Nick gets vibes. We (early 30's) loved how he was able to navigate a room that had just as many older family members as there were friends. He read the room so well throughout the night and made our dance floor last all night long. Our wedding celebration was over 5 hours long (including dinner) so there was a LOT of time to fill and Nick paced out the energy of the room. Entrance/Special Dances: Perfect entrance timing, faded songs and made announcements that felt natural The Dinner: great selection of where old meets new while balancing the music level to allow for conversation Speeches/group photos: kept us on schedule, rolled with our last second changes at ease Dance Floor: Blended oldies with new songs that kept everyone dancing. Balanced the night with a few slow sections that let people catch their breath, grab a second dessert and another drink, or slow dance with a loved one. Then right back to the dance party. As the older relatives went off to bed, he adjusted again to keep the party going for our friends. Couldn't recommend Nick and 802 events enough for his craft and execution on the dance floor.

Nick was the perfect man for the job! He DJ-ed our full wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). He took some guidance from us -- we knew the "vibe" that would get our guests up and dancing, so we gave him a Spotify playlist for inspiration and he took it and ran with it. Our dance floor was packed all night and our guests told us that it was the funnest wedding they've ever been to. Nick is easy-going, professional, and well-prepared. He has done many Jewish weddings with the Hora, so it was great that he was familiar with the tradition and helped us get the chairs set up, etc. He also incorporated a very last minute request to change our Father Daughter dance song, and didn't even bat an eye. Overall, we can't recommend Nick and 802 Events enough!

Nick was an excellent DJ! Extremely professional and not at all cheesy. He sent us a comprehensive survey before the event to get a sense of our preferences/ requests, and then had a long phone call with us following up on it to make sure he understood everything we wanted. He did an excellent job, the dance floor was hopping all night long.

OMG I have so many great things to say about Nick! We found out our DJ got COVID the Monday before our wedding and he cancelled. My husband and I were SCRAMBLING. 802 Events was the first DJ I called and Nick picked up. He was very friendly and said he may have a cancellation for the weekend of our wedding. A few hours later he confirmed that he could DJ for us. Nick sent a very thorough questionnaire and we chatted on the phone about the plan day of. When the day came he was on top of everything! Our guests could hear us at the ceremony (because my husband was mic'd up) and there was no weird feedback. He coordinated with our vendors and has such an eye for the details. He played all of the songs we wanted and really figured out our vibe. I would recommend Nick and 802 Events for any DJ needs! AMAZING.

We were extremely happy with 802 Events as our DJ and sound service for our reception. We were able to plan out an order of events for the evening that made handing off the mic for speeches and a candle lighting ceremony seemless. We were also very happy with the overall music selection which were based on a playlist and vibe we submitted, but changed based on the crowd. We highly recommend 802 Events.

Nick and 802 Events truly elevated our event! He engaged when appropriate with the right amount of energy, and stepped back when needed. I thought the mark of a quality DJ was the music selection, but I was wrong. Nick played our playlist, and other songs, but his overall orchestration was what made our celebration a party. By the end of the night he knew half the guests by name and roped unlikely friends and family to join in on the fun. And the photo booth was a huge hit!

Nick’s attention to detail, before and during the event, put my mind at ease that all was taken care of. I couldn’t recommend Nick more strongly and I just want to go to another party he’s Djing!

Not only did Nick read all my crazy spreadsheets and timelines, he incorporated all our needs in a well organized and professional way. Nick worked with our last minute ceremony videographer to accommodate sounds needs during our ceremony. He played music everyone was happy with during our cocktail hour, and he helped move the event along through our wedding reception, announcing important things, pointing guests to the signature cocktail, setting up our photoslide show. Nick even helped us create a custom father/daughter song. And the photobooth was amazing and Nick created a custom design for the photos. He was familiar with our venue, Basin Harbor, and it made everything run so smoothly.

Just incredible! Nick could not have made our event more special. His attention to detail and ability to pronounce every name correctly was awesome!

Nick with 802 Events was amazing! We had a lot of special requests in terms of the music we wanted played and he worked with us to make sure we got everything we wanted. He was fantastic throughout making sure everything was moving along according to plan and even found us near the end of the night to see if there were any last requests. The photo booth was also really fun - all of our guests loved it!

Nick was our DJ at our wedding last September and was a pleasure to work with. He was very organized and responsive to emails and phone calls, no matter how minor of a decision. He was also very honest - on the day of our wedding, he recommended that we forego microphones during our ceremony, given our outdoor conditions, and reimbursed us for the cost. The music was fantastic! We weren’t overly-picky with our selection but he read the room and dance floor extremely well. We had such a great time and would recommend him to anyone.
