couldn't be more grateful. We also really wanted natural shots of everyone dancing, too, and Katherine and her family made this happen. We strongly recommend her and her family!

I have recommended Katherine O'Brien to several of my engaged friends. She did our engagement photos, and they turned out perfect. Even though our photo shoot was a hot September morning, she was able to capture the best of my fiancé and me. You can't even tell how shy we felt during the shoot; she just made us feel very comfortable. And she got us the proofs quickly. I totally trust her to capture the memorable moments from our wedding. She is really quite talented. You will not regret booking her.

So happy I went with Katherine for my wedding photos- she was utterly amazing!

First to start with, my wedding was very small- about 30 people and she was the only photographer in the area that I contacted that was happy to shoot the wedding without a second shooter which really helped with our budget. She was excellent with her communication- I was planning my wedding from abroad so needed to contact her via email and she always responded within a few days or less. One of the main reasons I decided to go with Katherine after seeing her blog and portfolio was that she did film photography as well as digital- super fun!

On the day of the wedding Katherine was like a second coordinator for me and my family- who know nothing about weddings! She was running around all day shooting both parties, taking flowers to family members and helping direct people around. She was super friendly and really easy to speak - Honestly, I cannot thank her enough for her extra help on the day of the wedding!

And on top of all that it only took a couple of weeks to get the photos back. Really lovely service! Book her now!

I'm SO happy we decided to use Katherine! She is absolutely the best. Her schedule was flexible when trying to set the additional sessions and she always responded promptly. Her work is absolutely stunning - definitely check out her website!!! She also had very competitive pricing and her additional sessions are worth every penny. Beyond her work she is such a sweet person and really goes out of her way to make sure she has some beautiful shots and that you feel very comfortable when working with her. For me and my husband, picking our wedding photographer was our most important decision during the wedding planning process. We are SO HAPPY we found Katherine O'Brien! Her packages are comprehensive and very reasonably priced for what she provides. She shot our engagement photos, and I knew we made the right decision almost immediately after she arrived at the first location we chose. She is professional, sharp, creative, and interested in your story. She provided just the right amount of direction, which was especially important to me since I have always felt a little awkward/shy in front of a camera.

Katherine made sure to reach out to me so I could let her know about any "must have" photos from our ceremony/reception, which was great because I had totally forgotten to send her examples of photos I wanted. She remembered several of the photos I wanted to have and made sure to take them, which was great because I was so busy/distracted I never would have remembered. AND, she and Jeff successfully corralled and organized my husband and my families for the formal shots we wanted- which is a task because we both have huge families. I am so extremely happy with the photos of our ceremony and reception. She captured the big moments and the small details and candid interactions beautifully. I wish I could upload some photos as an example- but just go look at her website and you will see immediately! And, our album is gorgeous- the image quality is amazing and she was extremely helpful and diligent in formatting the album.

Throughout the entire process of working with Katherine (from first email to receiving our wedding album), she has been responsive, kind, and professional. I feel very lucky to have found a photographer who is not only talented artistically but also great with the business side of things. Working with Katherine and Jeff was a such a positive experience- I highly recommend them!

I was looking for a photographer who could go beyond the 'run-of-the-mill' wedding photography style, who could truly capture the spirit of our wedding and Katherine more than delivered. Katherine and her husband blew me away - they made the photo-taking portion of the wedding an enjoyable experience - when something was off schedule - they filled that time with detail/decor shots, when someone wasn't ready for a picture - they quickly filled that time with another family shot. They had fun with the shoot - which just proves that they are truly passionate about their craft. Katherine listened to and delivered on everything in my 'shot wish list' and more. The photos I have of the wedding far exceed my expectations - they are cool, quirky, traditional while edgy - and truly capture the spirit and energy of that awesome night.

Katherine and her husband Jeff photographed my wedding and provided a photo booth for the event. Communication with Katherine prior to and after the event was always prompt, helpful, and friendly. She customized a photo package based on our needs and availability and we received our photos very quickly after the wedding! And the photos themselves were stunning!! She took what we had discussed prior to the wedding and transformed that into exactly the kind of photos I had envisioned. I could not have asked for a better photographer for my wedding!

I can not emphasize enough how fantastic Katherine and Jeff are. She remained so patient and calm despite us starting an hour late and my huge family being a mess to organize. They worked well with the videographers and, though I've only had a sneak peek, got the most amazing photos. They were on top of everything but didn't interfere at all. They are 5 stars across the board.

