  An incredible experience and amazing photos

  Cody was an absolute delight from start to finish when it came to our wedding! At the first meeting, he took the time to get to know us and asked what style of photos we wanted. From there, he was frequently in touch with ideas for photos and very easy to work with. Most importantly, he didn't oversell what was needed to create stunning photos and was very honest about what we would receive and what to expect. On the day of our wedding, Cody was outstanding in capturing all the photos and pulling together large families, who are not the easiest to manage. Cody's final product was incredible as he captured all of the excitement, love, and joy from family and friends. Cody even sent us a few sneak peak photos the day after the wedding, and before we went on our honeymoon, so we had something to look back on. Cody did an incredible job and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

  Every detail captured! Thank you, Cody!

  Working with Cody was the best decision we made! He was so accommodating and so incredibly helpful and reassuring you can't ask for a better photographer! He even helped me figure out my day of timeline so I could easily gather friends and family at the right times in the right places. What I loved most about his approach is that he really focuses on candid moments and those were most important to me. When we got our pictures back, very soon after by the way, I was amazed by what he was able to capture. Then when we later got our album we truly felt back in those moments and back at our wedding day. He captured the mood, the lighting, the rooms & details that I didn't want to forget. You're so busy running around on your wedding day it's nice to know Cody is there capturing all the details you'd have missed without him.   Absolutely the best photographer, our extended family will never use anyone else!

  We worked with Cody both for our engagement photos last fall and for our wedding a year later. We also knew of Cody because he had photographed my brother's wedding several years ago. It's fair to say he's practically part of the family now. Out experiences with Cody could not have been better! He's incredibly talented, unobtrusive, respectful, and just fun to be around and work with. He made us both feel so comfortable in front of the camera and was able to keep us relaxed and smiling throughout many hours of photos. Our family and friends also greatly enjoyed working with him. For our wedding, Cody spent time with us scoping out locations at our venue that he thought would be good for photos. He selected some really great spots but was also open to our ideas and was able to accommodate requests that we had. During our reception, Cody was like a ghost ninja, everywhere and nowhere at the same time. We are certain to work with Cody again in the future and highly recommend him for any photography needs! You can't and won't find a better photographer.

  The best photographer!

  We absolutely loved having Cody Raisig as our photographer. My fiancée and I are not great at making time to take photos and generally don’t love being in front of the camera. Cody made us feel so at ease throughout the entire day (both our wedding and our engagement pictures). He made sure he got a balance of natural “in the moment” photos for us, but still making time for traditional portraits for our families. For the portraits where we felt the most nervous, he made us feel comfortable by making us laugh and having us whisper silly things to each other. It made the experience fun instead of stressful! Cody caught all the little special moments like me giving my sister a thumbs up during our ceremony. Most importantly, he was able to keep us calm and find quick solutions when things didn’t go according to plan. When our planned portrait location in Central Park turned out to be blocked for another wedding, Cody negotiated with the Park staff to allow us to get all our photos in anyway. I cannot praise Cody enough!

  Amazing Photographer!

  Cody is a photography magician - we are SO incredibly happy with everything and could not recommend him more. He spent so much time talking to us before the wedding to get a sense of what we wanted and what was important to us and it shows in the photos! He made sure to get every photo that we wanted. He was also SO fast in getting photos to us. We left on our honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding and he sent us some teaser photos the following day so that we had them before we left (so thoughtful!), has sent us several more, and has even made us a teaser video with truly amazing photos within 3 week. There are so many beautiful photos it’s impossible to pick our favorites! He captured literally every single detail of our day so perfectly and it’s been amazing to re-live the day through his incredible photographs.

  Amazing Wedding Photographer

  Cody was the photographer at my wedding this past weekend and he was phenomenal. He was a huge help from the start - very responsive, organized, and really took the time to understand our vision and get to know my husband and me. The day was great - Cody was on time with his 2nd shooter and he was relaxed and really helped the whole day run smoothly. He was extremely prepared and took us to great locations for all the shots that we wanted. As my wedding was so recent I haven't gotten the full set of pictures yet but he sent me a few sneak peeks the next day and I was truly captured by their beauty. I cannot stop staring at them! Looking forward to seeing all of the rest and I'm sure I'll have an update to further rave about them.

  We loved every aspect of working with Cody on our wedding day. He spent the time to get to know us as a couple and exactly what we wanted from our photos in advance. He even managed to keep our large family on schedule the day of. The candid moments Cody captured are beyond stunning, and will keep us weeping tears of joy together for years to come. We could not be more pleased with Cody's work and recommend him the most highly to anyone looking for a phenomenal wedding photographer in the NY area.

