Congratulations on your engagement!
My name is Merly Downey. I am a Justice of the Peace, and Marriage and Family therapist in the State of Connecticut.
I offer wedding officiant services in English and Spanish. My approach is to get to know you, learn about your love story and use that to create your personalized wedding script.
As a Justice of the Peace, I officiate civil (non-religious) wedding ceremonies. However, I am more than happy to incorporate religious, cultural and any other personal component to create the perfect ceremony for you.
I am located in the Greater Hartford area, and willing to travel throughout Connecticut. I offer discounts for elopements, weekday and off-season weddings.
Please include the date, time and location of your wedding ceremony. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can email me, call me or text me!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Merly was a pleasure to work with. She was down to earth and took the time to get to know us as a couple. We went into crafting the ceremony pretty overwhelmed with wedding planning; we had very little concept of what we wanted other than steering away from a traditional ceremony. Merly was patient, flexible and gave us both valuable guidance and the freedom to make the ceremony our own. She was professional and warm; she made our wedding ceremony something so special to us!Sent on 03/25/2018
