  I knew I wanted Alea at my wedding from the start. I have followed her blog and watched number pus brides get married through her beautiful pictures. With most photographers I'm used to a few awesome pictures and a few that are just so-so. With Alea I started noticing a trend that I literally liked every picture from every wedding she posted. I was so excited when she was open on our wedding day! I never had a chance to meet alea (due to my schedule) before the wedding. But when she walked in the day of my wedding it was like hanging out with an old friend! She was so calm and fun and sweet. Everyone in my wedding party loved her. I felt very at ease. Two days after my wedding I was on a plane to Spain and looked up her blog to see if there were any 'sneak peek' pictures and she had already finished all of the pictures! I could not be happier with my experience. Besides my venue alea was the most expensive thing I paid for wedding wise. But I don't regret it for a minute. Thank you thank you thank you alea for making my big day that much more special and for giving me the gift of beautiful memories long after I've forgotten!!

  Not only should this photographer be your first choice, she should be your only choice. Alea is as sweet and amazing in person as the art she creates. She is not just a vendor for your wedding, she becomes your advocate, your visionary and your story teller. It isn't possible to articulate what it is you want until you realize she got it. She was always available to answer my silly questions and when I asked to try something she did, even if it didn't work out, which a few didn't.
  Strangers of mine and my husband's parents at work have complimented these photos with things like "I feel like I know this couple!" and "It looks like they are so in love!" My single friend's parents want to book her! To say she is worth every penny, is a disservice to what she does and what you'll get. Hands down.

  Alea is a vendor you MUST have on your list for your wedding day. We can't say enough good things about her, not only personally, but as a professional photographer as well. Alea is dedicated, organized and super friendly, however, she is also a photographer who understands timing and lighting, which are two key ingredients in a fantastic wedding photographer. Her compositions are absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed how personal Alea was with us and our family and friends... we've made a new friend of our own!

  I used Alea for our engagement shoot in New York City. She (and her husband) were so great to work with, AND I'd hang out with them even if we weren't conducting business! My fiance and I never had our photographs taken, so she was patient with us in giving direction and guiding us through the process. She had some very unique ideas that my fiance and I weren't sure about (i.e., standing in the middle of a pedestrian crossing and kissing while cars went by), but we trusted, and we did it, and it was entirely worth it! Highly recommend.

  Alea was a gem and meshed so easily with all our family and guests over an entire weekend of destination wedding events. The photos were beautiful, and she captured many priceless moments. Despite weather and transport glitches, she was always positive, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. She did a lovely job.

  Alea & Piotr were about the most accommodating, kind, truly professional folks we worked with on our wedding day. And not only on wedding day, but throughout the planning process; they were just instrumental in making things great. Both my wife & I were careful to hire someone we trusted & jived well with for our photographer, since we knew they would be our shadows for the better part of wedding day, and Alea & Piotr fit the bill better than anyone else could have. And then the photos themselves - timeless, beautiful, & classic. Just hire them.

  Having Alea shoot our wedding was the best wedding decisions we made. She is professional, friendly and a joy to be around. Alea is a true artist and her work speaks for itself. If we had enough wall space we would frame every picture she took. I recommend Alea to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I absolutely love our wedding film - you can tell that Alea put her heart in it. She gave us the incredible gift of being able to relive the most beautiful day of our lives.   I am so lucky to have discovered Alea through a rather serendipitous route as one of my bridesmaids has a friend who is a wedding photographer! She was unavailable to shoot my wedding, but she referred me to Alea Lovely, since they were friends on an online forum for female wedding photographers who shoot in film. I learned that not all photographers have this skill, in fact the majority shoot in digital only, so ask around. Alea was amazingly able to capture *light and love* in our photos, in the spaces between those all those posed photos family members want! When we look back at our stunning wedding photos, we are immediately taken back to the moment, which she captured beautifully. She shot our wedding the weekend of 9/15/12 in St. Louis, Missouri. Alea herself has a sparkling and warm personality, she is smart and professional (she is able to reign in family that won't stay in one spot), and she is absolutely passionate about what she does. Her second shooter was also a lovely lady. In fact, we loved her so much (and I think the feeling was mutual), that she shot our second destination wedding in Tulum, Mexico on 10/14/12, with her hubby as second shooter! Everyone who has seen our photos as commented on the quality of her work and her vision, and the entire wedding party loved having her as part of the company. In fact, her work is earning us a spot in a national bridal magazine in the near future! We were also featured on a popular online wedding blog! Trust me, she will do an amazing job! I LOVE Alea Lovely, she rocks!

