Adena Orchard

~Where to begin? When we reached out to Adena Orchard & Vine, Alana told us that all we'd have to do to fall in love with it is to just take a trip and see it in person. Boy, was she right. Adena was the first venue we looked at, and we knew right away that it was everything we were looking for!

~Alana & Kevin feel like family, no joke. From the beginning, Alana was extremely communicative and transparent about costs, vendors, and even time. We have had such an amazing time communicating with her, that it's so hard to think that it's finally over. Jackiie and I knew from the get-go that we would be having a large, bohemian, non-traditional, DIY wedding, and Adena fully truly wholly delivered. From the GORGEOUS setting deep in the Catskills, to the STUNNING authentic barn that Kevin has put so much work into restoring, our wedding would not have been anywhere near as magical or perfect had Adena not hosted it.

~Alana's thoughtful and thorough list of vendors in the area was integral to us finding the perfect collaborators for our big day. The whole family was incredibly helpful and excited to get to help us iron out details and move tables around the day before (and of). Kevin had the best technical considerations and advice throughout the whole process. If you are looking for a transactional, cookie-cutter, wedding factory, hands-off venue, find it elsewhere. If you are looking for a human touch, endless enthusiasm, plentiful creativity, to feel cared for, look no further. This family feels like our family.

~Things we love in no particular order: stunning and thoughtful get ready rooms (for both me and Jackiie, it was so important that we both felt special as it was OUR day!); lovely vintage furniture in the barn and main house; idyllic views of the Catskills; how Alana just hopped in as our wedding fairy godmother (no joke, this is her name in my phone) when we didn't have a wedding planner; everyone's willingness to creative problem-solve and roll with the punches when our day-of timeline flew out the window; the bonfire at the end of the night (our guests have not stopped raving); all the little nooks and areas for folks to explore and disappear and contemplate (the willow bridge & the tree tunnel, to name a couple); ok I could keep going on and on and on, but there is nothing not to love.

~Adena fam; there are no words to describe how important you are to us, and how wonderful it has been to work with you. A thousand thanks, and a thousand again!

We hosted both our rehearsal / welcome dinner and wedding day at AOV, and they were both wonderful. We used one barn for the welcome dinner and for the wedding day we had everything outside (with a tent). Kevin and Alana are absolutely wonderful to work with, they very generously came to our rescue after a sticky situation elsewhere and we couldn't have been happier. After our tented reception, we headed to the bonfire (also on the property) and our guests loved it, it was a fun way to provide late-night snacks. Kevin also came to my rescue during our first look and figured out how to fix my broken shoe- they're really there to support you however you need. The area is nice and remote while also having hotels nearby- we had all of our guests stay in Windham, which is very close. The property is kept well with still having the element of being natural. We would highly recommend AOV!

Words can barely describe the experience we had at Adena for our wedding.
It all started once I received a call back from Alana to set up a tour. The moment I spoke to her on the phone there was an instant connection and understanding about the experience we were looking for and I remember telling my now husband that I just felt something different about this place. Not only was she extremely professional over the phone when explaining the property but she seemed overall excited and full of love (which was very hard to come by during the venue search). When we visited the property Alana and Kevin were warm and had an entire tour prepared. As soon as we finished the tour we knew we definitely wanted our special day at Adena. They were both so accommodating and helpful during the wedding planning process and full of recommendations. The tree planting was such a treat to enjoy with our close friends and family prior to our wedding ! Our September wedding was like a DREAM. We had the most perfect day and Adena looked absolutely STUNNING. Our ceremony by the big rock really came together beautifully. All of the colors, greenery, and rustic vibe of the property was just sensational for our day. We had SO many compliments and inquires on how we even found Adena. So many guests told us that they had never been to a wedding like this and how it was truly an experience they had never had. The entire day felt so full of love and we owe that all to Alana and Kevin for creating such a venue that can make everyone feel that. They truly felt like family. We have the most amazing memories and wish we could relive the entire experience. We cannot wait to be back for our anniversary for all the years to come !

We are so lucky to have found Adena Orchard and Vine for our wedding day. From the very start, Alana and Kevin were so welcoming and made us feel so excited for our big day. The venue itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous 200 year old barn, amazing ready rooms, SEVERAL stunning ceremony locations all with great views of the mountains, and a bonfire after party — what more could you ask for? Alana and Kevin were so incredibly accommodating, making sure that all our questions and concerns were addressed and that we and our guests were comfortable throughout the event. We especially loved that for each event held here, they plant a tree for each couple who gets married. They even went out of their way to secure a cherry tree for us, which was so thoughtful, as cherry blossoms are meaningful to us. Our guests loved wandering the property and we had an amazing time ourselves just reveling in the beauty of it all. Thank you so much Alana and Kevin for helping us have the wedding we’ve always dreamed of.

From the moment we met Alana and Kevin and took a tour, my partner and I knew this was where we wanted to get married! We canceled all our future tours because we were so sure and we never had any regrets.

Our wedding was rustic chic and while we only had 40 guests, their 15 acre space provided the most amazing backdrop. The venue has almost unlimited options for where you want to have different parts of your day (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) and Alana and Kevin leave a lot of the decisions up to you to create your day. If you make use of the space, it keeps things interesting and guests continuously amazed! Also, we were given a good amount of freedom in decorating the space to create the vibe/theme/style of our wedding. Some cool features that we easily were able to have were an outdoor photobooth (which they set up for us) and ending the night with a s’mores bonfire (they set up the bonfire and we brought/set up the ingredients). As part of their gift to every couple, they also got us a cherry tree (we requested cherry) for us to plant in their orchard!! They helped us plant the tree with our families the day after our wedding. These are just some of the personalized additional touches that Alana and Kevin provide that you won’t be able to find at any other venue! They only do one wedding per weekend and it really feels like they care about you as an individual couple.

