About this venue
The BARN at Liberty Farms is a unique and elegant wedding venue that was a former thoroughbred stallion barn. It is nestled on a private section of a 400-acre certified organic farm and equestrian center providing a discreet country setting off the quiet and winding road. Minutes from Hudson, the farm is a five-minute drive from the Columbia County Airport, a 50-minute drive from the larger Albany International Airport, and 2 hours from New York City.
Facilities and Capacity
This property welcomes up to 175 guests for a couple’s wedding. There are multiple location choices for your ceremony, including a new stunning wooded site, with a secret path through the forest opening up to a magical and unique spot seating 150 around a raised wood platform and an arbor crafted out of the trees that had been in its place. Alternatively, for a more open-aired option, there are two large and lush green paddocks to choose from, both surrounded by dense trees and a crisp white fences.
The barn, made for receptions, has had many updates, including heating and air conditioning, modern restrooms, and two comfortable wedding suites, transforming it into an elegant yet outdoorsy space. Wood-paneled walls and ceilings, along with huge barn doors, iron chandeliers, and bistro lighting, give The BARN at Liberty Farms its cozy country feeling.

The venue works with couples to provide a romantic wedding celebration and only hosts one wedding per weekend throughout the year. Couples will also find the following services:

Liberty Farms offers 4 options for lodging. There are three farmhouses (Silo View, Mountain View, and Liberty Farms Guest House), two sleep 8-10 guests and one sleeps 6. The latter is within walking distance from the wedding venue. The final option is The STAY at Liberty Farms, a boutique glamping site with 10 luxury tented cabins surrounding a central lodge with lounge areas, dining spots, communal cooking facilities, and a camp store. It also offers couples an option to host a small rehearsal dinner with the full buyout of all 10 cabins.

We had friends and family staying with us at the glamping tents and rental houses, and the whole experience could not have possibly went smoother with having everyone on-site for our Rehearsal, Sunday Brunch, and of course, the Ceremony and Wedding itself. Danni, Blanche, and the rest of the Liberty Farms team was such a pleasure to work with, and made us feel like we were having the most important wedding weekend of the whole Summer (before the Summer had even started!)
From the housing accommodations, to the transportation, to the absolutely majestic venue itself, we couldn't possibly have walked away from our wedding with a better feeling about the venue. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolute Fairytale at The Barn at Liberty Farms!
The staff was absolutely incredible—so organized, kind, and attentive. They kept everything running smoothly the entire day, and by the time the night ended, we were blown away to see how seamlessly they handled cleanup and even helped us pack up as we loaded the van the next morning.
We loved that there was an option to stay right on the property. We rented out the farmhouse, and it was perfect! My girls and I stayed there the night before, which made for such special memories—and the getting-ready photos turned out stunning.
One of our favorite touches was the cozy fire pit that stayed lit late into the night. It gave everyone a chance to unwind, share stories, and just enjoy being together under the stars.
Every single detail was perfect. The Barn at Liberty Farms truly made our wedding an absolute fairytale. I can’t recommend this venue enough—it’s everything you could ever dream of for a wedding weekend and more. 💕
Beautiful Experience
Regarding the price of the barn, you get the day before and after to access to set up/clean up, which is a lovely stress reducer. You get the staff support pre and post (also, I might mention, the entire barn was neatly cleaned up and all my items stacked by the barn staff
