My wife and I recently had the pleasure of getting married at the Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester, VT, in late August last year, and we would highly recommend the venue to others!

The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained. We've stayed at the Kimpton a few times now, and the staff is always extremely friendly (plus, it's pet-friendly!). Though it's a larger hotel, they do an incredible job giving it a sort of boutique feel, which we loved. Also, I couldn't recommend late August in Vermont enough—you run the risk of rain, but the days and nights start to cool, and the weather was perfect for us.

We toured a lot of venues in Vermont, but one thing that didn’t sit well with us was how some hotels hosted multiple weddings per weekend—even multiple per day. A big reason we chose the Kimpton Taconic was that they only host one wedding per weekend, so it never gave the “wedding factory” vibe that some other locations give. For our guest count of ~130, it was the perfect size and setup. Having everything in one location—the rehearsal, welcome drinks, ceremony, and reception—was incredibly convenient, especially for the older guests and children at our wedding. Also, with several other hotels within walking distance and lots of Airbnbs nearby, our guests had lots of options for places to stay and transportation was never a concern, which was important to us.

Our wedding coordinator, Natalie, was incredibly supportive and accommodating throughout the planning process. Understanding the significant financial commitment involved, Natalie really helped us get comfortable with a lot of the details and the financial aspects and ensure everything went smoothly. As with many wedding venues, some pricing aspects felt steep, but much of that was beyond Natalie’s control. She was always flexible and helped us navigate those challenges, making the experience much more manageable. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted to spend on vs save on because Natalie was so transparent.

Overall, the Kimpton Taconic Hotel provided us with a beautiful setting and exceptional service for our wedding day. Would highly recommend it to anyone considering it for their wedding.

If we could do it all over again, we would choose the Taconic every time. It exceeded our expectations, especially the food!!! Our guests raved about the food and the space. We had the wedding of our dreams at the Taconic and the venue played the biggest role. We cannot thank the staff at the Taconic enough. We had our wedding on 6/18/2022 and it was absolutely perfect thanks to the staff at the Kimpton Taconic. We worked with Leah, the event coordinator at the Taconic, from our first visit to the venue through the planning process and she was there to make sure everything went off without a hitch on the big day. Leah was amazing to work with, always responsive, accommodating and professional and made sure everything was perfectly coordinated on the day so I could just relax and enjoy it! The venue itself is super quaint and cozy and our guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the hotel. Clean rooms, great service/staff, and a delicious restaurant right on site that caters the dinner for the events. The food was excellent- there was not one bad thing I could say about our experience. Thank you for making our day so special!

I had a 40 person wedding at the Taconic in August 2019, after a short engagement. I cannot stress enough how helpful the staff is here- Melissa, Anastasia and Jamaica made planning my small wedding in under 6 months seem so easy! I had no idea what I was doing, and no real vision for what I wanted, so I appreciated all the suggestions for vendors, officiants, local restaurants, and everything in between.

The FOOD was SO GOOD. We had plated dinner from the Copper Grouse restaurant on site. The hardest part was trying to decide our menu after the delicious tasting meal. Our friends and family raved about the food (for months!)! We brought in our own desserts, and the staff was great with presentation and replenishing as needed.

The personal touches were super as well- prosecco and cheese plate with handwritten notes, top notch room service... I had a minor dress issue in the middle of photos and Jamaica saved the day with some thread and a needle lol. My mother is in a wheelchair and everyone at the hotel was so helpful with making sure she was comfortable, even going so far as changing her room when we realized her chair wouldn't fit.

Literally my only complaint for the whole weekend was that we couldn't get late check out due to some big event in town the next day!

I almost wish I could get married again this year so I could do it all over again at the Taconic. Next best thing will have to a trip back for our anniversary!

My wedding anniversary is coming up (10.27.18) and I wanted to send a huge thank you to the Kimpton Taconic! We had the PERFECT wedding there and wow, dreams do come true!!! The Taconic is a beautiful venue. It is charming, rustic yet modern, cozy, and warm. I love Kimpton hotels and have stayed at many of them across the country, so when we were trying to find a venue for our wedding in Manchester, the Taconic was my number one choice. The venue itself is wonderful but the Taconic’s staff members are worth more than gold!! From the moment we started communicating with Melissa, working with Melissa was a joy and was so easy because she’s truly a pro at what she does. She was very responsive to all of our questions, accommodating to our requests, and very organized. I had no concerns leading up to our wedding day and especially the day of our wedding because I trusted Melissa and knew that she would take care of everything (and of course, she did so perfectly). Jamaica was also wonderful to work with on our wedding day. I gave Melissa and Jamaica boxes and boxes of things that I wanted to use as decorations for the wedding but didn’t give them too much direction in terms of how I wanted things to look and be arranged. I knew that they’d be able to come up with amazing ideas themselves. They told me to take care of myself and not worry about a thing. They worked seamlessly with the other vendors. Everything looked absolutely stunning and I was all smiles all night!! Melissa and Jamaica really knew how to take care of every detail. Philip, the banquet hall manager, executed everything perfectly. The banquet staff and bartenders were very professional, awesome, friendly; service on our wedding day was impeccable. We had quite a few people with dietary restrictions. The Taconic kitchen was super accommodating, and all the food came out as requested. The food’s absolutely amazing! Our guests raved about how the food was one of the best that they’d ever had at a wedding (they still talk about it). Many thanks to Terrence (who’s so kind!) for all the help he gave us when we’d check in very late at night during our pre-wedding visits to Manchester. Even now, our family and friends keep on telling us that our wedding was one of the best weddings that they have attended!!! That's all thanks to the Taconic staff. We’d say YES again a MILLION times to having our wedding at the Taconic and we look forward to visiting again for years to come.

We couldn't be happier that we held our Friday BBQ and our Sunday Brunch at the Taconic, and that they catered our wedding next door at The Inn at Manchester Celebration Barn! Although not the cheapest option, the value was incredible. Every detail was taken care of, lots of communication, they worked seamlessly with our wedding venue, and they were all just so darn nice!!! Parley, Melissa, Anastasia, Patrick and crew were fabulous. The food was out of this world across the board. I still have guest raving about the salad of all things - that's how good even the simplest items were! Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I recently got married in Manchester. Aside from our wedding itself, we held all of our other wedding weekend events at Taconic and booked a room block there for our wedding guests. The property is gorgeous, which is obvious to anyone who has ever been there, but what really stands out to me is their exceptional customer service. Working with Melissa and Anastasia was a dream throughout our entire planning process. They were always very responsive and delivered on everything that they promised. When we expressed our concern about going over budget, Melissa was so understanding and worked with us to find solutions that kept us under budget without compromising on the quality of the event. All of our events ran smoothly, the food was delicious and everyone on the staff that worked our events was attentive, thoughtful, and kind. All of my guests raved about their experience at Taconic, and my husband and I were completely satisfied with our experience there. We’re looking forward to visiting Manchester and staying at Taconic for years to come, and we highly recommend the hotel to anyone!

The Taconic was such a beautiful venue for our intimate fall wedding! The beautiful yard with string lights and trees, the heated porch let us spend cocktail hour outdoors on a slightly chilly day, and the ballroom was very cozy. The staff were lovely, easy to work with, and treated us like royalty for our special day (and the whole weekend as well!). Thank you so much!
