My husband and I had a very specific vision for our reception, and did a lot of research in pursuit of a DJ and company that were more of an artist that would keep the party going all night long, instead of your 'traditional' event DJ. This led us to 74 Events and when Gary took in our inquiry and wedding vision, he connected us with James Arnold and the rest was history. We felt so at ease with the entire planning process that it was actually hard for us to build a requested set list for James because we trusted him too much to just get the job done. He did that and then some! James took all of our crazy, random desires (including a last minute pivot to including a Yacht House - yacht rock and house music mixed - set, and turned it into the most magical party our beach had seen. The floor was packed from start to finish; people who *do not dance ever* were dancing until the lights came on; and our friends and family were all looking for James' info at the end of the night. We'd repeat our wedding for a million reason, but James' set is most certainly toward the top of the list of reasons! We will happily refer our friends, family, colleagues, and strangers to Gary and his team for years to come. It is undoubtably one of the best decisions a couple can make if they're looking to throw an epic party people will be talking about for years to come.

The entire process was so easy and organized - a couple phone calls and forms to fill out to get a good sense of our music preferences - from there they handled the rest! They even went above and beyond to help us curate some music for our after party.

We had so much fun at our wedding! James absolutely nailed the music and it felt like every song was perfectly chosen for us! Many of our guests commented on how great the music was and said it was the first and only wedding DJ they have enjoyed!

On your wedding day it gets busy quickly, and the key to making the day as special as you dream goes back to the planning. Gary is a pros pro! Each phone call and zoom meeting were an absolute pleasure, and the attention to detail shows he cares. His communication is what you want and need from a vendor. His systems work seamlessly and allows all of your visions for your big day to become a reality. He understands the big moments and makes sure they happen exactly as you wished. Needless to say Gary's extremely knowledgeable of the components that are necessary for all of your guests to talk about how amazing your wedding was for years to come, and that knowledge and his advice allowed us to impress our guest. On top of that he heard our vision and knew exactly what DJ could deliver.

James was the absolute best! His preparation for our event was top notch. He was prompt, set up all three sound system locations effortlessly, and when it started raining during his set up (without warning must I add) he quickly adjusted and worked amazing with the venues staff. Again the systems Gary provides communicated to James every single moment and he knew exactly what to do. Our ceremony was perfect with the help of James. The sound quality was perfect, the ability to let our guest feel the emotions attached to our processional, and he nailed our first kiss by starting the music right as the moment happened. Our bridal parties introductions were fun and inviting for our guest. He edited the timing perfectly for our first dance so it did not feel rushed or too long. He just nailed every portion of our wedding. And of course the most important part, the music! James studies your must play list, and knows exactly what to play around it. He had our guest on the dance floor all night, and most importantly he knows how to read the room. He understand what will keep the party going and his depth of music knowledge gets everyone moving. The quality he provides shows in each portion of your wedding.

74 Events was incredible from the start. They were the most organized vendor I worked with. They didn't wait til the last month to get things sorted. They responded to any email/text within hours. They took the time to get to know us, our taste in music, and what we wanted for the night. Gary and Con were a dream team! Everyone raved about the music and was out on the dancefloor all night.

I cannot recommend 74 Events enough! Gary was so wonderful communicating and organizing. Our DJ, Joel, was AMAZING! We really had the best time, and he kept our friends and family dancing right until the end :). Could not have asked for a better DJ! We had the most electric wedding in January 2026 with the help of Gary and Dan from 74Events. We wanted to make sure the DJ wasn't too over the top / distracting from the wedding -- if this is you too, you've found the right vendor! Gary is the most responsive human you will ever encounter and we had the most seamless process setting up our wish list, do not play list, run of house, mic tutorial, etc. to make sure our wedding day curated an amazing vibe for us and our guests. We had many people come up to us afterwards to compliment the music throughout the ceremony, dinner and reception. Big thank you to Dan for hearing our vision and executing on it perfectly. 10/10 would book again!
