Novella Photography was a great experience! They are so much fun, and are so very sweet. We explained to them that we wanted a lot of candids, and not spend a TON of time in formal portraits. They did just that! They were so fun, Paulette got on her husband's shoulders for some dance floor shots and that was honestly the coolest thing I ever saw. They crawl in bushes, roll on the ground, whatever they need to make sure you get the best photos! Loved it. AND we got so many sneak peek photos the day after the wedding! I was amazed at how quickly we got those back. So many people commented on how quick they were, and how amazing they looked. We just love them, and it is so hard to not want to put all of them up in our house. We got so many wonderful and beautiful photos to look back at, and we were so very happy with our experience! Would 100% recommend to any and everyone looking for photographers. They are both wonderful!

When choosing a photographer, we focused on finding examples of photos we loved (which we absolutely do!), but we had no idea how much more she would bring to the day. Paulette added the perfect mix of calm, collected confidence and joy—from the morning portraits to the last moments by the lake.

She took care of countless details we never would have thought of: finding the perfect path for couples photos, adding lights on the dance floor, hopping in a canoe to capture lakeside fun, and even sharing in the little moments that made the day so special.

We’re both normally awkward in front of a camera, but Paulette made us feel completely at ease. Many guests commented on how fantastic she was even before seeing the photos—and once we shared them, everyone agreed she captured the true feeling of the day.

After booking our venue, photography was my number one priority and Novella and Paulette was easily the best decision I could have ever made. Paulette is a true talent and her unique perspective, experience and love for her craft came through in our gallery of wedding photos. This was such a fun and easy experience. Paulette understood exactly what we were going for, and she executed it to the highest standard. We were SO happy with Novella Photography! We hired Matt and Paulette for our wedding, they were fantastic. They were so professional, communicative, and easy to work with, and their photos were incredible. They did a great job of capturing everything we wanted to get photos of, and a lot of things we hadn’t thought of but were great to have. Their photos are stunning–they’re lively, really well framed, and genuinely captured the love and excitement of our wedding. They took a great mix of portraits, staged photos (family shots, etc.), and action shots that captured the energy of us and our guests. And they sent us a sneak peak of some of our favorite photos almost immediately after the wedding, so we could share them with family and friends right away while we were waiting for the full album (which we got a few weeks later). We genuinely have only great things to say about Novella Photography–do yourself a favor and hire them!!
