  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley Garmon Photographers! When we met Ashley at our engagement photo session, her ease and humor made us feel completely comfortable, and the shots she captured were fantastic. We were so excited to use them in our wedding website and Save the Dates, and love having them framed as well. For the wedding itself, Ashley and her team were great with all the bridal party and guests and made everything, from the getting ready photos to portraits to the reception exit, fun and easy. Then when we got the photos, we were absolutely blown away by them. They were truly gorgeous, with so many types of photo too: candid, formal, color, b&w. We got to relive the night, and see so many moments we missed. We really treasure them. Thank you, Ashley!!

  You can tell from the start that Ashley is great at her job.
  
  Our wedding ran on a pretty tight schedule, so we had very little time after the ceremony to get the photos done. Not only was she super organized in making sure everything got checked off, but she is also just so much fun to be around. I think that makes a huge difference. Having someone shuffle you around for any number of photographs can get old, but Ashley makes it lighthearted and fun. I had a number of the wedding party tell me how much they liked working with her.
  
  She's also calm, cool, and collected and never too "in your face". I was confident that she was getting good shots all night without ever feeling like the paparazzi were let loose in the room.
  
  In addition to all the day-of compliments, Ashley is also just a darn-good photographer. She captures more than the standard wedding moments, so you can rest assured you'll have all your bases covered. The posed, formal photographs are there, but she also makes sure to capture those unique moments that make the night special to you. She also makes beautiful keepsake books that go above and beyond what other photographers offer.

  We loved Ashley! She is a true professional and a great person to have around on a day like your wedding day. She was so calm (despite looming storm clouds), very good at directing family & friends when needed and was perfectly "hidden" for a photographer. I've been to weddings where you can't see what's going on because the photographer has literally imposed themselves in front of the action and distracting from the moment. We barely even realized Ashley and her second shooter were there - which is how it should be! The photos are such amazing quality and very varied - not the same photo over and over, and pictures of many different guests from the wedding. They also captured the "feeling"of our wedding and not just pictures of my shoes hanging from a chandelier or our wedding bands positioned in various locations. The pictures were more about the people, the celebration and the good times had that day. Thank you, Ashley!

  Ashley and her wonderful – and very talented – team made our wedding day complete! The weather wasn’t cooperating so well and it was freezing, but you wouldn’t have known it by the way that Ashley handled it – as well as our HUGE (30+) wedding party – with ease, professionalism and a brilliant sense of humor. She is extremely creative, has exceptional taste and is so knowledgeable and skilled in her craft – there is honestly no one I would have rather worked with for our wedding. She shot every detail and captured every moment, all while keeping us on schedule. Our families and everyone in our wedding party also commented on how great it was to work with Ashley. I couldn’t be happier with her work and I would highly recommend Ashley Garmon Photographers! Thank you, Ashley (and your team), for helping to make our wedding absolutely perfect!!!

  I had a great experience with Ashley Garmon Photographers at my wedding! I feel the need to post about Ashley and her staff not only because I think she is probably the most talented photographer in ATX ... but I just read a mediocre review on this site that was in TOTAL contradiction to what I experienced myself.
  I found Ashley to be extremely professional and organized. This is essential for a wedding photographer as everything else around you will be totally overwhelming! Ashley was directive and efficient at getting all of our family portraits done, while being super fun, funny, and spunky during our "couple" shoots. It was so easy working with her and she made it feel like no big deal to be in front of a camera on such an important day in your life.
  I've gotten so many amazing compliments on my wedding photos! They are beautiful, spontaneous, thoughtful, artistic. I would personally recommend Ashley to anyone who wants quality wedding photography.

  I am an artist/photographer myself so trying to find someone to capture our MOMENTOUS DAY in an artistic way that I would love and cherish forever I thought was going to be a very tall order to fill. Ashley Garmon more than filled that order. I have zero complaints just praise. She seemed very excited to be sharing our day with us, was very comfortable to be around, directed everyone in the group shots seamlessly ( which is a hard feat to do in my family!) and after it was all said and done created such a beautiful artistic document of the ceremony, our love and family that I will have forever. I"m so glad that we found her! Short and sweet- she was fantastic. If my mom has no complaints then she is doing something very close to perfect. Seriously.

  Overall, Ashley produces decent portraits, but we didn't see much of the photojournalism in the final product that she sold us on.
  
  Ashley was creative in setting up portraits, but she was not very good at organizing or motivating the people IN the portraits. For the group pictures, for example, she had a hard time letting everyone know what pictures were happening and people didn't know where to go. When she tried to direct everyone to another setting, she exclaimed in frustration when people unwittingly went in the wrong direction, and it added a totally unnecessary stress to the proceedings.
  
  For our bride and groom portraits, it was hard to smile and relax with Ashley's quick, terse direction. I'm usually at ease in front of a camera, but with the wedding day costuming and having to hold a bouquet, Ashley's style only made me feel even less comfortable. Also uncomfortable was the fact that I knew the groom was even less at ease in front of a camera and that he was struggling with Ashley's quick, unfocused direction. (When the groom and I were visibly uncomfortable for our informal, "relaxed" pictures, her main attempt to motivate us was the snarky comment, "Ok, now try to pose...you know, act like you're getting married.")
