We had our wedding at Birch Hill in the Conservatory Ballroom this past October. It was wonderful! All of our guests enjoyed the food and beautiful building. Jared and the entire staff were so professional great to work with. Thank you! We had a blast!

Besides the fact that this venue is gorgeous, offers unlimited housing combinations to satisfy the wedding families and to keep them close, and many spaces to customize the wedding of your dream, the people who created this space are truly amazing to work with. From first reach out to touring the space to the on site team for the weekend, it made planning and executing a wedding an absolute dream. I wish I could relive every moment, even the planning!! Just go for it with these folks. The best people and place.

We are so thrilled that we discovered the Historic Barns of Nipmoose for our October wedding. From our first interaction with Connie, the venue manager, it was clear that this was a special place and a team that puts immense care into the work that they do, and after visiting and seeing the grounds, we were enchanted. We felt really supported as we went through the wedding planning process and were so happy with the end result. Our guests could not stop raving about the natural beauty and charm of the barns -- we totally agree and are so happy that we got to celebrate our wedding at the Barns!

We are so happy that we went with Locust Hill for our wedding. The venue was absolutely beautiful, and a perfect location for people to attend either from the NYC area coming upstate, or those coming from the Albany/Hudson Valley area. The venue is easy to access, and there is no confusion as to how to get there. Lauren, the coordinator is fantastic to work with and provided helpful insight and her time to us throughout the entire process. The greenery in the summer at the barn is so beautiful, and they now have a beautiful patio that you can have your cocktail hour at. They have a prep kitchen as well that many caterers will appreciate. We loved working with them from the start and are so grateful for their involvement in our special day!

Its hard to even put into words how wonderful Lisa and her ancillary staff are. From start to finish, this planning process was truly seamless for us. Not only is the outdoor property breathtaking year round with with rolling hills and gorgeous flower beds (pictures don’t do it justice by the way; in-person it is spectacular); but the aesthetic of the cocktail and reception areas were just as stunning. The way I kept describing it to people was “upscale barn wedding, rustic elegance.” Martha Stewart would certainly approve; and I hope one day this venue gets recognized in the media- because it’s truly something special. The Sablewood and its staff are a well-oiled machine, to say the least. They were organized, communicative, managed time & expectations well, and were so easy to get along with. This review is a long time coming as my husband and I got married at the Ruins at Sassafras on May 18th, 2024. We toured the property back in 2023 when the Chair Factory was still being renovated, and we instantly fell in love with the property. It was the first and only venue that we toured, and we knew when we left that we had to book it. The venue was extremely responsive to questions and requests and truly wonderful to work with, making it easy to plan our wedding. When the wedding weekend finally came, we were beyond excited to get married. Being able to stay on the property made the weekend go by smoothly, as we were able to walk right to the ceremony space after getting ready and walk right back after the ceremony was done. We had our ceremony in the ruins themselves, and I couldn't picture a more beautiful ceremony space. We hardly did any decorations other than florals on the archway because the surroundings were already so stunning. Our cocktail hour and after party were in the Moroccan bar, and the guests loved it! Carol did such a wonderful job decorating it that it required very little additional decor from us. Our reception was in the Chair Factory, and it never felt cramped with our 112 guests. We had so much fun and the dance floor was packed all night long. The true gem of this already wonderful venue is Carol, the owner, herself. She is so kind, genuine, responsive, knowledgeable, and an all around delight to work with. Our friends still talk about our wedding weekend, it was truly an unforgettable experience.

We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding day. From the detail that went into the design of the barn (lanterns, glass door/wall that opens) all the way down to the furniture (chairs, tables, bridal suite design), the character and charm is unmatched. The landscaping around the entire place was also breathtaking, perfectly curated for our wedding. The cabin next to the venue was very convenient, we used it for hair and makeup. Overall, absolutely stunning to hold your special day. Leonie and Elena were beyond helpful every step of the way including the day of the wedding, very flexible and accommodating people. 10/10 recommend!!!

Our experience with the Barn was absolutely a positive one. We utilized the glamping sites/rehearsal dinner site in addition to the barn so that we could offer our guests a weekend of festivities. The staff at the Nest (glamp site) were kind, polite and extremely helpful (shout out to Joe for setting up our rehearsal dinner sternos, table and chairs). Beth and Anjie were fantastic coordinators of our guests and vendors the day of the wedding, in addition to transporting bridesmaids and guests with limited mobility. Beth was also fantastically helpful the day before the wedding in setting the barn up. Danni was extremely responsive and thorough in her response to my questions, providing me with all the specifics of the barn size, items needing to be rented and any other particulars that needed to be ironed out prior to the day. We also utilized three of the Liberty Farm houses for family to stay, and all three were beautiful, unique and clean. Regarding the price of the barn, you get the day before and after to access to set up/clean up, which is a lovely stress reducer. You get the staff support pre and post (also, I might mention, the entire barn was neatly cleaned up and all my items stacked by the barn staff

A total hidden gem — we’re still dreaming about it! We stumbled upon The Promise Gardens online while searching for Lake George wedding venues, and despite never having heard of it before, the moment I stepped onto the property (in the middle of winter, no less), I just knew — this was the one. And once wedding season rolled around? It was even more magical than we imagined. The venue is absolutely stunning. You get everything that makes the Adirondacks so special all in one place — so close to Lake George, gorgeous mountains as your backdrop, dreamy barns, and hydrangeas everywhere. Our guests were blown away — we heard over and over, “Wait, how did you find this place?!” Beyond the beauty, the way the venue flows is so thoughtful — there’s a perfect, natural progression from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, each in its own unique space. It makes the entire night feel exciting and seamless. Terri, the owner, clearly pours so much love into the property. She and her team were kind, responsive, and genuinely lovely to work with from start to finish. You can tell she cares deeply — not just about the land, but about the couples who get married there. And from what we saw, it just keeps getting better every year. We highly recommend The Promise Gardens — for the views, the vibe, the amazing team, and the way it makes you feel like you’ve found your own private piece of Adirondack heaven. Honestly, we wish we could get married there every year.

We highly recommend Windham manor, it is a stunning venue, the manor that the wedding party and parents can stay in is beautiful, and comes with two house managers that take such amazing care of us while we were there. The Barn, and understated name for such an amazingly beautiful reception area. The enchanted forest was stunning. The team at Windham manor will take care of all the details that need to be covered the entire time you are there. The house house managers took such good care of us, as MOB I didn't have to worry about a thing, they got the food out and served beautifully, they were a dream to work with. Barry the owner was a doll to give us all the details we needed to know, and was so sweet to take video and photos during the wedding and reception, we loved being able to show them off, since we didn't use our cameras, being in the moment. Thank you Windham manor for providing such an amazingly stunning venue for our daughters wedding!
