Museum Wedding Venues in Cleveland

We had our wedding reception at CMNH and cannot recommend it enough as a special-event space! We got so much overwhelming feedback from our guests saying it was the coolest wedding they've ever been to, and it's all thanks to the museum. The newly renovated event space is modern and gorgeous, and there was plenty of room for 200 guests, a DJ, a dancefloor, an open bar, a photo booth, welcome tables, etc. In addition, our guests absolutely LOVED being able to see all of the exhibits and eat next to a dinosaur skeleton! The special event team at CMNH is kind, responsive, and phenomenal to work with, and they made our night completely stress-free. They also gave us so many amazing, unexpected options, such as light rentals, bringing out live animals during our cocktail hour, and offering custom planetarium shows for our guests. In addition, the museum's catering company, Levy, provided absolutely delicious food options for everything from hors d'oeuvres, to dinner, to a donut dessert bar, to late-night snacks, and we and our guests were wowed by the quality of everything they ate. We cannot recommend CMNH enough, especially for future bride/grooms looking to get away from the norm and offer their guests something TRULY fun and unforgettable!

As a 2020 bride, I obviously had a lot of stress and constant changes surrounding my wedding, however the Science Center was incredibly amazing at helping with everything, easing my concerns, and working with me to adjust things along the way. I was able to change my wedding date from June to September, then significantly change the guest list and plans for the day. I also never got a chance to do a tasting or see the venue again before the rehearsal, but I didn’t need to because everything was perfect. We dropped off boxes of decorations ahead of time and the staff set everything up for us, the ceremony outside on the balcony was beautiful and the guests had an absolute blast playing with things at the cocktail hour. Then the caterer worked with us to develop our own custom “Cleveland” menu which was so delicious, and both the Science Center and catering staff were so attentive to Covid restrictions and keeping guests spaced apart and safe. I would highly recommend the Science Center as a super fun wedding event space with great help all along the way!!!

My husband and I decided to have a very small wedding, and we honestly couldn’t have picked a better venue. Angel treated our day with the same care and importance as a huge event. She found thoughtful little touches that made everything feel special—from the House Band jamming out to White Wedding with our son, to leading us to the coolest spots in the museum for photos. She totally got our quirky personalities and love of music and helped create a wedding we’ll never forget. If you’re thinking about it—do yourself a favor and get married at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

We had our wedding ceremony here. We dealt with the gallery manager; he was really nice and willing to work with you to meet your needs. We had a rehearsal the night before our wedding and everything was ready for the next day. As long as you keep him informed everything should go smoothly! We were lucky to have such vibrant paintings at the time of our ceremony & it added a lot to our ceremony decor. We didn't have to decorate much! I would love to have an event here again and would suggest it to couples who want something different for their ceremony or reception!

The CMA was a dream venue for our wedding. We looked at many venues around Cleveland kept coming back to the CMA - it really is Cleveland’s best. We had our ceremony and reception in the atrium with ~100 guests. We originally had a guest list of 250+ guests, but due to Covid we ended up with a much smaller guest list. Throughout our entire wedding planning process during Covid, the CMA was very accommodating and flexible. We initially worked with Elizabeth, the Director of Catering sales, and transitioned to Rachel. Both women were very helpful. If there is one thing I would change, I’d love for more flexibility in catering, especially for more authentic, multi-cultural options.

Our experience with DeYor Performing Arts Center was truly like a dream come true, surpassing all we had hoped for. From the moment we walked in for our first consultation, we were impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail of the staff. They took the time to listen to our vision for the wedding and offered valuable suggestions to enhance it. The venue itself was stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for our special day. The team at DeYor went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the event was meticulously planned and executed. We particularly appreciated their flexibility in accommodating last-minute changes and requests, making us feel truly cared for. While there were a few minor aspects that were neutral, overall, the experience was overwhelmingly positive. For instance, the food provided by their catering partner was delicious and received many compliments from our guests. The only downside was construction and there wasn’t anything any of us could have done regarding that. In conclusion, we highly recommend DeYor Performing Arts Center for any couple looking for a magical and seamless wedding experience. Their dedication to making our day perfect was evident in every detail, and we are grateful for the memories they helped us create. Thank you to the entire team at DeYor for making our wedding day truly unforgettable.

We cannot express how much we loved having our reception at MAPS. All of our guests were blown away by the unique location, access to the museum, and all the airplanes! We loved that they provided volunteers, allowed us to set up whenever we needed, and were flexible in our need to meet via Skype as we were planning this event from our home in DC. They provided tables, ideas about placement, and made sure an airplane was available to be used for a background for our photobooth! The price was amazing, there was plenty of room for multiple dessert tables, guest tables, a waffle stand, and a buffet. If you have your event during the summer, you have the option of having the hanger door open! It was a little chilly, so make sure to budget for having the heat turned on if you are concerned it may be a little cold. Overall, we can't recommend this location enough. If you are looking for a unique venue to fit a travel-themed reception or for a couple who have a history of travel, airplanes, military, etc. this is your location! They have invested in a lot of signage, so it is easy to find right off of I-77.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Akron Art Museum last October and we cannot say enough good things about it! Working with all of the staff, specifically Cydney, was incredibly easy and they were all great at communication and answering any and all of our questions. They also were very accommodating when it came to any special requests that we had. The venue itself is so unique and beautiful. We wanted to get married somewhere less traditional and the museum was no doubt the right choice! We opted for having the galleries open during cocktail hour so guests could walk around, and many of them told us it was their favorite part of the whole evening. If you get married here, the open gallery is a must!

This venue was a dream come true! I wanted a small, backyard feel wedding, and my wife wanted an artsy space, and BAYarts fit the vibe perfectly. Kelly was the event coordinator and she was super helpful with answering my questions. The best part about the venue is that all the furniture is supplied. We hired a day-of coordinator who did all of the work for us so we were able to drop off our decorations and car keys and she set up and tore down everything for us. We did no cleaning after the reception. One downside I will say, however, is that the venue is pretty public, so for most of the day strangers were walking in and viewing the gallery or using the bathroom, but that was only up until dinner. Over all, BAYarts was perfect, and all of our guests loved the venue.

This is the most beautiful and fun place to have a wedding. Bonnie was wonderful in the months leading up to our date, allowing us to visit and plan our layout. Everyone keeps telling us it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Couldn't be happier with our choice.
