Vrooman Mansion is a historic estate and wedding venue in Bloomington, Illinois, that is also a full service gourmet bed and breakfast. Built in 1869 and updated with the modern amenities you and your guests need, this refined Central Illinois property is a one-of-a-kind setting for a one-of-a-kind occasion. Facilities and Capacity: Up to 75 Guests TOTAL

The Mansion itself was built in 1869 and combines classic elegance with contemporary amenities, having a terracotta exterior and a restored interior. A couple may select between a variety of indoor and outdoor sites for picturesque photography settings. These premises can readily host an intimate gathering of up to 75 guests indoors or outdoors.

The iconic stained glass windows in the foyer, set behind the sweeping staircase, is ideal for anyone wanting an epic entrance to their event. The acoustics of the Foyer in the Main House enhance the gentle sounds of the house piano, the strumming of a local string quartet, or any other wedding musicians.Other historic details in the parlor, library, music room and dinging room add to the sense of a significant occasion while well-equipped suites are ideal as changing rooms for bridal parties and nearlyweds to relax and prepare.

Ceremony & Reception Packages

We offer Ceremony, Cocktail Reception, and Sit Down Dinner Receptions as stand alone events or combo packages. Based on your preferences, guest count, (and the weather) we can host your event either indoors in the Foyer, Parlor and Music Room, or we can host you outdoors between the Mansion and Carriage House also utilizing the west facing covered porch. For outdoor weddings, we have a few tents available for your use, but if you'd like more options we can coordinate that for you.

Food and alcohol are not included in the package pricing, however as a gourmet bed and breakfast, we have several options to offer you! Ask about our Bridal Brunch, Lunch & Tea Menus, Mimosa Bar, and options for either a Cocktail Reception or Sit Down Dinner. You can also have the caterer of your choosing. We're here to help make your vision a reality and love to work with other local businesses to make that happen.

• All of the tables, chairs, silverware, drinkware, servingware, and plating are included in packages. We do all of the setup, takedown and clean up ensuring you a stress free day.
• Need an Officiant? We have one on staff.
• Looking for a Pianist for your ceremony? We have that, too.
• What abou aprofessional pastry chef for your Wedding Cake or desserts? We offer that as an add-on.

At Vrooman Mansion we host wedding ceremonies and receptions, but as also are the ideal location for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties and more.

Accommodations for You & Your Guests

If you have 30 or more guests, the Reception Package pricing includes exclusive use of the entire property and all 7 rooms in both the Mansion and Carriage House, to ensure you have the ultimate personal experience with no outside guests, and our entire staff devoted to you.

This will give you entire use of the 1st & 2nd floors of the Mansion and Carriage House. Included are all seven guestrooms for up to 14 guests the night of the reception and a gourmet breakfast for everyone the next morning, which is included in the package pricing. If you'd like we can work with your guests to pay for their rooms, reducing your overall cost.

We also offer an overnight discount to your guests who would like to arrive a day or two earlier, or stay a day or two later to extend their experience (and avoid the hassle of switching hotels!)

What could be easier than having your bridal party and/or immediate family under one roof to enjoy getting ready and having photos taken together before the big event?

And don’t forget about your special night! The Carriage House with it's king suite and indoor fireplace is the perfect retreat for the two of you on your wedding night. We suggest blocking off the entire house for just the two of you to enjoy. Because it is separate from the Main House, you will be guaranteed the utmost privacy for a relaxing and romantic evening.
