We first found Carmen's Country Inn & Gardens on Zola and we reached out through there. Cathy was immediately responsive. She sent us the pricing pamphlets and menu packages and shortly after that we set up a time to come see the venue and discuss things in person. When we met, we IMMEDIATELY fell in love with the place and knew that this was where we wanted to be married. It was the first and only venue that we looked at. SO much was included and the price was unbeatable. THERE'S NO CHARGE FOR USING THE VENUE. Yeah, you read that right. You are basically only paying for the price per meal/person and you get SO MUCH!! We couldn't believe it. There are so many menu packages to choose from and you really can't make a wrong choice when picking one. We went with Platter Service Style B with an extra entree and an open bar. Each package had so many delicious options to choose from but after much discussion, we were able to narrow it down. We went with the Top Round Roast Beef in Au Jus, Chicken Francaise, and Cavatelli Marinara. When we went to our tasting, we were absolutely blown away by the quality and flavors of the food! All three were phenomenal! We also chose the Mini Crab Cakes, Rolled Turkey and Bacon Jalapeno Poppers Chicken Tenders, and the Filet Mignon Brochettes for hors d'oeuvres. We didn't taste those before the wedding but they were also delicious! During our taste testing, we were able to pick out the design and flavor of our cake. YES, THE CAKE IS INCLUDED!! Unbelievable, right? Well, believe it! We chose the "Carmen's Love" design with chocolate cake. That was such a huge savings in itself. We chose to have our ceremony and reception at the venue. Our ceremony was outside under the big pavilion with cocktail hour outside to follow. There is an outdoor bar area under a separate pavilion right next to the big one. That was where the hors d'oeuvres were served to our guests along with drinks served at the outside bar. Inside for the reception, all tables, chairs, linens (you choose the colors), silverware, and dishware are all provided and set up for you before the wedding. If you wanted to bring more decorations of your own, you can but you are responsible for setting them out and cleaning them up at the end of the night. The venue doesn't really need decorations because it is beautiful the way it is, but for our wedding we put out a lot of things to match our colors and theme. We were able to set everything up the night before the wedding at our rehearsal. Now let's talk about photos. Carmen's Country Inn & Gardens is like a magical fairy garden with fountains, waterfalls, beautiful landscapes, and so many different plants, flowers, and trees. We got married on October 25, 2025 and the colors of the leaves were so vibrant and warm. The outside was decorated beautifully with pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales, and mums. We didn't need to bring or add anything! It was better than we could've even imagined. During the big day, Cathy is there with you at every step to make sure things stay on track and go flawlessly for you. She told me that being with the bride and groom on their wedding day is her passion and it is the thing she loves most about what she does. Cathy is amazing. She really makes sure that you are taken care of fully and she knows EXACTLY what she's doing and how things should go. I was totally clueless about a lot of things and Cathy answered all of my questions and eased all of my nerves every step of the way. If you took the time to read this far, you are hopefully convinced that Carmen's Country Inn & Gardens is the perfect venue for your wedding day. I PROMISE that you will be so happy with this choice! You will have so many beautiful pictures to remember your special day and you will be able to think back and remember all the little things that made the day so incredible. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Carmen's for anyone planning their wedding, not only because of the price and the beauty of the venue, but because of the quality, care, and attention that Cathy makes sure to provide to EVERY couple that reaches out to her.

The event coordinators are easy to communicate with, very responsive to emails/texts, and very helpful in the planning process! We were also allowed to have our dogs a part of the day, which was really important to us! They made everything so easy, and I walked into each event feeling ready and prepared! They also include everything in their prices, so there are no surprises with what you will be paying at the end. They sent multiple estimates so we could decide which package fit our budget and our wants. They are always available for meetings or questions as well! If I had to do it all over, I would still choose Edgewood because of the the positive experiences we had! I would recommend this venue to anyone because of how easy they made the process! I would definitely go back for future events as well!
