Hillcrest Orchards is a country barn and farm wedding venue in Henrietta township, close to Amherst, Ohio. Set on a 90-acre apple orchard, the historic barn has been renovated to host couples' special occasions. With pavilions and a patio area, to-be-weds and their guests may anticipate a truly remarkable day in country surroundings.

Facilities and Capacity

This country property is a working farm, currently operating with members of a family's fourth and fifth generations. This farm was purchased in 1928 when the Dodd family moved from their previous orchard in Bay Village, Ohio. This beautiful locale can readily accommodate indoor as well as outdoor events. Whether a couple wants to wed beneath the open sky or in a covered area, they will be welcome to do so in this rural setting. The barn can host up to 160 guests. Additionally, two 24-foot by 32-foot pavilions and a patio area overlook the pond surrounded by 5,000 apple trees. Wheelchair-accessible features and parking spaces add more convenience and comfort for all guests.

Services Offered

Hillcrest Orchards hosts wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. This venue's staff offers setup and cleanup for festivities as well as the use of the Bridal Suite, tables, chairs, furniture, and table settings. This venue is seasonal operating from May through October, with peak season in September and October. A full-time event manager is available to see to all your needs when planning a wedding at our farm.

Cuisine

Hillcrest Orchards has partnered with Gourmet Guy as our exclusive caterer. Seasoned veterans of the wedding business themselves they are prepared to create the perfect menu for your big day, including hors d'oeuvres, grazing stations, and plated or buffet mains. Tasting sessions are available prior to a wedding day in order to ensure complete satisfaction. Hillcrest Orchards holds a full liquor license and has several alcohol packages to choose from. Additionally, experienced bartenders are on staff and ready to work your event.

Gorgeous barn/orchard venue, family owned and inclusive!

This is a little gem on the west side of Cleveland! We LOVED the barn/orchard setting. It is family owned, and they put a lot of care into their business. We really appreciated that many services were included with this venue, making our lives a lot easier. On top of being naturally beautiful, the food is amazing!
Pros:
- Catering/bar, service staff, tables/chairs, ceremony, and coordination of these are all included/available
- Easy contact with venue coordinators and very accommodating, even with small details
- Excellent food, great value
- Indoor barn space and outdoor patio, which is very nice for guests who would rather visit instead of dance
Cons:
- Limited hotels near venue (1 or 2 within 10 min, most ~20 min)
- Uber/Lyft can be unreliable due to being in the country (typical for a barn setting, should just warn guests to plan transportation ahead of time!)

10/10 Would Recommend!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding! From start to finish, the staff was beyond accommodating and helpful with every little detail. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and provided everything we needed and making the entire process stress-free! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and the service was top-notch. We’re so thankful for their kindness and professionalism and would recommend them to absolutely anyone planning a wedding!

Best day at the best venue!!!

We had the best experience with Hillcrest for our wedding from the start! They were transparent about pricing and readily available to answer any of our questions throughout the entire process. I was expecting wedding planning to be much more stressful than it was, but they were so organized and just made everything so easy. The day itself was perfect: the grounds were beautiful and made for great pictures, the staff couldn't have been kinder or more on top of things, and no one could shut up about the food (we had a vegetarian menu which some people didn't like the idea of at first, but everyone was raving about the the food by the end!). Highly worth mentioning that the entire staff was super welcoming and inclusive (we are two brides). We really had the best time and can't recommend Hillcrest enough!

Incredible!

My husband and I got married here in July of 2020. From seeing the venue and setting the date, to planning catering and details, to the day of the wedding, Diane and Lindsay were genuine and incredible to work with. Everything was taken care of and our wedding was amazing. We could not be more thankful!

Breathtakingly Beautiful Wedding, October 2020

My husband and I cannot say enough incredible things about Lindsay McGuire, Diane Dodd, Chef, and the entire staff at Hillcrest Orchards. We planned our October Ohio wedding from Los Angeles all during the time of COVID. Lindsay was attentive, professional, and worked with us and the COVID guidelines set in place by the state to make sure we still managed to have the wedding of our dreams. We dropped off our decorations the morning of the wedding reception for her staff to set up and she flawlessly executed our requests. My husband and I were asked multiple times by staff members if we needed anything; We were even delivered our next round of drinks without any sort of prompting. We enjoyed private hayrides out into the orchard to pick apples with our guests, and the fire pits were lit as soon as dusk hit. Our family raved about how stunning the grounds were, how romantic the barn was, how delicious the food was (get the goat cheese mac n cheese and the apple cider donuts, they DO NOT disappoint)... We heard on multiple occasions that it was the best wedding our guests had ever attended. We are simply speechless - I could genuinely go on and on and on about how much I recommend their services and their venue for ANY event. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Lindsay, Diane, Chef, and the entire Hillcrest Staff for a stunningly beautiful day; We cannot wait to make a yearly pilgrimage from LA to the orchard and relive this day over and over again.

Our Perfect Day

My wife and I recently got married at Hillcrest Orchards and it was beyond perfect. We knew we wanted an outdoor barn venue for our wedding and I’m so happy we found Hillcrest. It is a hidden gem. Lindsay, Diane and Kevin were all so helpful throughout the whole process. Our biggest concern when it came to finding a venue was staying within budget and they worked with us every step of the way to help us accomplish that. We had our ceremony and reception there, which made the whole event a breeze. We went from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception without skipping a beat. Lindsay is absolutely amazing with her attention to detail and keeping everything on schedule. Weddings are hectic, but she made the entire day run smoothly from beginning to end. The venue was gorgeous, the staff was amazing, the food was hands down the best food we have ever had at a wedding. Everyone we talked to had nothing but great things to say about the venue, staff, food and drinks. It was everything we could have asked for and more. We highly recommend Hillcrest Orchards. You will not be disappointed! We cannot wait to go back!!

Amazing Experience and Amazing People

We had our wedding here in the Fall and we cannot say enough amazing things about the whole experience! Our guests could not stop RAVING about the food, and neither could we. Kevin worked with us to create a completely unique menu for our event and gave us his suggestions as well. He was able to work with my husbands food allergies (gluten, dairy, soy to name a few) and it was such a relief for us to know that my husband could enjoy all the food at our wedding. Lindsay was FREAKING AMAZING. She coordinated every last detail of our day and was available for my endless amount of questions. They are such a great team, and we cannot say enough good things about them! Please go eat their food, I still have dreams about the Mac N' Cheese and it's been 5 months. I can't wait to spend the summers on the patio with their own hard ciders and great food!

Our wedding was everything and more !! Perfect is not even the word .. the venue was awesome and the staff was even better!! Lindsay and diane made the experience so perfect for me !!! We had so many compliments from our wedding!! We used there caterer and we were told it was the best food they ever had at a wedding and I agree!!!! I would highly reccomend using hillcrest orchard and there caterer for your wedding!!!! You would not be disappointed! 5 stars just isn't enough ! Thank you so much!!

Loved this venue for our September wedding!

We had our September wedding at Hillcrest and it was amazing! The food was to DIE for. I still have guests talking about the menu. Everything cooked perfectly and served hot. The venue is gorgeous for a wedding. I loved taking pictures in the apple orchard as well as a sunflower field. Staff was wonderful during our event. Lindsay was really easy to work with and I always felt comfortable reaching out to her with any questions I had. I can’t gush enough about Hillcrest!! 10/10 would recommend for ANY party or gathering.