We were initially drawn to him because of his natural photography style of capturing candid moments of emotion, and he did not disappoint day-of! If there's anything to splurge on for a wedding, it's photos (at least in my mind) and if you're gonna get the best, get Cody. Some of the best things about working with him:
  
  1) He has a great quality of being in the background when appropriate (first look, ceremony, dance floor) but also providing direction when needed (portraits). He somehow managed to wrangle our huge family into portraits (seriously, he was amazing). During the bridal party pictures, he would ask funny questions to get our candid reactions.
  2) He was a master at sticking to the schedule, and he is very reliable. He even sent us a few photos the day after the wedding, which was an unexpected surprise.
  3) The photos he sent us are absolutely amazing (and isn't that the main thing that matters?) I have never looked better in my life.

His photos feel really genuine rather than staged, which was important to us. He was well organized and arrived early for our ceremony and reception. And his turnaround time is incredible. We got the photos from our December wedding before friends with October weddings had received theirs. Our families really liked him as well. And onto the quality of his work - we couldn't be happier. We love so many of the photos that we keep going back to them to look again. The slideshow he put together makes it easy to share a few of the best pictures without overwhelming anyone with 400+ files. Wedding photography in NYC isn't cheap, but Cody is well worth his price tag. I would recommend him to anybody looking for beautiful, natural wedding photography.

  Cody is seriously the best photographer around. His work is truly amazing and I couldn't have asked for someone with a better personality to spend all evening with us. He made my husband and I so comfortable shooting portraits, all our photos came out incredible and he was totally flexible and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone who asked, he totally exceeded my expectations and sent over a wonderful video slideshow two weeks after the wedding as a sneak peek that was so great. Thank you so much for everything Cody- you are the best!!

  My wife and I hired Cody Raisig as our wedding photographer and could not be happier. When we first inquired about Cody we went to his office where he walked us through sample photos, spoke about his approach, and answered any questions we had. We loved the work Cody had done in the past and were on the same page as him regarding approach and style of photos. Leading up to our wedding, we spoke with him multiple times on what types of photos we wanted in our ten hour span together. He was always responsive and receptive, but also shared his opinion as the consummate photographer. We picked some pre-wedding photo spots, and Cody explored those spots prior to our wedding day to stake out exactly where we should take pictures. He then provided a detailed timeline of the different photos (groom & groomsmen getting ready, bride and bridesmaid getting ready, first look, bridal party photos, family photos, etc) and different locations. The big day came and it went off without a hitch. Cody was very professional and got exactly the photos we wanted, both formal/posed and “in the moment” pictures. Cody was exactly what we were looking for in a photographer, suggesting where and how to stand for posed photos, but not interfering with us enjoying the day. Two weeks after our wedding, we received about five photos and a video slideshow of pictures; and two weeks after that, Cody provided a link to download all of our photos and they truly looked great.
  
  After everything was said and done my wife and I kept saying how much fun our wedding was, but also how quickly the day went by. Realizing that over time we would forget the small things from our special day, our photos are one of the only things we took away from that day to help us remember. Overall Cody was great. We were very happy we hired Cody and are very satisfied with the photos.

  We worked with Cody for our wedding May 2016 in NYC. He was a pleasure to work with. His photos are gorgeous and all of them helped capture our wedding exactly the way we wanted it. From the day we signed our contract up until we received our photos Cody was available and happy to help or answer any of our questions.

  Cody is the best photographer a wedding couple could hope for! He combines the best of all worlds by making a potential stressful process for anxious brides easy and fun, while also creating a fantastic product that is super natural and beautiful. We found Cody through my Brother and Sister-In-Law when he photographed their wedding 3 years ago. My sister-in-law majored in photography and always had an eye for great talent. She searched for months to find the perfect photographer and instantly fell in love with Cody's portfolio. My husband and I loved their wedding photographs so much that it was an easy choice to choose Cody again. On my wedding day, Cody captured all the moments I wanted to remember, not just the gorgeous location, the dress, or the cake but the joy on my parents face as they prepared to walk me down the aisle and the look in my husband’s eye as we had our first dance. I also loved that during the reception you didn’t even feel Cody's presence yet he managed to capture every single moment during the party. We were lucky enough to get an amazing teaser from our wedding within 2 weeks and all the photographs within one month. We would recommend Cody in a heartbeat!