  My husband and I LOVED all of our photos we got from Alea. We got them while we were on our honeymoon still, and were so shocked they were ready well before we even got back to see them! We loved every moment, every memory. Alea and her second photographer were amazing and so much fun during our wedding day. They made us feel so comfortable and the photos look so gorgeous.
  
  The wedding venue itself was gorgeous, but the surrounding area didn't have a ton of super pretty areas because it was in the middle of a really old neighborhood and Alea found perfect places to take photos of us. We love our photos more than we can describe, Alea's absolutely hands down the best out there!

  Alea Lovely Photography was absolutely wonderful for our wedding. Alea and her assistant were prompt, polite, and captured each moment perfectly.   Alea is THE most professional photographer in Kansas City. She is reliable and her work is top quality. We had our wedding pictures a week and a half after the wedding. She is an artist.

  My husband and I celebrated our 4th anniversary this year, and I'm going BACK to write this review. Why after all this time? Because I still flip through my wedding photos full of joy and appreciation for the work she did. It is easy to see that Alea's work is phenomenal, but what you can't know from her portfolio is how approachable and centered she is. If there was a way to shake Alea's professionalism, our non-traditional wedding would have done it. Instead, she embraced the day as a reflection of who my husband and I were and the life we wanted to live together. THIS is the type of person you want capturing the intimate, genuine, and fragile moments at the start of your new life. You are not just hiring a photographer for your wedding, you are hiring a documentarian. If you choose Alea, you can trust that she will calmly, warmly, and skillfully capture the moments you will want to remember the rest of your life.

  Alea Lovely was so great to work with! She came to the house promptly the morning of the wedding and was a delight to shoot with. Her husband was her second shooter for the day and got along well with my groom and his groomsmen. They were awesome during the ceremony; my husband and I didn't even notice that they were taking pictures while we were getting married! The last thing you want as a bride is to be distracted by pictures while you're trying to concentrate on your husband, and I didn't even realize they were there. They were very professional and organized, and I'd recommend Alea Lovely to anyone!

  Alea came highly recommended by family friends, and we were so lucky to have her photograph our wedding. She emailed us the images while we were still on our honeymoon, and the images were absolutely stunning. Not only did Alea take beautiful pictures, she also helped us set up a schedule for the day and gave us helpful hints for planning our wedding. Alea is definitely who you want beside you on your big day. She is professional, friendly, and calm in the most stressful of situations.

  In discussing our wedding with married friends two couples shared that they wished they would have hired a videographer rather than depending on home videos. We took their advice and invested in Alea's services. Having received our highlight video we can say that we are ecstatic with our investment. This video and the full video to come will be cherished items in our family for decades. Alea has an uncanny ability to capture the details and moments that matter most to a couple and then frame them in a movie in a stellar way. She is very professional leading up to the wedding and will respond to inquiries quickly. She and her assistant are very easy to work with on the wedding day. They definitely do not add to the stress of the day as some vendors do. This vendor is a sound investment. The wedding video is something that can be shaky, blurry and blah or something that can capture the entire essence of the day. You can't go back to capture the day after it is over and once you have Alea's version of it you'll be so happy you chose her to capture it for you.

  Alea is simply amazing. Her work speaks for itself, but she is even better once you meet her and get to know how much she cares about you and making your video beautiful. She is recommended by me and all my family and friends who have watched our "highlight" video. I get compliments everyday-- over a month after our wedding :)

  The video is a treasure. It is priceless to own and watch a video of your special event. I cry everytime I watch it. Alea Lovely is truly talented. The whole process is amazing to watch.   My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Alea...our engagement and wedding photos were perfect and she was so easy to work with. I was especially happy with how quickly our wedding photos were ready for us....we received them before we even returned from our honeymoon!
