Wedding Music Bands in Detroit

Thank you Matt and Collision 6!!! We are blown away by the band’s performance at our wedding. Matt is a joy to work with. He made our event run incredibly smoothly. He walked us through many important details beforehand and made sure no stone was unturned. We're generally a bit shy on the dancefloor, but with the band's energy, talent, and kindness, we felt incredibly comfortable. We got SO many compliments on the band from our family and friends! We are so grateful!

When my son and daughter-in-law said they finally picked a band for their wedding reception, I admittedly wasn't expecting much. For one, I knew they had a limited budget, and two, I am rarely impressed by the sound of live bands. When I saw Trilogy's extensive song list, I thought there was no way they could play all of them well. Make no mistake, Trilogy Band was GREAT for a lot of reasons. Kylee has great social skills. We approached her with a few 'little' emergencies just before the wedding party arrived and she was very attentive, kind, and effective. Talent wise, they were all very strong vocally, very skilled on their instruments, and brought great energy. The dance floor was filled every minute and the band members spoke and acted like professionals the whole time. They looked like they were having fun too! Wishing the Trilogy Band all the best! Out of all of our wedding vendors, The Sound Alternative was the best one. They were professional, talented, and fun. They even rolled with the changes when our plans on the wedding day changed. They were flexible and fantastic. Highly, highly, highly recommended to anyone getting married.

Hire Christina and the CKB Band. They are, without a doubt, the most passionate band that we interviewed. Christina was the first vendor that I spoke with when we were beginning our wedding planning journey, and I should have hired her on the spot. However, I am glad that we interviewed approximately six other bands because we were able to see how much Christina and the CKB stands out amongst their peers. Christina checked in with me over the course of about six months; not in a ‘sales’ way, but in a genuine ‘how is the crazy world of wedding planning treating you?’ way. She is the only band that reached out post interview and made sure that all of our questions were answered thoroughly. She continuously proved that she and her band would go above and beyond for us for our wedding. We were able to see CKB perform live and quickly hired her afterwards. Over the course of about a year, we worked together to create our ceremony, cocktail, and reception music dreams come true. Christina was so patient with all of my questions and guided us towards selecting appropriate instruments for our day. Our wedding day music was absolutely perfect thanks to CKB and their professionalism and talent. We selected a Frank Sinatra / Rat Pack themed cocktail hour and first dance song and we are still blown away at how amazing the male vocalist was at performing. I was so impressed by how apparent it was that the members of CKB were truly having a great time performing. I cannot thank CKB enough for being such a fantastic part of our wedding day. I won’t miss wedding planning, but I will miss talking with Christina. Thank you for everything!

The band absolutely CRUSHED it and had people on the dance floor the whole night during the reception and after party! We were complimented the whole evening on the band’s performance and was truly a highlight of our wedding. Molly was amazing to work with through the whole planning process the last year! She was prompt, courteous and professional! Highly recommend to kick your party into high gear!!

I hired NKG Band for my wedding this past weekend at Sheperd’s Hollow. To say this group are consummate professionals is an understatement. This is one of the most talented group of musicians in the metro Detroit area. The band are tied together as both friends and family so their chemistry just elevates their performances!They are not just going through the motions, it’s obvious how much fun they are having. They threw in some surprise songs I had requested during the band breaks so it was amazing hearing them live! Choosing my music and entertainment for my wedding was one of the most important decisions I made since I’m the type of bride who is on the dance floor the entire night! I was obsessively trying to coordinate the perfect mix and they helped bring this to fruition. You can upgrade to horns too, which we are so glad we did. I got countless compliments throughout the night on how talented they are and how incredible their stage set up was. They also helped set up mics and sound for the ceremony which was super helpful. Their MC, Tony, is awesome and kept the energy high and the night moving smoothly. Also, shoutout to my hugely talented childhood buddy, Renee Turner who is one of the female vocals. How extremely special it was to have her a part of my wedding day! I cannot recommend NKG Band enough for your wedding or special event!

Fritts and Chips were the BEST to work with! They clearly knew what they were doing and kept the party going all night long! They were communicative and detail oriented, ensuring that our wedding went smoothly. I think every guest came up to me at our wedding and mentioned how much they loved Fritts and Chips! The mix of Live Music and DJ was absolutely perfect to get in some of the radio hits while still having the classic sound and feel of a live band! I would recommend them to absolutely anyone looking for music at an event!

Christian and all the members of SpaceCat were absolutely incredible. From all the prep work that was done before to make sure the night went seamless for our special day, Christian went above and beyond. If you want to make sure your guest have a great night, SpaceCat will make sure they have the crowd dancing all night and keep everyone entertained until the very end. Couldn’t recommend this band quicker to anyone going forward!

We booked Jerry Ross Band for our wedding 2 years prior (had to reschedule due to pandemic) and they handled everything with class from day one until after our wedding. All we have heard were compliments like "best wedding band ever"! Can't say enough about these guys - so many different styles, everything was great. 5 stars all around, would hire them again!!
