The Hill Farm property includes a newly built event barn with lofted ceilings, overnight accommodations for up to 55 guests, and a sustainable farm to support catering needs - all providing ample space for your ideal gathering. The Restaurant Barn & Event Lawn at Hill Farm

The newly constructed barn boasts lofted ceilings with a post & beam design emblematic of Vermont’s agricultural heritage. Barn windows and doors highlight the sweeping mountainous landscape of the Equinox Valley. The outdoor patio with surrounding lawn overlooks the mountains and preserved wetlands, perfect for cocktail hour. The barn can accommodate up to 100 guests for dinner. The adjacent lawns can accommodate a tent for up to 150 guests with dinner and dancing.

The Ceremony Site

An observation deck and lawn overlooking the Taconic Mountains create a magical, natural backdrop for the ceremony. The original Hill’s Farm barn built in 1860 stands adjacent to the deck. Guests can take in the views, the vows, and the historic barn.

Accomodations

Hill Farm’s historic inn was recently remodeled to provide luxurious comfort while maintaining the charm of a classic Vermont Bed & Breakfast. The campus includes a combination of inn rooms and private cottages, accommodating up to 55 overnight guests, perfect for those looking to host a weekend retreat for their event. Each one is uniquely designed with pieces sourced from local artisans and makers. The grounds include a vegetable farm open to walking, trails along the Battenkill River and more special moments waiting to be discovered.

Inn Rooms

Hill Farm has 11 rooms at the Main Inn. These rooms include 5 Queen rooms, 3 King rooms and 3 Suites.

The Cottages

At Hill Farm we have 4 cottages available for guests including two 3-bedroom and two 4-bedroom cottages. They provide the ideal place for family, bridal parties or groups of friends.

Catering

Guests take in their surroundings by enjoying cocktail hour in the garden or dining under the evening lights. The addition of a vegetable garden on-site allows guests to savor the flavors of the farm and experience a meal in the barn or under the night sky. With Chef Austin Poulin, formerly of Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Albi in Washington D.C, the menus are created to reflect the bounty of Southern Vermont. Given our emphasis on the farm and kitchen we require that all parties use our in house culinary team. Menus for each event are custom curated for your group and the time of year. No menu is the same.
