Banquet Hall Wedding Venues in Ohio

Tangier was a dream come true!! We found it somehow through Facebook on a northeast Ohio bride group. We talked with Angelica and from day 1 she was extremely helpful and flexible with us in terms of time for meeting and giving us the freedom to do things we wanted such as our interfaith wedding, doing the Nageela Hava tradition, allowing my mother in law to do all decorations, bringing our own backdrop and ring light, doing our own order of how events at reception flowed, and letting my brother in law bring his sound system for DJing, bringing baked goods from our friends, and letting me and my 9 bridesmaids get ready in the venue bathrooms the day of and bringing our own food and coffee for the bridesmaids. She went above and beyond and was so kind and made sure we had everything we wanted. Tangier is a gorgeous venue, spacious, with beautiful bathrooms, beautiful ceiling chandeliers, beautiful terrace outside for pictures too. The food was delicious and our guests are still talking about it! Everything was such high quality and affordable for our budget. My guests loved the bar tenders and drinks as well! Everyone loved the space and kept asking how we found Tangier. I can’t imagine having had our wedding anywhere else! We got married on a Sunday afternoon and did our ceremony outside and reception inside. It was all very comfortable and flowed beautifully. Angelica was also our wedding coordinator. I’m so in awe of everything she did for us and beyond grateful for her kindness and care. She made sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and more. I recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! It is a hidden gem!! There are many hotels nearby and ample parking, large beautiful bathrooms, and handicapped accessible. The food is phenomenal and the space beautiful! Angelica is dedicated and professional and very experienced at the work she does! My wedding was stress free and magical! Thank you Angelica!!

Communication with the vendor were always timely and professional. Everything with our wedding day ran smoothly and just as expected. The venue itself is beautiful and made decorating so easy! Could not be happier with the service we received at Doc's Dance Hall and Event Center!

The manager and staff were attentive to every detail and had many great suggestions for personalizing our space. The wait staff was well prepared and checked in on us frequently to make sure we were happy. We used the upstairs room and breezy outdoor patio to create our wedding chapel, a intimate formal dinner area with Tuscany style family seating, and a party dance floor. Sound system piped in our playlist. The table was set beautifully. I highly recommend this venue.

We used McHales for the catering for our wedding that we held in Cincinnati June 2023. The food was incredible. We got sun dried tomato stuffed chicken which was the star of the food, but everything was so good. We had a buffet and they did a great job all together from planning, tasting, choosing our menu and everything on the day of.

Our wedding was 2 years in the making because of health concerns and Kylee was there every step of the way up to the wedding making sure it was perfect and she was there every step the day of the wedding . She’s truly more than just the owner of holland gardens . She does it all ! , She’s a friend to us at this point and our wedding would have been perfect without her and her staff . I can’t recommend HG enough !

My fiance and I fell in love with the venue, booked it immediately, and cancelled our other meetings. Brookshire is elegant and simple, with a great balance of nature and modern decor, which suited our taste perfectly. The staff, especially Hannah, has been amazing to work with. They are extremely responsive to questions and never made me feel that any inquiry or request was bothersome or not worthy of their time. The Brookshire partner vendors for catering, DJ services, cake, and bartending also did an amazing job. The day of the wedding ran smoothly, with Hannah making sure every detail was covered. Jenna and Emily were also extremely helpful. All of them checked on us throughout the night to see what we needed. I couldn't be happier with the amount of professionalism, kindness, and support we received from Brookshire. They truly made us feel special on such an important day!

The Madison Event Center was absolutely wonderful for our wedding venue! We felt like we got on a personal basis with Zoe and Riley. They helped us book our venue and showed us plenty of different halls between Hotel Covington and Madison Center. They were also very transparent about their prices and showed us how much each hall would be depending on how many people we could have. They even printed off all the pricing. Compared to other wedding venues; this is the most transparent upfront pricing I’ve gotten so far and we have toured 5 different venues. If you book with the Madison center you will most likely not need a day of coordinator as they assign you someone that plans the whole day for you ahead of time and that was Riley. She was very detailed, concise, and extremely helpful. The day of the wedding they provided us with captains that basically run the show for the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. We were extremely impressed with how professional they were on our wedding day. We seriously cannot thank them enough for making this absolutely the best day of our lives. Myself, the bride, got sick at the reception and they were extremely helpful and flexible with the timeline being out of wack. It’s been 3 months since the wedding and anytime I talk about our wedding day I don’t shut up about how seriously amazing our wedding day went due to The Madison Center and their crew. We can’t thank you guys enough for making our day so special. Also - the halls are beautiful. We picked the Grande Ballroom for the reception and the Loft for our ceremony and it’s such a classic elegant wedding. But all their rooms are beautiful in their own way! If you can dream it, Madison Center can do it. Thank you Madison Event Center.

If you are questioning whether to pick the Makoy or not for your big day, DO IT!!! We had our wedding reception in The Emerald Room on 7/19/2025 and it was, simply put, the best day of our lives and that was in large part thanks to Matt Eder, Erin Pearson, and their team at the Makoy! From the day we met them when we were touring the venue, they were some of the most personable, accommodating, easy to talk to, and easy to work with people we've ever met! We knew immediately after we walked out the day that there was no other place to have our wedding other than the Makoy. We had ~250 people at our reception and our guests were raving about the fast service, both for plated food and at the bar, large portion sizes, and beautiful decorations and setup at the Makoy. Not only that, but throughout the wedding planning process, Matt was able to answer all of my millions of emails with questions in HOURS! We just can't say enough about how amazing the Makoy is and their staff there. Pick the Makoy for your big day, you won't regret it!

I cannot say enough good things about Receptions! I worked with Kristina throughout the planning process, and had Kristy as my day of captain. They took amazing care of us throughout our entire journey. Our wedding day was perfect, and I wouldn’t have had my wedding anywhere else if I had to do it again.