  It's very easy to give Cody 5 stars across the board. Cody flew across the country to shoot our Santa Monica, CA wedding. He surprised us by showing up at our wedding rehearsal simply to conduct his own research to scope out the place for ideal shots. Cody kept us laughing throughout the day, and I'm so happy my husband and I booked him to capture the best day of our lives. Our finished photos came out more spectacular than I could ever imagine. Thank you Cody!!!

We emotionally connected with his photos and instinctively knew he was the one! The way he captures a scene and the love and happiness between two people is an incredible talent.   Cody photographed my wedding last month and he exceeded our expectations with respect to professionalism, service and quality of end product. Cody helped us feel very comfortable, especially while my husband and I were being photographed on our own. He guided us in how we should pose and position ourselves without being overly pushy and without having our photographs come out staged and cheesy. It was really important for us to have pictures that were natural but still romantic. Cody delivered a beautiful end product in an expeditious manner. I truly could not have asked for more and will certainly recommend him to any friends or acquaintances in the future.

  Selecting the photographer was one of the most stressful decisions we faced while planning our wedding, but it went from stress-inducing to open-and-shut when we met Cody, as he cleared all of our selection criteria with room to spare. His prices are more than reasonable, he was able to establish a relaxed connection with us over email and Skype, and the high-quality of his photos was undeniable and immediately evident.
  
  On the Day-Of, Cody was prepared for any scenario. He had timetables for sunrise and sunset; he arrived early at our selected destinations to get familiar with the surroundings and plan out his shots; he had indoor spaces pre-selected in case of weather events; he prepared lists of our desired photos in advance so he could best prioritize his shots throughout the day; and he had the necessary gear to adapt to different lighting, angles, and even terrains. Despite Cody's laid back and conversational demeanor, he had no problem taking charge when needed to ensure we got all of the photos we wanted while staying on schedule. Cody was also great at putting us at ease - he kept the mood light and conversational to prevent us from 'over-posing' and he worked in ways to break up our photos so nothing felt forced or unnatural.
  
  And lastly, the end result was some pretty amazing photos. All of the above intangibles only compliment the fact that Cody is an inspiring photographer. He very clearly captured the essence of our day. He delivered us hundreds of engagement and wedding photos, as well as a slideshow containing a sneak peek of some favorites--all of which (putting aside our obvious biases) are truly fantastic images. When all was said and done, he made all of the photos easy for us to access and distribute to friends and family through a secure web portal.
  
  We couldn't have been happier with our decision. Cody is a gentleman, an artist, and a bargain. We hope you are able to secure him for your wedding; you will be glad that you did.

  I'm so grateful to have found Cody for our wedding photography. We met with three photographers when researching who to hire, and he was the most professional, the most friendly, and—most importantly—he had the best work. My fiancé wasn't interested in photographers AT ALL, but after our initial meeting Cody did the impossible and got him excited about wedding photography. The choice to hire Cody was easy; his work just speaks for itself. Fast forward one year later, and we just received our own gorgeous wedding photos (And only 2 weeks after our wedding, too! I don't know if that's the norm, but it's much appreciated.) On the day of, Cody arrived early, was dressed really well in a suit, and totally on point but also relaxed, nice, and efficient. He joked around with my bridesmaids and me as we got ready. He was direct about the shots he wanted but always polite when asking us to stand somewhere or hold a pose a certain way. He ran back and forth to capture a fantastic shot of the wedding party on a bridge from far away. We had a puppy party during our cocktail hour (!) and he got some adorable shots of them--not easy to take a photo of a hyper puppy. My husband ripped his pants on the dance floor, and he caught everyone's reaction (it was hilarious, don't worry). Finally, it was freezing outside that day, and I was worried the cold and discomfort might show on our faces in the photos, but everyone—bride, groom, wedding party, family, guests—looks amazing and happy. I know Cody also scoped out our venue a few weeks before the wedding to find spots to shoot, and so he knew exactly what he wanted and where the best locations were. We put a lot of love into our wedding, and Cody captured all of it. Do yourself a favor and book him.

  Cody photographed our wedding and also did our engagement shoot and all the pictures turned out amazing! Cody likes to capture candid and natural moments, which was exactly what I wanted for our big day. Of course, we did have to pose a lot but Cody made it feel very natural and not forced or cheesy. He is easy to work with and very responsive to his clients. We are very pleased that we hired him for our special day.

  My husband and I have a tendency to be a bit camera shy - especially when it comes to staged pictures. My goal in a photographer was to have someone that understood our personalities and make us feel comfortable behind the lens. Not only did Cody accomplish this, but he was able to capture moments that would've been otherwise missed. He was professional, diligent and creative. I wouldn't of wanted anyone else to have captured our wedding day.
