Alex Knight Studio is a New York wedding photography and film studio for modern romantics who want more than beautiful pictures. You want photographs that don't just show how your day looked, but how it felt: the quiet moment before the aisle, your father's hand on your shoulder, the dance floor long after midnight.

Our work is photojournalistic at heart. Real moments and honest emotion, never staged, refined by an editorial eye for light and composition. Alex and his team of photographers and cinematographers work side by side, so your photos and your film tell one story, captured calmly and without getting in the way.

Built on more than 1,000 weddings, our Manhattan experience runs from The Pierre, Gotham Hall and Cipriani Wall Street to Pier Sixty, the Mandarin Oriental, Tribeca Rooftop and The Bowery Hotel. We know the traditions of Jewish weddings, from the tisch and bedeken to the chuppah and the hora, and we plan your day around the moments that matter most to your family.

Our work has been featured in Brides, PartySlate, Carats & Cake and Smashing the Glass, and recognized with the Wedisson Award, the WedAward International Wedding Photography Award and the WeddingWire Couples' Choice Award.

Based in New York, we photograph and film weddings across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey, and travel wherever your story takes us.

Just fabulous!

If I could give Alex more than five stars I would. Alex & his team were an absolute JOY to work with, and I could not be happier with the final results!

I didn't realize this going in but you spend a good deal of time with your photographer on your wedding day, so it is important that you both like your team & their energy, as well as final photographs that they deliver. Alex delivered on all accounts. Alex is relaxed and great with all personality types (we have some big family personalities) and the final pictures came out beautifully.

The hardest thing about working with Alex was choosing the top 80 pictures for our album because there were so many good ones (truly). I could not be happier and will absolutely be working with him again for future big moments & celebrations!

Absolutely Exceptional Photographer

We hired Alex and his team for our wedding at Whitby Castle on April 23rd, 2022, I don't think I could recommend them more highly. Alex was extremely communicative throughout two wedding postponements for COVID. We used him for our engagement photoshoot in NYC, our backyard COVID wedding in May 2020 and for our most recent wedding. Each time he has done an exceptional job and capturing the moment so that we can savor it forever. His team was extremely professional but very fun (very important considering you spend so much time with them)! Alex took into account our own preferences regarding the style of the photography while making sure to capture each unique moment throughout the day. We now have a lifetime of memories to savor and it's all thanks to Alex!

BEST vendor of our wedding!

We could not be more obsessed with the level of service and finished photos/videos that Alex and his team provided leading up to and on our wedding day!! Everything from our first meeting to the engagement photoshoot to our intimate backyard wedding (thanks COVID...) was nothing short of impressive, professional, and the end results were absolutely beautiful. What we think was most special about Alex and his team was that they managed to get every shot that we were hoping for without being obtrusive or even noticed by us, our family, or friends. We have the perfect mix of getting ready photos, intimate couples pictures, celebratory shots before/after we tied the knot, ceremony action shots, and the brief after party we were able to have - and this was just with 4 hours of service. If you are looking for someone who knows what he's doing, is unafraid to tell you how to pose or look to get the perfect shot, and will be in constant communication throughout the process from start to end, this is your guy!! We couldn't recommend him more and can't wait to work with him and his full team again for our full wedding reception + religious ceremony this coming February!

Above and Beyond our Expectations

Alex and his team were phenomenal. My wife and I just got back from visiting family for the holidays and they are still talking about how much they loved Alex and his team. Alex, Vlad and the team drove to upstate NY to capture our day! Since my wife and I live in NC, we had not met Alex before our wedding day but that was not an issue at all because he arrived early to learn who was in our family and bridal party. This allowed him to get all of our must-have pictures. Even though our day has passed, Alex continues to be extremely responsive. On Christmas, we were having difficulty accessing our video to show to family so we email Alex, not expecting a response...it was Christmas day. Within 5 minutes Alex responded with our video links so that we could share with family. Many of our friends have gotten engaged in the last several weeks and we are recommending Alex to all of them.

Best company!

Alex and his team were amazing the day of our wedding! They were fun, creative and made everyone comfortable. People have been raving about our engagement and wedding photos. I can’t say enough great things about them! Probably the best vendor we had for our wedding! I would recommend them without a doubt and have already recommended them to multiple friends who have used them as well.

Amazing Wedding and Post-Wedding Shoot Experience

Alex really went above and beyond what we expected from our wedding photographer. He took care of everything for us! He was so transparent and easy to work with!

My wife and I always say that we don't like to take pictures but he made it so much fun during the reception and then we did a Post Wedding shoot in Central Park that was incredible!

Our guests loved his photo booth. We highly recommend !

Intimate wedding

My husband and I recently had Alex capture our small wedding in Central Park NY. We were both immediately impressed by his professionalism and flexibility. Alex’s talent was truly boasted as he took shot after shot capturing our wedding while avoiding the crowd in the busy public area. About an hour after the wedding and in new attire, my husband and I met Alex at Chelsea Pier 61 to take more shots before our reception. His inner and professional artist shined through as he found the best locations, lighting, and poses for us.
End your search here because Alex is hands down the best. 10/10!

My now Husband and I searched nearly 6 months for a wedding photographer and videographer and while we met many great teams no one quite understood our vision like Alex. From the moment we left our initial appointment we knew we'd found our wedding photo and video team. Alex takes the time to answer all your questions, understand your vision and at the end of the day truly captures the love between two people. Words cannot express how beautifully Alex and his team captured our wedding day, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He captured photos of moments we didn't even know happened and got some of the most amazing candid photos of our day. Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how amazing our photo/video team was, they were everywhere, capturing everything. Vlad has an eye for cinematography, his vision is truly creative and unlike anything we've seen before. We can't express enough gratitude and thanks to Alex, Vlad and the entire team at Alex Knight Studio they made our day even better than we imagined. Book this team, you won't be disappointed.
