Cumminghams Crosswind Meadows is a barn and farm wedding venue located in Minerva, Ohio.

The Story Behind Crosswind Meadows begins in 1969, when Ryan Cunningham’s family built a small hobby barn for the children’s horses. For more than five decades, it held farm animals, including a spirited pony named Tina. As the barn aged, Ryan could not bear to see that part of his family’s history disappear. Ryan and Jayme dreamed of giving the barn a new purpose: a place for weddings, birthdays, graduations, celebrations of life, and time together. With the help of a longtime friend, they dismantled it and reused its wood, doors, gates, and even its one window inside the hangar where Ryan’s grandfather, pilot Murray Cunningham, had spent so much of his time. Aviation memorabilia honors Murray there, while the barn’s original pieces carry the family’s history into every new celebration. What began with Ryan’s family grew into a dream shared by two families. Jayme and Brandie are cousins, and Chuck and Ryan have been lifelong friends. When Chuck and Brandie married, that friendship became family, too. Together, Ryan, Jayme, Chuck, and Brandie shared the vision, challenges, victories, and countless hours of work that transformed the old barn and hangar into Crosswind Meadows. There were long days, late nights, heavy lifting, difficult decisions, and moments when all we had was faith in what this place could become. Through every step, we stood shoulder to shoulder. Crosswind Meadows is more than a business. It is a reflection of two families who believed that hard work, determination, faith, and love could turn an impossible dream into a beautiful reality. Every wedding held here, every family celebration, every laugh around the fire, every sunset over the meadow, and every guest who leaves with a smile becomes part of the story we continue to write together. Today, Ryan, Jayme, Chuck, and Brandie are proud to welcome every guest to a place built side by side, with pieces of its past still woven into it—a place where other families can celebrate life’s biggest moments and create lasting memories of their own.
