The Grove Redfield Estate is an award winning wedding and event venue located in Glenview, Illinois on the grounds of The Grove Nature Preserve, a 150 + acre National Historic Landmark. Built in 1929 by Prairie School architect George Elmslie, the estate features an elegant Craftsman style home, outdoor Pavilion, Gazebo and meadow. This stunning estate is ideal for weddings, retreats, meetings, milestones and life celebrations, anniversaries and Holiday gatherings. The entire estate is included in your rental.
The maximum guest capacity is 115 - 120 for a fully seated event, wedding ceremony or reception in the outdoor Pavilion, or 125 for a cocktail style reception, with minimal seating, in the Pavilion.
The historic home accommodates a maximum of 50-75 guests for fully seated events (primarily November - mid-April during the cold weather season), and 60 maximum for wedding ceremonies inside the Great Room.
FACILITIES
The historic Redfield home has the picturesque look of a Northern European country house. Its design reflects the style and taste of an earlier era with a beamed cathedral ceiling, tiled fireplace and beautiful woodwork. Enjoy the views outside through original leaded glass windows throughout the home, and you may just catch a glimpse of deer wandering the estate. The loft area overlooking the Great Room is ideal for musicians or DJ's to perform. Three elegant dressing rooms are available for wedding preparations. Caterers have use of the on-site commercial grade kitchen. Enjoy cocktails on the patio just off the Great Room after your wedding ceremony, before dinner and dancing.
The outdoor stone Pavilion is one of the Chicago areas most sought after celebration spaces. Complete with a dramatic outdoor fireplace, the Pavilion is equipped with eight electrical outlets, dimmable ceiling lighting, and urns filled with seasonal plants and flowers. Bistro lighting hung high in trees surround this beautiful structure. The Pavilion is perfect for ceremonies, receptions, corporate events, and milestone celebrations.
The Gazebo Plan your ceremony under the woodland Gazebo just a short walk from the house, across a rustic bridge. An electrical outlet is available for your musicians, DJ or officiant.
The Great Oak Tree our majestic 125 + year old oak tree, adjacent to the front entrance of the historic home, is another location choice for your ceremony. The stucco and stone facade of the house, along with magnificent trunk and branches will frame your photos beautifully.

One of the most magical places a couple can host their wedding reception (and ceremony)! We simply love the Grove and all it has to offer. From their sprawling acres with winding creeks, a stone gazebo perfect for photos, benches scattered for guests to simply sit and take in all the scenery, to a gorgeous pavilion with a roaring fireplace. We love everything that the Grove has to offer. If you are hosting a more intimate affair, we definitely suggest you take a walk around the grounds and let your imagination run wild with all the possibilities for your special event. Carol is a delight to work with and their caterer options are top in the industry! We look forward to working with you again soon Carol!

The staff at the Redfield estate is very friendly and dedicated and contributes to make a wedding at the Grove a very enjoyable experience. From the main coordinator to the bartender, every person at the Refield estate was very welcoming. The location is the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding but provides nice alternatives when the weather is not on your side. I liked the opportunity to walk in the gardens and to explore the woods while photographing my clients, all within a couple minutes from the main buildings. The atmosphere is very relaxed and exotic and put this little gem of a venue in a category of its own.

The Redfield Estate at the Grove is an extraordinary setting for a wedding, especially a summer affair. There's plenty of space for an elegant, intimate outdoor ceremony on the lawn, and the option of dining and dancing inside the mansion itself or in the outdoor pavilion. The Chicago wedding DJ professionals of Fourth Estate Audio are frequent performers at the Redfield Estate, and we appreciate the attentiveness of the staff to client, guest and vendor alike. Every event is truly memorable. Here's a gallery of one of ours: https://www.pinterest.com/chicagodjlights/stacy-pj-jayawardene-real-chicago-wedding/.