Alana and Kevin were both very personable, friendly, and communicative throughout the whole wedding process. Even though COVID made things additionally stressful and difficult, and due to the weather, we weren’t able to confirm if we’d be able to do our ceremony outdoors as planned until the morning of our wedding (the forecast was unstable with predicting rain up through the night before), Alana and Kevin were the best venue owners to work with given these additional stressful factors and it truly felt like they really cared about making everything as amazing and SAFE and beautiful as possible for us! We highly highly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

I can't say enough great things about this gorgeous property and it's owners. From the first phone call, to my minor freak outs, to post wedding follow up, Alana and Kevin have been nothing but sweet, helpful, and accommodating. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail allowed us to have the most perfect wedding day. The grounds and barn are stunning. We had our ceremony in the great lawn, with a beautiful view of the mountains. After our reception in the barn, we had a lovely bonfire to end our night.

The owners of this gorgeous property Alana and Kevin are the most thoughtful, kind, understanding and easy to work with people we have talked to/ worked with in barn wedding venue spots! We had really done our homework and spoke with a lot of venues and this one totally stuck out! Between their beautiful barns, huge gorgeous fields, big pond, and awesome vintage getting ready rooms and the good hearted souls these two people have, topped everything. If you could wake up the next morning after your wedding and ever say to yourself damn that was my dream wedding this place is it! The location of this venue spot also is in the catskill mountains! The views of the mountains on their property are peaceful and serene. With a few measurements and a couple cuts They are inches away from an $11,000 venue!

If you are looking to do a barn wedding, or a wedding outside on some GORGEOUS grounds, this is the place. I just had the wedding of my dreams here last weekend. The barn itself is beyond perfect, and we were able to set up the space exactly how we wanted to. All of my guests can't stop talking about it, and I keep hearing "this is the best wedding I've ever been to." The usable space near the barn is huge, and we even played with the idea of doing a large wedding tent as well as the barn. They have multiple options for areas to do the ceremony- all set with the mountains in the backdrop. The bridal suite area is seriously something out of a bridal magazine.
The best part of the whole experience, however, are the two fantastic people who own this space. They were always available for my new husband and I to ask any questions, or for any of our vendors to reach out to. They checked in often with logistical, and checking in to see if we needed anything leading up to the day of. They were truly beyond helpful when it came to day-of setup and could not have been sweeter the entire process! By the end, I felt like they were family!
I could not be more sincere, the first time I saw Adena Orchard & Vine, I was in LOVE. I knew it was the one, and that was in February, when everything blooms or the leaves start changing it is just perfection.

A year ago we met Kevin and Alana as their first couple to tour the venue and grounds. A year later these two amazing people made our wedding day magical and perfect.

Kevin and Alana could not be anymore accommodating and pleasant to work with. They truly are passionate about making your day go off without a single issue. From the moment you meet them you know they truly love one another and are not just in it for the money. Throughout the entire year leading up to our wedding day, if there were any questions or issues at all, they were right on top of it. Even us being 3 hours away on Long Island, we never had any problems communicating with them. They really could not have done more for us.

With the mountains in the background and the leaves changing color, our day was beautiful and I’ll never forget it. All wedding planning comes with stress and anxiety but once we arrived friday to set up the barn, Kevin and Alana were there to help every step of the way when they could’ve just sat back and let us do everything. They take impeccable care of their property and the barn. Their house, which the bride and the bridesmaids have a room to get ready in, is beautiful. You can tell upon pulling in this couple is warm and inviting. It is now a week later and our families and friends are still talking about how perfect it was.

There are no negative things for me to say. It was fate we met these two who were beginning their journey as we began to plan ours. And when our day came, they made it so we will never ever forget it.

What it comes down to is this is not a typical factory wedding venue. In fact, this review really should just be about them. Everything else is an added bonus. We’ve heard horror stories about other people’s weddings. How the venue people were nowhere to be found or couldn’t care what went on because they were making their money and were onto the next one because people need a place to get married. Well, this isn’t one of those places, and these are not your typical venue owners. Kevin and Alana are both warm hearted, kind individuals who want you to have the best day of your life. And that we did.

When touring the property you really get a feel for how amazing your wedding can be. We held our ceremony outside next to a big beautiful tree in front of a barn. Kevin is currently working on turning it into an inside ceremony space with a big bar downstairs. There are plenty of options where to hold the ceremony with every way you look having a beautiful backdrop. The barn was beautifully made. The ceiling is huge and the space in there is massive. We had 80 people turn up and we could’ve easily fit another 25 comfortably.

The day of the wedding Kevin and Alana were there every step of the way. Any questions we had they were right there to answer for us. The day before we were allowed to come and set up the barn with everything we brought up. They allowed us to stay and work for hours way past the given time frame. In fact, we found ourselves at the end just hanging out and talking to them for over an hour after everything was done. Thats how personable and down to earth they are. You also get more than your money’s worth and are able to basically set up the barn and property in whatever way you like. It really made it that much more special.

Like I said this isn’t a factory wedding venue, it’s a place you go to have your special day be everything you could have ever wanted and more. Our wedding was a dream come true and for that I will be forever grateful to have not only been able to work with but to know such amazing wonderful people. There was no fence that we were ever on when making our decision. We didn’t sit and think about it. We booked it right away. I suggest you do the same.