Katherine and Jeff did a fantastic job. Approximately 15 days after our wedding we received an email from Katherine explaining it was their busy season so the full gallery was going to be posted in several weeks (this is still in line with the contract) but she wanted to provide us with a "sneak peek". We were told there was some editing to be done but the photos were amazing and I could not be happier with them. I would recommend Katherine and Jeff, they were extremely easy to work with and creative with photo ideas.

Katherine was the perfect photographer. We used her for our engagement photos and wedding photos. She made us feel comfortable from the beginning and provided us with amazing photos. I usually hate taking pictures and always think that I look awkward. I seriously loved all of our photos.
At our wedding she quickly got to know our families and made sure to get all of the shots we said were important with out ever being intrusive. We were told by many guests that we had the nicest wedding photos they had ever seen. We are so lucky that we have Katherine's photos of our wedding day to look at for the rest of our lives. I would recommend her to anyone!

Katherine has her act together. She had such a nice way about her. We were impressed with her planning and organization. It was apparent that she has been at this for a long time because knew exactly what she was doing from start to finish. She was extremely professional and was able to get all of the shots we wanted while blending right into the background of the event. I was not expecting to see photos for at least a month, so I was shocked to receive an adorable little package with a usb drive of photos enclosed just a few weeks later. We loved our photos and are so lucky to have such beautiful reminders of our special day.

Katherine and her husband are a great team. I hired them after seeing them in action at my friend's wedding and loving their photos. They are both calm and warm, reducing stress for me and making their presence feel minimally invasive, which is a beautiful thing on a chaotic day. Guests love the photo "booth" they create, and funny portraits come out great! A third friend has already used them for her wedding and loved them.

I chose Katherine O’Brien Photography as my wedding photographer, based on a referral from a friend and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience, from engagement photos, bridals to the big day.

Despite how awkward it truly is to take engagement photos, Katherine made my then-fiancé and I feel very comfortable throughout the entire evening. I imagined staying in one spot for the photos, but Katherine moved us around the entire time, really exploring the area and having a sense for what would made a beautiful shot, which resulted in a wide diversity of shots with remarkable backdrops.

Bridal portraits with Katherine went exceedingly smooth. My venue was new, so she had come early and scouted spots out before I had arrived. Due to some work on the new venue, we were limited on where we could shoot, but she dreamed up some unique, outside-of-the box shots that turned into some of my favorites of the day.

I couldn’t tell you how relieved I was to walk off the bus when I arrived at our venue on our wedding day and found Katherine there already shooting. She always arrived early and didn’t miss a thing. Because she had a partner, she was able to be with us in the bridal suite the entire time before the ceremony and capture our special moments, big or small. During the chaos of wrangling all family members for photos, they remained calm and professional. My favorite moment was when she pulled my husband and I aside during the craziness of the reception to capture some breathtaking twilight shots, which I am so appreciative of.

I could go on forever on Katherine’s professionalism and gift for finding the perfect moments, but that doesn’t compare to how thankful I am to have had some of the most beautiful photos I’ve seen, capturing the best day of my life. After spending 12 months worrying about everything under the sun preparing for a wedding, photography was one thing I never worried about with Katherine, and that feeling is priceless.

Katherine not only provided us with to die for photographs of our special day, but she also made an execs lent addition to our "day of" team! She and her husband were wonderful to work with and were so calm and helpful on the day of the wedding! With all the "getting ready" chaos, it helped immensely that the two of them were so helpful, calm, and knew exactly what to do to get the perfect photos without adding to the stress! They did a phenomenal job and we couldn't had been happier to work with them! We love are photos and really appreciate their creative and artsy style!

Katherine and Jeff did a fabulous job as our wedding photographer. She did our engagement photos, wedding photos, and photo booth. Also included was our a guest book of our engagement photos. Not only did she do a great job as a photographer, she was incredibly helpful on our wedding day and working with the wedding coordinator and our timeline. She was great to work with and incredibly responsive with emails. Any idea or vision you have for your photos, she'll totally work with you to make it a reality. I cannot recommend her enough!

Katherine and her husband Jeff are amazing photographers, they captured our day so beautifully. Katherine is calm, responsive, and very wise (she shared her experience and gave great advice and suggestions throughout the whole process). Our guestbook and wedding album is beautiful and such a treasure, she incorporates a creative perspective in all aspects of her work. I would recommend them to any bride or person looking for a creative reflection of a precious event; their work is truly fine art.
